sit And Jacob said unto his father, I [am] Esau thy

firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray

thee, {sit} and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.

sit And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the

children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye

{sit} here?

sit Speak, ye that ride on white asses, ye that {sit}
in

judgment, and walk by the way.

sit Then said she, {Sit} still, my daughter, until
thou

know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest,

until he have finished the thing this day.

sit Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down
there:

and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he

said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, {sit} down here. And he turned

aside, and sat down.

sit And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and

said, {Sit} ye down here. And they sat down.

sit <1SA9 -22> And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought

them into the parlour, and made them {sit} in the chiefest place

among them that were bidden, which [were] about thirty persons.

sit <1SA16 -11> And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all [thy]

children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and,

behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send
and

fetch him: for we will not {sit} down till he come hither.

sit <1SA20 -5> And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow
[is]

the new moon, and I should not fail to {sit} with the king at
meat:

but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third

[day] at even.

sit <2SA19 -8> Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they

told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth {sit} in
the

gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had
fled

every man to his tent.

sit <1KI1 -13> Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto
him,

Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid,
saying,

Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall
{sit}

upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?

sit <1KI1 -17> And she said unto him, My lord, thou swarest by
the

LORD thy God unto thine handmaid, [saying], Assuredly Solomon thy

son shall reign after me, and he shall {sit} upon my throne.

sit <1KI1 -20> And thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel

[are] upon thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall {sit} on

the throne of my lord the king after him.

sit <1KI1 -24> And Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said,

Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall {sit} upon my throne?

sit <1KI1 -27> Is this thing done by my lord the king, and thou
hast

not showed [it] unto thy servant, who should {sit} on the throne
of

my lord the king after him?

sit <1KI1 -30> Even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of
Israel,

saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he
shall

{sit} upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do
this

day.

sit <1KI1 -35> Then ye shall come up after him, that he may come
and

{sit} upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead: and I
have

appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.

sit <1KI1 -48> And also thus said the king, Blessed [be] the LORD

God of Israel, which hath given [one] to {sit} on my throne this

day, mine eyes even seeing [it].

sit <1KI3 -6> And Solomon said, Thou hast showed unto thy servant

David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee
in

truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with
thee;

and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that t

hou hast given him a son to {sit} on his throne, as [it is] this

day.

sit <1KI8 -20> And the LORD hath performed his word that he
spake,

and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and {sit} on
the

throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house
for

the name of the LORD God of Israel.

sit <1KI8 -25> Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy

servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There

shall not fail thee a man in my sight to {sit} on the throne of

Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they

walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

sit <2KI7 -3> And there were four leprous men at the entering in
of

the gate: and they said one to another, Why {sit} we here until
we

die?

sit <2KI7 -4> If we say, We will enter into the city, then the

famine [is] in the city, and we shall die there: and if we {sit}

still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto

the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live

; and if they kill us, we shall but die.

sit <2KI10 -30> And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast
done

well in executing [that which is] right in mine eyes, [and] hast

done unto the house of Ahab according to all that [was] in mine

heart, thy children of the fourth [generation] shall {sit}

on the throne of Israel.

sit <2KI15 -12> This [was] the word of the LORD which he spake
unto

Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall {sit} on the throne of Israel unto
the

fourth [generation]. And so it came to pass.

sit <2KI18 -27> But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master
sent me

to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? [hath he] not

[sent me] to the men which {sit} on the wall, that they may eat

their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

sit <1CH28 -5> And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me
many

sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to {sit} upon the throne of
the

kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

sit <2CH6 -16> Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy

servant David my father that which thou hast promised him,
saying,

There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to {sit} upon the
throne

of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to thei

r way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

sit I have hated the congregation of evildoers; and
will

not {sit} with the wicked.

sit They that {sit} in the gate speak against me;
and I

[was] the song of the drunkards.

sit Such as {sit} in darkness and in the shadow of

death, [being] bound in affliction and iron;

sit A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord,
{Sit}

thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

sit Princes also did {sit} [and] speak against me:

[but] thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

sit It is] vain for you to rise up early, to {sit} up

late, to eat the bread of sorrows: [for] so he giveth his beloved

sleep.

sit If thy children will keep my covenant and my

testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also
{sit}

upon thy throne for evermore.

sit Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich {sit}
in

low place.

sit And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she
[being]

desolate shall {sit} upon the ground.

sit For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend

into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I
will

{sit} also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of
the

north:

sit And in mercy shall the throne be established: and
he

shall {sit} upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging,

and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.

sit For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no

purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength
[is]

to {sit} still.

sit But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy

master and to thee to speak these words? [hath he] not [sent me]
to

the men that {sit} upon the wall, that they may eat their own
dung,

and drink their own piss with you?

sit To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners

from the prison, [and] them that {sit} in darkness out of the
prison

house.

sit Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter
of

Babylon, {sit} on the ground: [there is] no throne, O daughter of

the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and
delicate.

sit Come down, and {sit} in the dust, O virgin
daughter

of Babylon, sit on the ground: [there is] no throne, O daughter
of

the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and
delicate.

sit {Sit} thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O

daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The

lady of kingdoms.

sit Therefore hear now this, [thou that art] given to

pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart,
I

[am], and none else beside me; I shall not {sit} [as] a widow,

neither shall I know the loss of children:

sit Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall

burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of
the

flame: [there shall] not [be] a coal to warm at, [nor] fire to
{sit}

before it.

sit Shake thyself from the dust; arise, [and] {sit}
down,

O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive

daughter of Zion.

sit Why do we {sit} still? assemble yourselves, and
let

us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there:
for

the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of
gall

to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.

sit Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the
LORD,

Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the
kings

that {sit} upon David's throne, and the priests, and the
prophets,

and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenn

ess.

sit Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble

yourselves, {sit} down: for your principalities shall come down,

[even] the crown of your glory.

sit Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting,
to

{sit} with them to eat and to drink.

sit For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a

man to {sit} upon the throne of the house of Israel;

sit And they said unto him, {Sit} down now, and read
it

in our ears. So Baruch read [it] in their ears.

sit Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king
of

Judah; He shall have none to {sit} upon the throne of David: and
his

dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the
night

to the frost.

sit Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down

from [thy] glory, and {sit} in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab
shall

come upon thee, [and] he shall destroy thy strong holds.

sit How doth the city {sit} solitary, [that was] full
of

people! [how] is she become as a widow! she [that was] great
among

the nations, [and] princess among the provinces, [how] is she
become

tributary!

sit The elders of the daughter of Zion {sit} upon the

ground, [and] keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their
heads;

they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of
Jerusalem

hang down their heads to the ground.

sit Then all the princes of the sea shall come down
from

their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their
broidered

garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall

{sit} upon the ground, and shall tremble at [every]

moment, and be astonished at thee.

sit Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus
saith

the Lord GOD; Because thine heart [is] lifted up, and thou hast

said, I [am] a God, I {sit} [in] the seat of God, in the midst of

the seas; yet thou [art] a man, and not God, though thou

set thine heart as the heart of God:

sit And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and

they {sit} before thee [as] my people, and they hear thy words,
but

they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love,

[but] their heart goeth after their covetousness.

sit It is] for the prince; the prince, he shall {sit}
in

it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the

porch of [that] gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.

sit I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the

Ancient of days did {sit}, whose garment [was] white as snow, and

the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne [was like]
the

fiery flame, [and] his wheels [as] burning fire.

sit But the judgment shall {sit}, and they shall take

away his dominion, to consume and to destroy [it] unto the end.

sit Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the
valley

of Jehoshaphat: for there will I {sit} to judge all the heathen

round about.

sit But they shall {sit} every man under his vine and

under his fig tree; and none shall make [them] afraid: for the
mouth

of the LORD of hosts hath spoken [it].

sit Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall,
I

shall arise; when I {sit} in darkness, the LORD [shall be] a
light

unto me.

sit Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy

fellows that {sit} before thee: for they [are] men wondered at:
for,

behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

sit Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he

shall bear the glory, and shall {sit} and rule upon his throne;
and

he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace
shall

be between them both.

