king's And the king of Sodom went out to meet him
after

his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings
that

[were] with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which [is] the {king's}

dale.

king's And Joseph's master took him, and put him into

the prison, a place where the {king's} prisoners [were] bound:
and

he was there in the prison.

king's Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country:
we

will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards,
neither

will we drink [of] the water of the wells: we will go by the

{king's} [high] way, we will not turn to the right hand n

or to the left, until we have passed thy borders.

king's Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn

into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink [of]
the

waters of the well: [but] we will go along by the {king's} [high]

way, until we be past thy borders.

king's <1SA18 -22> And Saul commanded his servants, [saying],

Commune with David secretly, and say, Behold, the king hath
delight

in thee, and all his servants love thee: now therefore be the

{king's} son in law.

king's <1SA18 -23> And Saul's servants spake those words in the
ears

of David. And David said, Seemeth it to you [a] light [thing] to
be

a {king's} son in law, seeing that I [am] a poor man, and lightly

esteemed?

king's <1SA18 -25> And Saul said, Thus shall ye say to David, The

king desireth not any dowry, but an hundred foreskins of the

Philistines, to be avenged of the {king's} enemies. But Saul
thought

to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.

king's <1SA18 -26> And when his servants told David these words,
it

pleased David well to be the {king's} son in law: and the days
were

not expired.

king's <1SA18 -27> Wherefore David arose and went, he and his
men,

and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought
their

foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he

might be the {king's} son in law. And Saul gave him Mic

hal his daughter to wife.

king's <1SA20 -29> And he said, Let me go, I pray thee; for our

family hath a sacrifice in the city; and my brother, he hath

commanded me [to be there]: and now, if I have found favour in
thine

eyes, let me get away, I pray thee, and see my brethren. Ther

efore he cometh not unto the {king's} table.

king's <1SA21 -8> And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not

here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought
my

sword nor my weapons with me, because the {king's} business
required

haste.

king's <1SA22 -14> Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said,
And

who [is so] faithful among all thy servants as David, which is
the

{king's} son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable
in

thine house?

king's <1SA23 -20> Now therefore, O king, come down according to
all

the desire of thy soul to come down; and our part [shall be] to

deliver him into the {king's} hand.

king's <1SA26 -16> This thing [is] not good that thou hast done.

[As] the LORD liveth, ye [are] worthy to die, because ye have not

kept your master, the LORD'S anointed. And now see where the

{king's} spear [is], and the cruse of water that [was] at his b

olster.

king's <1SA26 -22> And David answered and said, Behold the
{king's}

spear! and let one of the young men come over and fetch it.

king's <2SA9 -11> Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all

that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy

servant do. As for Mephibosheth, [said the king], he shall eat
at my

table, as one of the {king's} sons.

king's <2SA9 -13> So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did
eat

continually at the {king's} table; and was lame on both his feet.

king's <2SA11 -2> And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that
David

arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the {king's}

house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the

woman [was] very beautiful to look upon.

king's <2SA11 -8> And David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house,
and

wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the {king's} house, and

there followed him a mess [of meat] from the king.

king's <2SA11 -9> But Uriah slept at the door of the {king's}
house

with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his
house.

king's <2SA11 -20> And if so be that the {king's} wrath arise,
and

he say unto thee, Wherefore approached ye so nigh unto the city
when

ye did fight? knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall?

king's <2SA11 -24> And the shooters shot from off the wall upon
thy

servants; and [some] of the {king's} servants be dead, and thy

servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.

king's <2SA12 -30> And he took their {king's} crown from off his

head, the weight whereof [was] a talent of gold with the precious

stones: and it was [set] on David's head. And he brought forth
the

spoil of the city in great abundance.

king's <2SA13 -4> And he said unto him, Why [art] thou, [being]
the

{king's} son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And
Amnon

said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister.

king's <2SA13 -18> And [she had] a garment of divers colours upon

her: for with such robes were the {king's} daughters [that were]

virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted
the

door after her.

king's <2SA13 -23> And it came to pass after two full years, that

Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which [is] beside
Ephraim:

and Absalom invited all the {king's} sons.

king's <2SA13 -27> But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and

all the {king's} sons go with him.

king's <2SA13 -29> And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as

Absalom had commanded. Then all the {king's} sons arose, and
every

man gat him up upon his mule, and fled.

king's <2SA13 -30> And it came to pass, while they were in the
way,

that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the

{king's} sons, and there is not one of them left.

king's <2SA13 -32> And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's
brother,

answered and said, Let not my lord suppose [that] they have slain

all the young men the {king's} sons; for Amnon only is dead: for
by

the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined

from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

king's <2SA13 -33> Now therefore let not my lord the king take
the

thing to his heart, to think that all the {king's} sons are dead:

for Amnon only is dead.

king's <2SA13 -35> And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the

{king's} sons come: as thy servant said, so it is.

king's <2SA13 -36> And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an

end of speaking, that, behold, the {king's} sons came, and
lifted up

their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept

very sore.

king's <2SA14 -1> Now Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the

{king's} heart [was] toward Absalom.

king's <2SA14 -24> And the king said, Let him turn to his own
house,

and let him not see my face. So Absalom returned to his own
house,

and saw not the {king's} face.

king's <2SA14 -26> And when he polled his head, (for it was at
every

year's end that he polled [it]: because [the hair] was heavy on
him,

therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two

hundred shekels after the {king's} weight.

king's <2SA14 -28> So Absalom dwelt two full years in Jerusalem,
and

saw not the {king's} face.

king's <2SA14 -32> And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto

thee, saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to
say,

Wherefore am I come from Geshur? [it had been] good for me [to
have

been] there still: now therefore let me see the {kin

g's} face; and if there be [any] iniquity in me, let him kill me.

king's <2SA15 -15> And the {king's} servants said unto the king,

Behold, thy servants [are ready to do] whatsoever my lord the
king

shall appoint.

king's <2SA15 -35> And [hast thou] not there with thee Zadok and

Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, [that] what thing

soever thou shalt hear out of the {king's} house, thou shalt tell

[it] to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.

king's <2SA16 -2> And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou
by

these? And Ziba said, The asses [be] for the {king's} household
to

ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat;

and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness

may drink.

king's <2SA18 -12> And the man said unto Joab, Though I should

receive a thousand [shekels] of silver in mine hand, [yet] would
I

not put forth mine hand against the {king's} son: for in our
hearing

the king charged thee and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Bew

are that none [touch] the young man Absalom.

king's <2SA18 -18> Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and
reared

up for himself a pillar, which [is] in the {king's} dale: for he

said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called

the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto thi

s day, Absalom's place.

king's <2SA18 -20> And Joab said unto him, Thou shalt not bear

tidings this day, but thou shalt bear tidings another day: but
this

day thou shalt bear no tidings, because the {king's} son is dead.

king's <2SA18 -29> And the king said, Is the young man Absalom
safe?

And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the {king's} servant, and
[me]

thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what [it was].

king's <2SA19 -18> And there went over a ferry boat to carry over

the {king's} household, and to do what he thought good. And
Shimei

the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was come over

Jordan;

king's <2SA19 -42> And all the men of Judah answered the men of

Israel, Because the king [is] near of kin to us: wherefore then
be

ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the {king's}

[cost]? or hath he given us any gift?

king's <2SA24 -4> Notwithstanding the {king's} word prevailed

against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and
the

captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to

number the people of Israel.

king's <1KI1 -9> And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle
by

the stone of Zoheleth, which [is] by Enrogel, and called all his

brethren the {king's} sons, and all the men of Judah the king's

servants:

king's <1KI1 -9> And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle
by

the stone of Zoheleth, which [is] by Enrogel, and called all his

brethren the king's sons, and all the men of Judah the {king's}

servants:

king's <1KI1 -25> For he is gone down this day, and hath slain
oxen

and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the

{king's} sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the

priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, G

od save king Adonijah.

king's <1KI1 -28> Then king David answered and said, Call me

Bathsheba. And she came into the {king's} presence, and stood
before

the king.

king's <1KI1 -44> And the king hath sent with him Zadok the
priest,

and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the

Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride

upon the {king's} mule:

king's <1KI1 -47> And moreover the {king's} servants came to
bless

our lord king David, saying, God make the name of Solomon better

than thy name, and make his throne greater than thy throne. And
the

king bowed himself upon the bed.

king's <1KI2 -19> Bathsheba therefore went unto king Solomon, to

speak unto him for Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her,
and

bowed himself unto her, and sat down on his throne, and caused a

seat to be set for the {king's} mother; and she sat on his

right hand.

king's <1KI4 -5> And Azariah the son of Nathan [was] over the

officers; and Zabud the son of Nathan [was] principal officer,
[and]

the {king's} friend:

king's <1KI9 -1> And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished
the

building of the house of the LORD, and the {king's} house, and
all

Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,

king's <1KI9 -10> And it came to pass at the end of twenty years,

when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and

the {king's} house,

king's <1KI10 -12> And the king made of the almug trees pillars
for

the house of the LORD, and for the {king's} house, harps also and

psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were

seen unto this day.

king's <1KI10 -28> And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt,
and

linen yarn: the {king's} merchants received the linen yarn at a

price.

king's <1KI11 -14> And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto

Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he [was] of the {king's} seed in
Edom.

king's <1KI13 -6> And the king answered and said unto the man of

God, Entreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me,
that

my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the

LORD, and the {king's} hand was restored him again, and

became as [it was] before.

king's <1KI14 -26> And he took away the treasures of the house of

the LORD, and the treasures of the {king's} house; he even took
away

all: and he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had

made.

king's <1KI14 -27> And king Rehoboam made in their stead brazen

shields, and committed [them] unto the hands of the chief of the

guard, which kept the door of the {king's} house.

king's <1KI15 -18> Then Asa took all the silver and the gold
[that

were] left in the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the

treasures of the {king's} house, and delivered them into the
hand of

his servants: and king Asa sent them to Benhadad, the son

of Tabrimon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, that dwelt at

Damascus, saying,

king's <1KI16 -18> And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the
city

was taken, that he went into the palace of the {king's} house,
and

burnt the king's house over him with fire, and died,

king's <1KI16 -18> And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the
city

was taken, that he went into the palace of the king's house, and

burnt the {king's} house over him with fire, and died,

king's <1KI22 -12> And all the prophets prophesied so, saying,
Go up

to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver [it]
into

the {king's} hand.

