out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this
city {Jerusalem} which I have chosen, and the house of which I
said,
My name shall be there.

because they had transgressed against the LORD,

and
[to] the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to
{Jerusalem} because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith
the
LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you
in the hand of Shishak.

jerusalem <JER17 -25> Then shall there enter into the gates of
this
city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding
in
chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of
Judah,
and the inhabitants of {Jerusalem}: and this city sha
ll remain for ever.

Judah,
and from the places about {Jerusalem}, and from the land of
Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from
the
south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat of

sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek

of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet,
because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned
incense
unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink
offerings unto other gods.
jerusalem <JER22 -19> He shall be buried with the burial of an
ass,
drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <JER23 -14> I have seen also in the prophets of
{Jerusalem} an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in
lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth
return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as
Sodom,
and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
jerusalem <JER23 -15> Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts
concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood,
and
make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of
{Jerusalem} is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

baskets of
figs [were] set before the temple of the LORD, after that
Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah
the
son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, w
ith the carpenters and smiths, from {Jerusalem}, and had brought
them to Babylon.
jerusalem <JER24 -8> And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten,
they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give
Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of
{Jerusalem}, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in th
e land of Egypt:

we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the

we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

LORD remember them, and came it [not] into his mind?

they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of

what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of {Jerusalem}? what
shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin
daughter of
Zion? for thy breach [is] great like the sea: who can
heal thee?
jerusalem <LAM2 -15> All that pass by clap [their] hands at thee;
they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of {Jerusalem},
[saying, Is] this the city that [men] call The perfection of
beauty,
The joy of the whole earth?
jerusalem <LAM4 -12> The kings of the earth, and all the
inhabitants
of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the
enemy should have entered into the gates of {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <EZE4 -1> Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and
lay
it before thee, and portray upon it the city, [even] {Jerusalem}:
jerusalem <EZE4 -7> Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the
siege of {Jerusalem}, and thine arm [shall be] uncovered, and
thou
shalt prophesy against it.
jerusalem <EZE4 -16> Moreover he said unto me, Son of man,
behold, I
will break the staff of bread in {Jerusalem}: and they shall eat
bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by
measure, and with astonishment:

I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries [that
are]
round about her.

me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between

earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to
{Jerusalem}, to the door of the inner gate that looketh tow
ard the north; where [was] the seat of the image of jealousy,
which
provoketh to jealousy.
jerusalem <EZE9 -4> And the LORD said unto him, Go through the
midst
of the city, through the midst of {Jerusalem}, and set a mark
upon
the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the
abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and
said,
Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy
pouring out of thy fury upon {Jerusalem}?

brethren,
the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel wholly, [are]
they unto whom the inhabitants of {Jerusalem} have said, Get you
far
from the LORD: unto us is this land given in posses
sion.

GOD;
This burden [concerneth] the prince in {Jerusalem}, and all the
house of Israel that [are] among them.
jerusalem <EZE12 -19> And say unto the people of the land, Thus
saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of {Jerusalem}, [and] of
the
land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and
drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be d
esolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all
them that dwell therein.
jerusalem <EZE13 -16> To wit], the prophets of Israel which
prophesy
concerning {Jerusalem}, and which see visions of peace for her,
and
[there is] no peace, saith the Lord GOD.

when I send my four sore judgments upon {Jerusalem}, the sword,

not
what these [things mean]? tell [them], Behold, the king of
Babylon
is come to {Jerusalem}, and hath taken the king thereof, and the
princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon;
jerusalem <EZE21 -2> Son of man, set thy face toward {Jerusalem},
and drop [thy word] toward the holy places, and prophesy against
the
land of Israel,
jerusalem <EZE21 -20> Appoint a way, that the sword may come to
Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in {Jerusalem} the
defenced.
jerusalem <EZE21 -22> At his right hand was the divination for
{Jerusalem}, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the
slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint
[battering] rams against the gates, to cast a mount, [and] to
build
a fort.
jerusalem <EZE22 -19> Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because
ye
are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into
the
midst of {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <EZE23 -4> And the names of them [were] Aholah the
elder,
and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons
and
daughters. Thus [were] their names; Samaria [is] Aholah, and
{Jerusalem} Aholibah.
jerusalem <EZE24 -2> Son of man, write thee the name of the day,
[even] of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against
{Jerusalem} this same day.
jerusalem <EZE26 -2> Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said
against {Jerusalem}, Aha, she is broken [that was] the gates of
the
people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, [now] she
is
laid waste:

our
captivity, in the tenth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month,
[that] one that had escaped out of {Jerusalem} came unto me,

The city is smitten.

signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his
chamber toward {Jerusalem}, he kneeled upon his knees three
times a
day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did
aforetime.

understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of
the
LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish
seventy
years in the desolations of {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <DAN9 -7> O Lord, righteousness [belongeth] unto thee,
but
unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah,
and
to the inhabitants of {Jerusalem}, and unto all Israel, [that
are]
near, and [that are] far off, through all the coun
tries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass
that
they have trespassed against thee.

