joab's <2SA14 -30> Therefore he said unto his servants, See,
{Joab's} field is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and
set it
on fire. And Absalom's servants set the field on fire.
joab's <2SA17 -25> And Absalom made Amasa captain of the host
instead of Joab: which Amasa [was] a man's son, whose name [was]
Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of
Nahash,
sister to Zeruiah {Joab's} mother.
joab's <2SA18 -2> And David sent forth a third part of the people
under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of
Abishai
the son of Zeruiah, {Joab's} brother, and a third part under the
hand of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said unto the peo
ple, I will surely go forth with you myself also.
joab's <2SA18 -15> And ten young men that bare {Joab's} armour
compassed about and smote Absalom, and slew him.
joab's <2SA20 -7> And there went out after him {Joab's} men, and
the
Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and all the mighty men: and they
went out of Jerusalem, to pursue after Sheba the son of Bichri.
joab's <2SA20 -8> When they [were] at the great stone which [is]
in
Gibeon, Amasa went before them. And {Joab's} garment that he had
put
on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle [with] a sword
fastened
upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he w
ent forth it fell out.
joab's <2SA20 -10> But Amasa took no heed to the sword that
[was] in
{Joab's} hand: so he smote him therewith in the fifth [rib], and
shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and
he
died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after S
heba the son of Bichri.
joab's <2SA20 -11> And one of {Joab's} men stood by him, and
said,
He that favoureth Joab, and he that [is] for David, [let him go]
after Joab.