king's <1KI22 -26> And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and

carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash
the

{king's} son;

king's <2KI7 -9> Then they said one to another, We do not well:
this

day [is] a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we
tarry

till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now

therefore come, that we may go and tell the {king's} house

hold.

king's <2KI7 -11> And he called the porters; and they told [it]
to

the {king's} house within.

king's <2KI9 -34> And when he was come in, he did eat and drink,
and

said, Go, see now this cursed [woman], and bury her: for she
[is] a

{king's} daughter.

king's <2KI10 -6> Then he wrote a letter the second time to them,

saying, If ye [be] mine, and [if] ye will hearken unto my voice,

take ye the heads of the men your master's sons, and come to me
to

Jezreel by to morrow this time. Now the {king's} sons, [b

eing] seventy persons, [were] with the great men of the city,
which

brought them up.

king's <2KI10 -7> And it came to pass, when the letter came to
them,

that they took the {king's} sons, and slew seventy persons, and
put

their heads in baskets, and sent him [them] to Jezreel.

king's <2KI10 -8> And there came a messenger, and told him,
saying,

They have brought the heads of the {king's} sons. And he said,
Lay

ye them in two heaps at the entering in of the gate until the

morning.

king's <2KI11 -2> But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram,
sister

of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from
among

the {king's} sons [which were] slain; and they hid him, [even]
him

and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so t

hat he was not slain.

king's <2KI11 -4> And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched
the

rulers over hundreds, with the captains and the guard, and
brought

them to him into the house of the LORD, and made a covenant with

them, and took an oath of them in the house of the LOR

D, and showed them the {king's} son.

king's <2KI11 -5> And he commanded them, saying, This [is] the
thing

that ye shall do; A third part of you that enter in on the
sabbath

shall even be keepers of the watch of the {king's} house;

king's <2KI11 -12> And he brought forth the {king's} son, and put

the crown upon him, and [gave him] the testimony; and they made
him

king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said,
God

save the king.

king's <2KI11 -16> And they laid hands on her; and she went by
the

way by the which the horses came into the {king's} house: and
there

was she slain.

king's <2KI11 -19> And he took the rulers over hundreds, and the

captains, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they

brought down the king from the house of the LORD, and came by the

way of the gate of the guard to the {king's} house. And he

sat on the throne of the kings.

king's <2KI11 -20> And all the people of the land rejoiced, and
the

city was in quiet: and they slew Athaliah with the sword [beside]

the {king's} house.

king's <2KI12 -10> And it was [so], when they saw that [there
was]

much money in the chest, that the {king's} scribe and the high

priest came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that
was

found in the house of the LORD.

king's <2KI12 -18> And Jehoash king of Judah took all the
hallowed

things that Jehoshaphat, and Jehoram, and Ahaziah, his fathers,

kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own hallowed things, and
all

the gold [that was] found in the treasures of the house

of the LORD, and in the {king's} house, and sent [it] to Hazael
king

of Syria: and he went away from Jerusalem.

king's <2KI13 -16> And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine
hand

upon the bow. And he put his hand [upon it]: and Elisha put his

hands upon the {king's} hands.

king's <2KI14 -14> And he took all the gold and silver, and all
the

vessels that were found in the house of the LORD, and in the

treasures of the {king's} house, and hostages, and returned to

Samaria.

king's <2KI15 -5> And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a

leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house.
And

Jotham the {king's} son [was] over the house, judging the people
of

the land.

king's <2KI15 -25> But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of
his,

conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of

the {king's} house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men
of

the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his

room.

king's <2KI16 -8> And Ahaz took the silver and gold that was
found

in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the {king's}

house, and sent [it for] a present to the king of Assyria.

king's <2KI16 -15> And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest,

saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and

the evening meat offering, and the {king's} burnt sacrifice, and
his

meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people o

f the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings;
and

sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the

blood of the sacrifice: and the brazen altar shall be for me to

inquire [by].

king's <2KI16 -18> And the covert for the sabbath that they had

built in the house, and the {king's} entry without, turned he
from

the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.

king's <2KI18 -15> And Hezekiah gave [him] all the silver that
was

found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the
{king's}

house.

king's <2KI18 -36> But the people held their peace, and answered
him

not a word: for the {king's} commandment was, saying, Answer him

not.

king's <2KI22 -12> And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and

Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and

Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the {king's},
saying,

king's <2KI24 -13> And he carried out thence all the treasures of

the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the {king's} house,
and

cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of
Israel

had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had sa

id.

king's <2KI24 -15> And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and

the {king's} mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and
the

mighty of the land, [those] carried he into captivity from
Jerusalem

to Babylon.

king's <2KI24 -15> And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and

the king's mother, and the {king's} wives, and his officers, and
the

mighty of the land, [those] carried he into captivity from
Jerusalem

to Babylon.

