ruin <2CH28 -23> For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus,
which

smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria
help

them, [therefore] will I sacrifice to them, that they may help
me.

But they were the {ruin} of him, and of all Israel.

ruin Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast

brought his strong holds to {ruin}.

ruin For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who

knoweth the {ruin} of them both?

ruin A lying tongue hateth [those that are]
afflicted by

it; and a flattering mouth worketh {ruin}.

ruin When a man shall take hold of his brother of the

house of his father, [saying], Thou hast clothing, be thou our

ruler, and [let] this {ruin} [be] under thy hand:

ruin Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people
was

not, [till] the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the

wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the

palaces thereof; [and] he brought it to {ruin}.

ruin For thou hast made of a city an heap; [of] a

defenced city a {ruin}: a palace of strangers to be no city; it

shall never be built.

ruin Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel,

every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and

turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall

not be your {ruin}.

ruin Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy

mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy

merchandise, and all thy men of war, that [are] in thee, and in
all

thy company which [is] in the midst of thee, shall fall in

to the midst of the seas in the day of thy {ruin}.

ruin Upon his {ruin} shall all the fowls of the
heaven

remain, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his
branches:

ruin But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man

that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against

which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell;
and

the {ruin} of that house was great.
