decree <2CH30 -5> So they established a {decree} to make
proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan,
that
they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of
Israel at
Jerusalem: for they had not done [it] of a long [time in suc
h sort] as it was written.
decree But in the first year of Cyrus the king of
Babylon
[the same] king Cyrus made a {decree} to build this house of God.
decree Now therefore, if [it seem] good to the king,
let
there be search made in the king's treasure house, which [is]
there
at Babylon, whether it be [so], that a {decree} was made of Cyrus
the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and
let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
decree Then Darius the king made a {decree}, and search
was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were
laid up
in Babylon.
decree In the first year of Cyrus the king [the same]
Cyrus the king made a {decree} [concerning] the house of God at
Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered
sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid;
the height thereof threescore cubits, [and] the breadth thereof
threescore cubits;
decree Moreover I make a {decree} what ye shall do to
the
elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that
of
the king's goods, [even] of the tribute beyond the river,
forthwith
expenses be given unto these men, that they be not
hindered.
decree Also I have made a {decree}, that whosoever
shall
alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and
being
set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a
dunghill for this.
decree And the God that hath caused his name to dwell
there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand
to
alter [and] to destroy this house of God which [is] at Jerusalem.
I
Darius have made a {decree}; let it be done with speed
.
decree I make a {decree}, that all they of the people
of
Israel, and [of] his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are
minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.
decree And I, [even] I Artaxerxes the king, do make a
{decree} to all the treasurers which [are] beyond the river, that
whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of
heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
decree And when the king's {decree} which he shall
make
shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,)
all
the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and
small.
decree So it came to pass, when the king's commandment
and
his {decree} was heard, and when many maidens were gathered
together
unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was
brought also unto the king's house, to the custody
of Hegai, keeper of the women.
decree The posts went out, being hastened by the
king's
commandment, and the {decree} was given in Shushan the palace.
And
the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was
perplexed.
decree And in every province, whithersoever the king's
commandment and his {decree} came, [there was] great mourning
among
the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in
sackcloth and ashes.
decree Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the
{decree} that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to show [it]
unto Esther, and to declare [it] unto her, and to charge her that
she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto h
im, and to make request before him for her people.
decree So] the posts that rode upon mules [and] camels
went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king's
commandment.
And the {decree} was given at Shushan the palace.
decree And in every province, and in every city,
whithersoever the king's commandment and his {decree} came, the
Jews
had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the
people
of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell up
on them.
decree Now in the twelfth month, that [is], the month
Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's
commandment
and his {decree} drew near to be put in execution, in the day
that
the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them,
(though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule
over
them that hated them;)
decree Then said Esther, If it please the king, let
it be
granted to the Jews which [are] in Shushan to do to morrow also
according unto this day's {decree}, and let Haman's ten sons be
hanged upon the gallows.
decree And the king commanded it so to be done: and
the
{decree} was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.
decree And the {decree} of Esther confirmed these
matters
of Purim; and it was written in the book.
decree Thou shalt also {decree} a thing, and it
shall be
established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
decree When he made a {decree} for the rain, and a
way
for the lightning of the thunder:
decree I will declare the {decree}: the LORD hath said
unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
decree He hath also stablished them for ever and
ever:
he hath made a {decree} which shall not pass.
decree By me kings reign, and princes {decree}
justice.
decree When he gave to the sea his {decree}, that the
waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the
foundations of the earth:
decree Woe unto them that {decree} unrighteous
decrees,
and that write grievousness [which] they have prescribed;
decree Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not
tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand [for] the
bound
of the sea by a perpetual {decree}, that it cannot pass it: and
though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not pre
vail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
decree But if ye will not make known unto me the dream,
[there is but] one {decree} for you: for ye have prepared lying
and
corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed:
therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can sho
w me the interpretation thereof.
decree And the {decree} went forth that the wise [men]
should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be
slain.
decree He answered and said to Arioch the king's
captain,
Why [is] the {decree} [so] hasty from the king? Then Arioch made
the
thing known to Daniel.
decree Thou, O king, hast made a {decree}, that every
man
that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut,
psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, shall fall down
and
worship the golden image:
decree Therefore I make a {decree}, That every people,
nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the
God of
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and
their
houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no
other God that can deliver after this sort.
decree Therefore made I a {decree} to bring in all the
wise [men] of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto
me
the interpretation of the dream.
decree This matter [is] by the {decree} of the
watchers,
and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that
the
living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men,
and
giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up ov
er it the basest of men.
decree This [is] the interpretation, O king, and this
[is] the {decree} of the most High, which is come upon my lord
the
king:
decree All the presidents of the kingdom, the
governors,
and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have
consulted
together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm
{decree},
that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man
for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the
den of lions.
decree Now, O king, establish the {decree}, and sign
the
writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the
Medes
and Persians, which altereth not.
decree Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the
{decree}.
decree Then they came near, and spake before the king
concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a {decree},
that
every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God or man within
thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the d
en of lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true,
according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth
not.
decree Then they came near, and spake before the king
concerning the king's {decree}; Hast thou not signed a decree,
that
every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God or man within
thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the d
en of lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true,
according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth
not.
decree Then answered they and said before the king,
That
Daniel, which [is] of the children of the captivity of Judah,
regardeth not thee, O king, nor the {decree} that thou hast
signed,
but maketh his petition three times a day.
decree Then these men assembled unto the king, and
said
unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and
Persians
[is], That no {decree} nor statute which the king establisheth
may
be changed.
decree I make a {decree}, That in every dominion of my
kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he
[is]
the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom [that]
which
shall not be destroyed, and his dominion [shall be eve
n] unto the end.
decree And he caused [it] to be proclaimed and
published
through Nineveh by the {decree} of the king and his nobles,
saying,
Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let
them
not feed, nor drink water:
decree In] the day that thy walls are to be built,
[in]
that day shall the {decree} be far removed.
decree Before the {decree} bring forth, [before] the
day
pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon
you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.
decree And it came to pass in those days, that there
went
out a {decree} from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be
taxed.