king's <2KI25 -4> And the city was broken up, and all the men of
war

[fled] by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which
[is]

by the {king's} garden: (now the Chaldees [were] against the city

round about:) and [the king] went the way toward th

e plain.

king's <2KI25 -9> And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the

{king's} house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great

[man's] house burnt he with fire.

king's <2KI25 -19> And out of the city he took an officer that
was

set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the

{king's} presence, which were found in the city, and the
principal

scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land,

and threescore men of the people of the land [that were] found
in

the city:

king's <1CH9 -18> Who hitherto [waited] in the {king's} gate

eastward: they [were] porters in the companies of the children of

Levi.

king's <1CH21 -4> Nevertheless the {king's} word prevailed
against

Joab. Wherefore Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel,
and

came to Jerusalem.

king's <1CH21 -6> But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among
them:

for the {king's} word was abominable to Joab.

king's <1CH25 -5> All these [were] the sons of Heman the {king's}

seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to
Heman

fourteen sons and three daughters.

king's <1CH25 -6> All these [were] under the hands of their
father

for song [in] the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries,
and

harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the

{king's} order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

king's <1CH27 -25> And over the {king's} treasures [was] Azmaveth

the son of Adiel: and over the storehouses in the fields, in the

cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, [was] Jehonathan

the son of Uzziah:

king's <1CH27 -32> Also Jonathan David's uncle was a counsellor,
a

wise man, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni [was] with

the {king's} sons:

king's <1CH27 -33> And Ahithophel [was] the king's counsellor:
and

Hushai the Archite [was] the {king's} companion:

king's <1CH27 -33> And Ahithophel [was] the {king's} counsellor:
and

Hushai the Archite [was] the king's companion:

king's <1CH27 -34> And after Ahithophel [was] Jehoiada the son of

Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the {king's} army [was]

Joab.

king's <1CH29 -6> Then the chief of the fathers and princes of
the

tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds,

with the rulers of the {king's} work, offered willingly,

king's <2CH1 -16> And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt,
and

linen yarn: the {king's} merchants received the linen yarn at a

price.

king's <2CH7 -11> Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD,
and

the {king's} house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to
make

in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously

effected.

king's <2CH9 -11> And the king made [of] the algum trees
terraces to

the house of the LORD, and to the {king's} palace, and harps and

psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in
the

land of Judah.

king's <2CH9 -21> For the {king's} ships went to Tarshish with
the

servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of
Tarshish

bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

king's <2CH12 -9> So Shishak king of Egypt came up against

Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD,
and

the treasures of the {king's} house; he took all: he carried away

also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.

king's <2CH12 -10> Instead of which king Rehoboam made shields of

brass, and committed [them] to the hands of the chief of the
guard,

that kept the entrance of the {king's} house.

king's <2CH16 -2> Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the

treasures of the house of the LORD and of the {king's} house, and

sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,

king's <2CH18 -5> Therefore the king of Israel gathered together
of

prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to

Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up;

for God will deliver [it] into the {king's} hand.

king's <2CH18 -25> Then the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah,

and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash

the {king's} son;

king's <2CH19 -11> And, behold, Amariah the chief priest [is]
over

you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael,
the

ruler of the house of Judah, for all the {king's} matters: also
the

Levites [shall be] officers before you. Deal courag

eously, and the LORD shall be with the good.

king's <2CH21 -17> And they came up into Judah, and brake into
it,

and carried away all the substance that was found in the {king's}

house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never
a

son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.

king's <2CH22 -11> But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king,
took

Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the {king's}
sons

that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So

Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of

Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid
him

from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.

king's <2CH23 -3> And all the congregation made a covenant with
the

king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the

{king's} son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of

David.

king's <2CH23 -5> And a third part [shall be] at the {king's}
house;

and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the
people

[shall be] in the courts of the house of the LORD.

king's <2CH23 -11> Then they brought out the {king's} son, and
put

upon him the crown, and [gave him] the testimony, and made him
king.

And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the
king.

king's <2CH23 -15> So they laid hands on her; and when she was
come

to the entering of the horse gate by the {king's} house, they
slew

her there.

king's <2CH23 -20> And he took the captains of hundreds, and the

nobles, and the governors of the people, and all the people of
the

land, and brought down the king from the house of the LORD: and
they

came through the high gate into the {king's} house, an

d set the king upon the throne of the kingdom.

king's <2CH24 -8> And at the {king's} commandment they made a
chest,

and set it without at the gate of the house of the LORD.

king's <2CH24 -11> Now it came to pass, that at what time the
chest

was brought unto the {king's} office by the hand of the Levites,
and

when they saw that [there was] much money, the king's scribe and
the

high priest's officer came and emptied the chest,

and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did
day

by day, and gathered money in abundance.

king's <2CH24 -11> Now it came to pass, that at what time the
chest

was brought unto the king's office by the hand of the Levites,
and

when they saw that [there was] much money, the {king's} scribe
and

the high priest's officer came and emptied the chest,

and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did
day

by day, and gathered money in abundance.

king's <2CH25 -16> And it came to pass, as he talked with him,
that

[the king] said unto him, Art thou made of the {king's} counsel?

forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare,

and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy the

e, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my

counsel.

king's <2CH25 -24> And [he took] all the gold and the silver, and

all the vessels that were found in the house of God with
Obededom,

and the treasures of the {king's} house, the hostages also, and

returned to Samaria.

king's <2CH26 -11> Moreover Uzziah had an host of fighting men,
that

went out to war by bands, according to the number of their
account

by the hand of Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the ruler, under the

hand of Hananiah, [one] of the {king's} captains.

king's <2CH26 -21> And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day
of

his death, and dwelt in a several house, [being] a leper; for he
was

cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son [was] over

the {king's} house, judging the people of the land.

king's <2CH28 -7> And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew
Maaseiah

the {king's} son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and
Elkanah

[that was] next to the king.

king's <2CH29 -25> And he set the Levites in the house of the
LORD

with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the

commandment of David, and of Gad the {king's} seer, and Nathan
the

prophet: for [so was] the commandment of the LORD by his

prophets.

king's <2CH31 -3> He appointed] also the {king's} portion of his

substance for the burnt offerings, [to wit], for the morning and

evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the
sabbaths,

and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as [it is]

written in the law of the LORD.

king's <2CH34 -20> And the king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the

son of Shaphan, and Abdon the son of Micah, and Shaphan the
scribe,

and Asaiah a servant of the {king's}, saying,

king's <2CH35 -7> And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock,
lambs

and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were
present,

to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks:
these

[were] of the {king's} substance.

king's <2CH35 -10> So the service was prepared, and the priests

stood in their place, and the Levites in their courses,
according to

the {king's} commandment.

king's <2CH35 -15> And the singers the sons of Asaph [were] in
their

place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and
Heman,

and Jeduthun the {king's} seer; and the porters [waited] at every

gate; they might not depart from their service; for

their brethren the Levites prepared for them.

king's Now because we have maintenance from [the

{king's}] palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king's

dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king;

king's Now because we have maintenance from [the
king's]

palace, and it was not meet for us to see the {king's} dishonour,

therefore have we sent and certified the king;

king's Now therefore, if [it seem] good to the king,
let

there be search made in the {king's} treasure house, which [is]

there at Babylon, whether it be [so], that a decree was made of

Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and

let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.

king's With] three rows of great stones, and a row of
new

timber: and let the expenses be given out of the {king's} house:

king's Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the

elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that
of

the {king's} goods, [even] of the tribute beyond the river,

forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not

hindered.

king's And whatsoever more shall be needful for the
house

of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow [it]

out of the {king's} treasure house.

king's Blessed [be] the LORD God of our fathers, which

hath put [such a thing] as this in the {king's} heart, to
beautify

the house of the LORD which [is] in Jerusalem:

king's And hath extended mercy unto me before the
king,

and his counsellors, and before all the {king's} mighty princes.
And

I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God [was] upon me,
and

I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go

up with me.

king's And they delivered the king's commissions unto
the

{king's} lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the
river:

and they furthered the people, and the house of God.

king's And they delivered the {king's} commissions
unto

the king's lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the
river:

and they furthered the people, and the house of God.

king's O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be

attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy

servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee,
thy

servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this

man. For I was the {king's} cupbearer.

king's And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the
{king's}

forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of

the palace which [appertained] to the house, and for the wall of
the

city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And

the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon
me.

king's Then I came to the governors beyond the river,
and

gave them the {king's} letters. Now the king had sent captains of

the army and horsemen with me.

king's Then I went on to the gate of the fountain,
and to

the {king's} pool: but [there was] no place for the beast [that
was]

under me to pass.

king's Then I told them of the hand of my God which
was

good upon me; as also the {king's} words that he had spoken unto
me.

And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened
their

hands for [this] good [work].

king's But the gate of the fountain repaired Shallun
the

son of Colhozeh, the ruler of part of Mizpah; he built it, and

covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and
the

bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Siloah by the

{king's} garden, and unto the stairs that go down from the city
of

David.

king's Palal the son of Uzai, over against the turning

[of the wall], and the tower which lieth out from the {king's}
high

house, that [was] by the court of the prison. After him Pedaiah
the

son of Parosh.

king's There were also that said, We have borrowed
money

for the {king's} tribute, [and that upon] our lands and
vineyards.

king's For [it was] the {king's} commandment
concerning

them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for

every day.

king's And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the

children of Zerah the son of Judah, [was] at the {king's} hand in

all matters concerning the people.

king's And when these days were expired, the king made
a

feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the
palace,

both unto great and small, seven days, in the court of the
garden of

the {king's} palace;

king's But the queen Vashti refused to come at the

{king's} commandment by [his] chamberlains: therefore was the
king

very wroth, and his anger burned in him.

king's Then the king said to the wise men, which knew
the

times, (for so [was] the {king's} manner toward all that knew law

and judgment:

king's And the next unto him [was] Carshena, Shethar,

Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, [and] Memucan, the seven
princes

of Persia and Media, which saw the {king's} face, [and] which sat

the first in the kingdom;)

king's Likewise] shall the ladies of Persia and Media
say

this day unto all the {king's} princes, which have heard of the
deed

of the queen. Thus [shall there arise] too much contempt and
wrath.