that time there was a great persecution against the church which

regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto

Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the
Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come

jerusalem <ACT9 -2> And desired of him letters to Damascus to the
synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were
men
or women, he might bring them bound unto {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <ACT9 -13> Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by
many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at
{Jerusalem}:
jerusalem <ACT9 -21> But all that heard him] were amazed, and
said;
Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in
{Jerusalem}, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring
them bound unto the chief priests?
jerusalem <ACT9 -26> And when Saul was come to {Jerusalem}, he
assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all
afraid
of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.
jerusalem <ACT9 -28> And he was with them coming in and going
out at
{Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <ACT10 -39> And we are witnesses of all things which he
did both in the land of the Jews, and in {Jerusalem}; whom they
slew
and hanged on a tree:
jerusalem <ACT11 -2> And when Peter was come up to {Jerusalem},
they
that were of the circumcision contended with him,
jerusalem <ACT11 -22> Then tidings of these things came unto the
ears of the church which was in {Jerusalem}: and they sent forth
Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
jerusalem <ACT11 -27> And in these days came prophets from
{Jerusalem} unto Antioch.
jerusalem <ACT12 -25> And Barnabas and Saul returned from
{Jerusalem}, when they had fulfilled their] ministry, and took
with
them John, whose surname was Mark.
jerusalem <ACT13 -13> Now when Paul and his company loosed from
Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from
them returned to {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <ACT13 -27> For they that dwell at {Jerusalem}, and
their
rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the
prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled
them]
in condemning him].
jerusalem <ACT13 -31> And he was seen many days of them which
came
up with him from Galilee to {Jerusalem}, who are his witnesses
unto
the people.
jerusalem <ACT15 -2> When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no
small
dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul
and
Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to {Jerusalem}
unto the apostles and elders about this question.
jerusalem <ACT15 -4> And when they were come to {Jerusalem}, they
were received of the church, and of] the apostles and elders, and
they declared all things that God had done with them.

delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the

again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia,
to
go to {Jerusalem}, saying, After I have been there, I must also
see
Rome.
jerusalem <ACT20 -16> For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus,
because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it
were possible for him, to be at {Jerusalem} the day of Pentecost.
jerusalem <ACT20 -22> And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit
unto
{Jerusalem}, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
jerusalem <ACT21 -4> And finding disciples, we tarried there
seven
days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go
up
to {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <ACT21 -11> And when he was come unto us, he took
Paul's
girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith
the
Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at {Jerusalem} bind the man that
owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him] into the hands
of the Gentiles.
jerusalem <ACT21 -12> And when we heard these things, both we,
and
they of that place, besought him not to go up to {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <ACT21 -13> Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep
and
to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but
also
to die at {Jerusalem} for the name of the Lord Jesus.
jerusalem <ACT21 -15> And after those days we took up our
carriages,
and went up to {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <ACT21 -17> And when we were come to {Jerusalem}, the
brethren received us gladly.
jerusalem <ACT21 -31> And as they went about to kill him, tidings
came unto the chief captain of the band, that all {Jerusalem}
was in
an uproar.
jerusalem <ACT22 -5> As also the high priest doth bear me
witness,
and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received
letters
unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were
there bound unto {Jerusalem}, for to be punished.
jerusalem <ACT22 -17> And it came to pass, that, when I was come
again to {Jerusalem}, even while I prayed in the temple, I was
in a
trance;
jerusalem <ACT22 -18> And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and
get thee quickly out of {Jerusalem}: for they will not receive
thy
testimony concerning me.
jerusalem <ACT23 -11> And the night following the Lord stood by
him,
and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of
me
in {Jerusalem}, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.
jerusalem <ACT24 -11> Because that thou mayest understand, that
there are yet but twelve days since I went up to {Jerusalem} for
to
worship.
jerusalem <ACT25 -1> Now when Festus was come into the province,
after three days he ascended from Caesarea to {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <ACT25 -3> And desired favour against him, that he
would
send for him to {Jerusalem}, laying wait in the way to kill him.
jerusalem <ACT25 -7> And when he was come, the Jews which came
down
from {Jerusalem} stood round about, and laid many and grievous
complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.
jerusalem <ACT25 -9> But Festus, willing to do the Jews a
pleasure,
answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to {Jerusalem}, and
there
be judged of these things before me?
jerusalem <ACT25 -15> About whom, when I was at {Jerusalem}, the
chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me], desiring
to
have] judgment against him.
jerusalem <ACT25 -20> And because I doubted of such manner of
questions, I asked him] whether he would go to {Jerusalem}, and
there be judged of these matters.
jerusalem <ACT25 -24> And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men
which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all
the
multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at {Jerusalem},
and
also] here, crying that he ought not to live any longer
.
jerusalem <ACT26 -4> My manner of life from my youth, which was
at
the first among mine own nation at {Jerusalem}, know all the
Jews;
jerusalem <ACT26 -10> Which thing I also did in {Jerusalem}: and
many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received
authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to
death, I
gave my voice against them].
jerusalem <ACT26 -20> But showed first unto them of Damascus,
and at
{Jerusalem}, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then]
to
the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do
works
meet for repentance.
jerusalem <ACT28 -17> And it came to pass, that after three days
Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were
come
together, he said unto them, Men and] brethren, though I have
committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fath
ers, yet was I delivered prisoner from {Jerusalem} into the
hands of
the Romans.
jerusalem <ROM15 -19> Through mighty signs and wonders, by the
power
of the Spirit of God; so that from {Jerusalem}, and round about
unto
Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
jerusalem <ROM15 -25> But now I go unto {Jerusalem} to minister
unto
the saints.
jerusalem <ROM15 -26> For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and
Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which
are
at {Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <ROM15 -31> That I may be delivered from them that do
not
believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have] for
{Jerusalem}
may be accepted of the saints;
jerusalem <1CO16 -3> And when I come, whomsoever ye shall
approve by
your] letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto
{Jerusalem}.
jerusalem <GAL1 -17> Neither went I up to {Jerusalem} to them
which
were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned
again
unto Damascus.

to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

is the mother of us all.

city of the living God, the heavenly {Jerusalem}, and to an
innumerable company of angels,

great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy
