avenger And they shall be unto you cities for refuge

from the {avenger}; that the manslayer die not, until he stand

before the congregation in judgment.

avenger Lest the {avenger} of the blood pursue the

slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the
way is

long, and slay him; whereas he [was] not worthy of death,
inasmuch

as he hated him not in time past.

avenger Then the elders of his city shall send and
fetch

him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the {avenger} of
blood,

that he may die.

avenger That the slayer that killeth [any] person

unawares [and] unwittingly may flee thither: and they shall be
your

refuge from the {avenger} of blood.

avenger And if the {avenger} of blood pursue after
him,

then they shall not deliver the slayer up into his hand; because
he

smote his neighbour unwittingly, and hated him not beforetime.

avenger These were the cities appointed for all the

children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among
them,

that whosoever killeth [any] person at unawares might flee
thither,

and not die by the hand of the {avenger} of blood, unti

l he stood before the congregation.

avenger Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast
thou

ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest
still

the enemy and the {avenger}.

avenger For the voice of him that reproacheth and

blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and {avenger}.

avenger <1TH4 -6> That no man] go beyond and defraud his brother
in

any] matter: because that the Lord is] the {avenger} of all such,
as

we also have forewarned you and testified.