king's And when the {king's} decree which he shall
make

shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,)
all

the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and

small.

king's For he sent letters into all the {king's}

provinces, into every province according to the writing thereof,
and

to every people after their language, that every man should bear

rule in his own house, and that [it] should be published acco

rding to the language of every people.

king's Then said the {king's} servants that ministered

unto him, Let there be fair young virgins sought for the king:

king's And let the king appoint officers in all the

provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the
fair

young virgins unto Shushan the palace, to the house of the women,

unto the custody of Hege the {king's} chamberlain, keeper

of the women; and let their things for purification be given
[them]:

king's So it came to pass, when the {king's}
commandment

and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered

together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that

Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody

of Hegai, keeper of the women.

king's So it came to pass, when the king's commandment
and

his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered
together

unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was

brought also unto the {king's} house, to the custody

of Hegai, keeper of the women.

king's And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained

kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for

purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven

maidens, [which were] meet to be given her, out of the {king's}

house: and

he preferred her and her maids unto the best [place] of the
house of

the women.

king's Then thus came [every] maiden unto the king;

whatsoever she desired was given her to go with her out of the
house

of the women unto the {king's} house.

king's In the evening she went, and on the morrow she

returned into the second house of the women, to the custody of

Shaashgaz, the {king's} chamberlain, which kept the concubines:
she

came in unto the king no more, except the king delighted in

her, and that she were called by name.

king's Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of

Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his
daughter,

was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what
Hegai

the {king's} chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appoi

nted. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that

looked upon her.

king's And when the virgins were gathered together the

second time, then Mordecai sat in the {king's} gate.

king's In those days, while Mordecai sat in the
{king's}

gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of
those

which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the
king

Ahasuerus.

king's In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's

gate, two of the {king's} chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of
those

which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the
king

Ahasuerus.

king's And all the {king's} servants, that [were] in
the

king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so

commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did [him]

reverence.

king's And all the king's servants, that [were] in the

{king's} gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so

commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did [him]

reverence.

king's Then the {king's} servants, which [were] in the

king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the
king's

commandment?

king's Then the king's servants, which [were] in the

{king's} gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the
king's

commandment?

king's Then the king's servants, which [were] in the

king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the
{king's}

commandment?

king's And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a

certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in

all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws [are] diverse
from

all people; neither keep they the king's laws: therefore

it [is] not for the {king's} profit to suffer them.

king's And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a

certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in

all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws [are] diverse
from

all people; neither keep they the {king's} laws: therefor

e it [is] not for the king's profit to suffer them.

king's If it please the king, let it be written that
they

may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver
to

the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring

[it] into the {king's} treasuries.

king's Then were the {king's} scribes called on the

thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written
according

to all that Haman had commanded unto the king's lieutenants, and
to

the governors that [were] over every province, and to the

rulers of every people of every province according to the
writing

thereof, and [to] every people after their language; in the name
of

king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king's ring.

king's Then were the king's scribes called on the

thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written
according

to all that Haman had commanded unto the {king's} lieutenants,
and

to the governors that [were] over every province, and to the

rulers of every people of every province according to the
writing

thereof, and [to] every people after their language; in the name
of

king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king's ring.

king's Then were the king's scribes called on the

thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written
according

to all that Haman had commanded unto the king's lieutenants, and
to

the governors that [were] over every province, and to the r

ulers of every people of every province according to the writing

thereof, and [to] every people after their language; in the name
of

king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the {king's} ring.

king's And the letters were sent by posts into all the

{king's} provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish,
all

Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day,

[even] upon the thirteenth [day] of the twelfth month,

which is the month Adar, and [to take] the spoil of them for a
prey.

king's The posts went out, being hastened by the
{king's}

commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And
the

king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was

perplexed.

king's And came even before the {king's} gate: for none

[might] enter into the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.

king's And came even before the king's gate: for none

[might] enter into the {king's} gate clothed with sackcloth.

king's And in every province, whithersoever the
{king's}

commandment and his decree came, [there was] great mourning among

the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in

sackcloth and ashes.

king's Then called Esther for Hatach, [one] of the

{king's} chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her,
and

gave him a commandment to Mordecai, to know what it [was], and
why

it [was].

king's So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the
street of

the city, which [was] before the {king's} gate.

king's And Mordecai told him of all that had happened
unto

him, and of the sum of the money that Haman had promised to pay
to

the {king's} treasuries for the Jews, to destroy them.

king's All the king's servants, and the people of the

{king's} provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or
woman,

shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called,

[there is] one law of his to put [him] to death, except s

uch to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he
may

live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these

thirty days.

king's All the {king's} servants, and the people of
the

king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman,

shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called,

[there is] one law of his to put [him] to death, except s

uch to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he
may

live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these

thirty days.

king's Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think

not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the {king's} house,
more

than all the Jews.

king's Now it came to pass on the third day, that
Esther

put on [her] royal [apparel], and stood in the inner court of the

{king's} house, over against the king's house: and the king sat
upon

his royal throne in the royal house, over against the

gate of the house.

king's Now it came to pass on the third day, that
Esther

put on [her] royal [apparel], and stood in the inner court of the

king's house, over against the {king's} house: and the king sat
upon

his royal throne in the royal house, over against the

gate of the house.

king's Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a

glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the {king's} gate,
that

he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation

against Mordecai.

king's Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I
see

Mordecai the Jew sitting at the {king's} gate.

king's And it was found written, that Mordecai had
told of

Bigthana and Teresh, two of the {king's} chamberlains, the
keepers

of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.

king's And the king said, What honour and dignity hath

been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the {king's} servants
that

ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.

king's And the king said, Who [is] in the court? Now
Haman

was come into the outward court of the {king's} house, to speak
unto

the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for

him.

king's And the {king's} servants said unto him, Behold,

Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.

king's And let this apparel and horse be delivered to
the

hand of one of the {king's} most noble princes, that they may
array

the man [withal] whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring
him

on horseback through the street of the city, and pro

claim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king

delighteth to honour.

king's Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, [and]

take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even
so to

Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the {king's} gate: let nothing

fail of all that thou hast spoken.

king's And Mordecai came again to the {king's} gate.
But

Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.

king's And while they [were] yet talking with him,
came

the {king's} chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the

banquet that Esther had prepared.

king's For we are sold, I and my people, to be
destroyed,

to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen
and

bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not

countervail the {king's} damage.

king's Then the king returned out of the palace garden

into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon
the

bed whereon Esther [was]. Then said the king, Will he force the

queen also before me in the house? As the word went out o

f the {king's} mouth, they covered Haman's face.

king's So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had

prepared for Mordecai. Then was the {king's} wrath pacified.

king's And said, If it please the king, and if I have

found favour in his sight, and the thing [seem] right before the

king, and I [be] pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to
reverse

the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Aga

gite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which [are] in all the

{king's} provinces:

king's Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in

the king's name, and seal [it] with the {king's} ring: for the

writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the

king's ring, may no man reverse.

king's Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in

the {king's} name, and seal [it] with the king's ring: for the

writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the

king's ring, may no man reverse.

king's Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in

the king's name, and seal [it] with the king's ring: for the
writing

which is written in the {king's} name, and sealed with the king's

ring, may no man reverse.

king's Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in

the king's name, and seal [it] with the king's ring: for the
writing

which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the {king's}

ring, may no man reverse.

king's Then were the {king's} scribes called at that
time

in the third month, that [is], the month Sivan, on the three and

twentieth [day] thereof; and it was written according to all that

Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants

, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which [are] from

India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto

every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every

people after their language, and to the Jews according to thei

r writing, and according to their language.

king's And he wrote in the king Ahasuerus' name, and

sealed [it] with the {king's} ring, and sent letters by posts on

horseback, [and] riders on mules, camels, [and] young
dromedaries:

king's So] the posts that rode upon mules [and] camels

went out, being hastened and pressed on by the {king's}
commandment.

And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.

king's And in every province, and in every city,

whithersoever the {king's} commandment and his decree came, the
Jews

had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the
people

of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell up

on them.

king's Now in the twelfth month, that [is], the month

Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the {king's}

commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in
the

day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them,

(though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule
over

them that hated them;)

king's For Mordecai [was] great in the {king's} house,
and

his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man

Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

king's And the king said unto Esther the queen, The
Jews

have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace,
and

the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the

{king's} provinces? now what [is] thy petition? and it s

hall be granted thee: or what [is] thy request further? and it
shall

be done.

king's But the other Jews that [were] in the {king's}

provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their
lives,

and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy
and

five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the pre

y,

king's Thine arrows [are] sharp in the heart of the

{king's} enemies; [whereby] the people fall under thee.

king's The {king's} daughter [is] all glorious
within:

her clothing [is] of wrought gold.

king's With gladness and rejoicing shall they be

brought: they shall enter into the {king's} palace.

king's Thou wilt prolong the {king's} life: [and] his

years as many generations.

king's A Psalm] for Solomon. Give the king thy
judgments,

O God, and thy righteousness unto the {king's} son.

king's The {king's} strength also loveth judgment;
thou

dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness
in

Jacob.

king's In the multitude of people [is] the {king's}

honour: but in the want of people [is] the destruction of the

prince.

king's The {king's} favour [is] toward a wise
servant:

but his wrath is [against] him that causeth shame.

king's In the light of the {king's} countenance [is]

life; and his favour [is] as a cloud of the latter rain.

king's The {king's} wrath [is] as the roaring of a
lion;

but his favour [is] as dew upon the grass.

king's The {king's} heart [is] in the hand of the
LORD,

[as] the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

king's I [counsel thee] to keep the {king's}
commandment,

and [that] in regard of the oath of God.

king's But they held their peace, and answered him
not a

word: for the {king's} commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

king's For thus saith the LORD unto the {king's}
house of

Judah; Thou [art] Gilead unto me, [and] the head of Lebanon:
[yet]

surely I will make thee a wilderness, [and] cities [which] are
not

inhabited.