sit And he shall {sit} [as] a refiner and purifier of

silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as
gold

and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in

righteousness.

sit And I say unto you, That many shall come from the

east and west, and shall {sit} down with Abraham, and Isaac, and

Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

sit And he commanded the multitude to {sit} down on
the

grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking
up

to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to [his]

disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

sit And he commanded the multitude to {sit} down on
the

ground.

sit And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you,

That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son
of

man shall {sit} in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit
upon

twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

sit And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you,

That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son
of

man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall {sit}
upon

twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

sit And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith
unto

him, Grant that these my two sons may {sit}, the one on thy right

hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

sit And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of
my

cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with:
but

to {sit} on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give,
but

[it shall be given to them] for whom it is prepared

of my Father.

sit The Lord said unto my Lord, {Sit} thou on my
right

hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

sit Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees {sit} in
Moses'

seat:

sit When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and
all

the holy angels with him, then shall he {sit} upon the throne of
his

glory:

sit Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called

Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, {Sit} ye here, while I
go

and pray yonder.

sit And he commanded them to make all {sit} down by

companies upon the green grass.

sit And he commanded the people to {sit} down on the

ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake,

and gave to his disciples to set before them]; and they did set

them] before the people.

sit They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may
{sit},

one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy
glory.

sit But to {sit} on my right hand and on my left
hand is

not mine to give; but it shall be given to them] for whom it is

prepared.

sit For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The
LORD

said to my Lord, {Sit} thou on my right hand, till I make thine

enemies thy footstool.

sit And they came to a place which was named
Gethsemane:

and he saith to his disciples, {Sit} ye here, while I shall pray.

sit To give light to them that {sit} in darkness and
in]

the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

sit For they were about five thousand men. And he
said to

his disciples, Make them {sit} down by fifties in a company.

sit And they did so, and made them all {sit} down.

sit Blessed are] those servants, whom the lord when
he

cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall

gird himself, and make them to {sit} down to meat, and will come

forth and serve them.

sit And they shall come from the east, and from] the

west, and from the north, and from] the south, and shall {sit}
down

in the kingdom of God.

sit When thou art bidden of any man] to a wedding,
{sit}

not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than
thou

be bidden of him;

sit But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the

lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto

thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the

presence of them that {sit} at meat with thee.

sit But when thou art bidden, go and {sit} down in
the

lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto

thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the

presence of them that sit at meat with thee.

sit And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he
said

unto him, Take thy bill, and {sit} down quickly, and write fifty.

sit But which of you, having a servant plowing or
feeding

cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the
field,

Go and {sit} down to meat?

sit And David himself saith in the book of Psalms,
The

Lord said unto my Lord, {Sit} thou on my right hand,

sit That ye may eat and drink at my table in my
kingdom,

and {sit} on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

sit Hereafter shall the Son of man {sit} on the right

hand of the power of God.

sit And Jesus said, Make the men {sit} down. Now there

was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about

five thousand.

sit Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God
had

sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins,
according

to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to {sit} on his throne;

sit For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he

saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, {Sit} thou on my right

hand,

sit And he said, How can I, except some man should
guide

me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and {sit} with
him.

sit <1CO8 -10> For if any man see thee which hast knowledge
{sit} at

meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which
is

weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to
idols;

sit And hath raised us] up together, and made us] {sit}

together in heavenly places] in Christ Jesus:

sit But to which of the angels said he at any time,
{Sit}

on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

sit And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay

clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and
say

to the poor, Stand thou there, or {sit} here under my footstool:

sit And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay

clothing, and say unto him, {Sit} thou here in a good place; and
say

to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:

sit To him that overcometh will I grant to {sit} with
me

in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my

Father in his throne.

sit So he carried me away in the spirit into the

wilderness: and I saw a woman {sit} upon a scarlet coloured
beast,

full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

sit How much she hath glorified herself, and lived

deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith
in

her heart, I {sit} a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no

sorrow.

sit That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the
flesh of

captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses,
and

of them that {sit} on them, and the flesh of all men, both] free
and

bond, both small and great.