king's When the princes of Judah heard these things,

then they came up from the {king's} house unto the house of the

LORD, and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the LORD'S

[house].

king's Then he went down into the {king's} house,
into

the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, [even]

Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and
Elnathan

the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and

Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

king's Now when Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, one of the

eunuchs which was in the {king's} house, heard that they had put

Jeremiah in the dungeon; the king then sitting in the gate of

Benjamin;

king's Ebedmelech went forth out of the {king's}
house,

and spake to the king, saying,

king's And it came to pass, [that] when Zedekiah the
king

of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, then they fled, and
went

forth out of the city by night, by the way of the {king's}
garden,

by the gate betwixt the two walls: and he went out

the way of the plain.

king's And the Chaldeans burned the {king's} house,
and

the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of

Jerusalem.

king's Then Ishmael carried away captive all the
residue

of the people that [were] in Mizpah, [even] the {king's}
daughters,

and all the people that remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the

captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the so

n of Ahikam: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away

captive, and departed to go over to the Ammonites.

king's Even] men, and women, and children, and the

{king's} daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the
captain of

the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of

Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neria

h.

king's Then the city was broken up, and all the men of

war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of
the

gate between the two walls, which [was] by the {king's} garden;
(now

the Chaldeans [were] by the city round about:) and t

hey went by the way of the plain.

king's And burned the house of the LORD, and the

{king's} house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the
houses

of the great [men], burned he with fire:

king's He took also out of the city an eunuch, which
had

the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were
near

the {king's} person, which were found in the city; and the
principal

scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the

land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were
found

in the midst of the city.

king's And hath taken of the {king's} seed, and made
a

covenant with him, and hath taken an oath of him: he hath also
taken

the mighty of the land:

king's And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of
his

eunuchs, that he should bring [certain] of the children of
Israel,

and of the {king's} seed, and of the princes;

king's Children in whom [was] no blemish, but well

favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge,
and

understanding science, and such as [had] ability in them to
stand in

the {king's} palace, and whom they might teach the learnin

g and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

king's And the king appointed them a daily provision of

the {king's} meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing

them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before

the king.

king's But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would
not

defile himself with the portion of the {king's} meat, nor with
the

wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the

eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

king's Then let our countenances be looked upon before

thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the
portion of

the {king's} meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants.

king's And at the end of ten days their countenances

appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which
did

eat the portion of the {king's} meat.

king's The Chaldeans answered before the king, and
said,

There is not a man upon the earth that can show the {king's}
matter:

therefore [there is] no king, lord, nor ruler, [that] asked such

things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.

king's Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to

Arioch the captain of the {king's} guard, which was gone forth to

slay the wise [men] of Babylon:

king's He answered and said to Arioch the {king's}

captain, Why [is] the decree [so] hasty from the king? Then
Arioch

made the thing known to Daniel.

king's I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my

fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known

unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast [now] made
known

unto us the {king's} matter.

king's Therefore because the {king's} commandment was

urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew

those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

king's And the princes, governors, and captains, and
the

{king's} counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men,
upon

whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head

singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smel

l of fire had passed on them.

king's Then] Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed
[be]

the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his
angel,

and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed
the

{king's} word, and yielded their bodies, that th

ey might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

king's While the word [was] in the {king's} mouth,
there

fell a voice from heaven, [saying], O king Nebuchadnezzar, to
thee

it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.

king's In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's

hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaster of
the

wall of the {king's} palace: and the king saw the part of the
hand

that wrote.

king's Then the {king's} countenance was changed, and
his

thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were
loosed,

and his knees smote one against another.

king's Then came in all the {king's} wise [men]: but
they

could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the

interpretation thereof.

king's Then they came near, and spake before the king

concerning the {king's} decree; Hast thou not signed a decree,
that

every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God or man within

thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the d

en of lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true,

according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth
not.

king's And I Daniel fainted, and was sick [certain]
days;

afterward I rose up, and did the {king's} business; and I was

astonished at the vision, but none understood [it].

king's And in the end of years they shall join
themselves

together; for the {king's} daughter of the south shall come to
the

king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain
the

power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his

arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he

that begat her, and he that strengthened her in [these] times.

king's Thus hath the Lord GOD showed unto me; and,
behold,

he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the

latter growth; and, lo, [it was] the latter growth after the

{king's} mowings.

king's But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for
it

[is] the {king's} chapel, and it [is] the king's court.

king's But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for
it

[is] the king's chapel, and it [is] the {king's} court.

king's And it shall come to pass in the day of the
LORD'S

sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the {king's}

children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

king's All the land shall be turned as a plain from
Geba

to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and

inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of
the

first gate, unto the corner gate, and [from] the tower of

Hananeel unto the {king's} winepresses.

king's And Herod was highly displeased with them of
Tyre

and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made

Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace;
because

their country was nourished by the {king's} country]

king's And Herod was highly displeased with them of
Tyre

and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made

Blastus the {king's} chamberlain their friend, desired peace;

.

king's By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid
three

months of his parents, because they saw he was] a proper child;
and

they were not afraid of the {king's} commandment.
