jehu <1KI16 -1> Then the word of the LORD came to {Jehu} the son

of

Hanani against Baasha, saying,

jehu <1KI16 -7> And also by the hand of the prophet {Jehu} the

son

of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against

his

house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the

LORD,

in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands,

in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.

j

ehu <1KI16 -12> Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha,

according to the word of the LORD, which he spake against Baasha

by

{Jehu} the prophet,

jehu <1KI19 -16> And {Jehu} the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint

[to

be] king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of

Abelmeholah

shalt thou anoint [to be] prophet in thy room.

jehu <1KI19 -17> And it shall come to pass, [that] him that

escapeth

the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from

the

sword of {Jehu} shall Elisha slay.

jehu <1KI19 -17> And it shall come to pass, [that] him that

escapeth

the sword of Hazael shall {Jehu} slay: and him that escapeth from

the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

jehu <2KI9 -2> And when thou comest thither, look out there

{Jehu}

the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him

arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner

chamber;

jehu <2KI9 -5> And when he came, behold, the captains of the host

[were] sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain.

And {Jehu} said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O

captain.

jehu <2KI9 -11> Then {Jehu} came forth to the servants of his

lord:

and [one] said unto him, [Is] all well? wherefore came this mad

[fellow] to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his

communication.

jehu <2KI9 -13> Then they hasted, and took every man his garment,

and put [it] under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with

trumpets, saying, {Jehu} is king.

jehu <2KI9 -14> So {Jehu} the son of Jehoshaphat the son of

Nimshi

conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and

all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

jehu <2KI9 -15> But king Joram was returned to be healed in

Jezreel

of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought

with

Hazael king of Syria.) And {Jehu} said, If it be your minds,

[then]

let none go forth [nor] escape out of the city to go

 to tell [it] in Jezreel.

j

ehu <2KI9 -16> So {Jehu} rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel;

for

Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see

Joram.

jehu <2KI9 -17> And there stood a watchman on the tower in

Jezreel,

and he spied the company of {Jehu} as he came, and said, I see a

company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them,

and let him say, [Is it] peace?

jehu <2KI9 -18> So there went one on horseback to meet him, and

said, Thus saith the king, [Is it] peace? And {Jehu} said, What

hast

thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman

told,

saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not a

gain.

jehu <2KI9 -19> Then he sent out a second on horseback, which

came

to them, and said, Thus saith the king, [Is it] peace? And {Jehu}

answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

jehu <2KI9 -20> And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto

them, and cometh not again: and the driving [is] like the

driving of

{Jehu} the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

jehu <2KI9 -21> And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was

made

ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went

out,

each in his chariot, and they went out against {Jehu}, and met

him

in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

jehu <2KI9 -22> And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he

said, [Is it] peace, {Jehu}? And he answered, What peace, so

long as

the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts [are so]

many?

jehu <2KI9 -22> And it came to pass, when Joram saw {Jehu}, that

he

said, [Is it] peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long

as

the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts [are so]

many?

jehu <2KI9 -24> And {Jehu} drew a bow with his full strength, and

smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his

heart,

and he sunk down in his chariot.

jehu <2KI9 -25> Then said [{Jehu}] to Bidkar his captain, Take

up,

[and] cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the

Jezreelite:

for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab

his

father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

jehu <2KI9 -27> But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw [this], he

fled by the way of the garden house. And {Jehu} followed after

him,

and said, Smite him also in the chariot. [And they did so] at the

going up to Gur, which [is] by Ibleam. And he fled to M

egiddo, and died there.

jehu <2KI9 -30> And when {Jehu} was come to Jezreel, Jezebel

heard

[of it]; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked

out at a window.

jehu <2KI9 -31> And as {Jehu} entered in at the gate, she said,

[Had] Zimri peace, who slew his master?

jehu <2KI10 -1> And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And {Jehu}

wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel,

to

the elders, and to them that brought up Ahab's [children],

saying,

jehu <2KI10 -5> And he that [was] over the house, and he that

[was]

over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up [of the

children], sent to {Jehu}, saying, We [are] thy servants, and

will

do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do

thou [that which is] good in thine eyes.

j

ehu <2KI10 -11> So {Jehu} slew all that remained of the house of

Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and

his

priests, until he left him none remaining.

jehu <2KI10 -13> {Jehu} met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of

Judah, and said, Who [are] ye? And they answered, We [are] the

brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the

king and the children of the queen.

jehu <2KI10 -18> And {Jehu} gathered all the people together, and

said unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; [but] Jehu shall serve

him much.

jehu <2KI10 -18> And Jehu gathered all the people together, and

said

unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; [but] {Jehu} shall serve

him

much.

jehu <2KI10 -19> Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of

Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting:

for I have a great sacrifice [to do] to Baal; whosoever shall be

wanting, he shall not live. But {Jehu} did [it] in subtlety,

to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.

j

ehu <2KI10 -20> And {Jehu} said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for

Baal. And they proclaimed [it].

jehu <2KI10 -21> And {Jehu} sent through all Israel: and all the

worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that

came

not. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal

was

full from one end to another.

jehu <2KI10 -23> And {Jehu} went, and Jehonadab the son of

Rechab,

into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal,

Search, and look that there be here with you none of the

servants of

the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.

jehu <2KI10 -24> And when they went in to offer sacrifices and

burnt

offerings, {Jehu} appointed fourscore men without, and said, [If]

any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, [he

that

letteth him go], his life [shall be] for the life of

 him.

j

ehu <2KI10 -25> And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an

end

of offering the burnt offering, that {Jehu} said to the guard

and to

the captains, Go in, [and] slay them; let none come forth. And

they

smote them with the edge of the sword; and the gua

rd and the captains cast [them] out, and went to the city of the

house of Baal.

jehu <2KI10 -28> Thus {Jehu} destroyed Baal out of Israel.

jehu <2KI10 -29> Howbeit [from] the sins of Jeroboam the son of

Nebat, who made Israel to sin, {Jehu} departed not from after

them,

[to wit], the golden calves that [were] in Bethel, and that

[were]

in Dan.

jehu <2KI10 -30> And the LORD said unto {Jehu}, Because thou hast

done well in executing [that which is] right in mine eyes, [and]

hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that [was] in

mine

heart, thy children of the fourth [generation] shall si

t on the throne of Israel.

jehu <2KI10 -31> But {Jehu} took no heed to walk in the law of

the

LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from

the

sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.

jehu <2KI10 -34> Now the rest of the acts of {Jehu}, and all

that he

did, and all his might, [are] they not written in the book of the

chronicles of the kings of Israel?

jehu <2KI10 -35> And {Jehu} slept with his fathers: and they

buried

him in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his stead.

jehu <2KI10 -36> And the time that {Jehu} reigned over Israel in

Samaria [was] twenty and eight years.

jehu <2KI12 -1> In the seventh year of {Jehu} Jehoash began to

reign; and forty years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother's

name [was] Zibiah of Beersheba.

jehu <2KI13 -1> In the three and twentieth year of Joash the son

of

Ahaziah king of Judah Jehoahaz the son of {Jehu} began to reign

over

Israel in Samaria, [and reigned] seventeen years.

jehu <2KI14 -8> Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son

of

Jehoahaz son of {Jehu}, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look

one another in the face.

jehu <2KI15 -12> This [was] the word of the LORD which he spake

unto

{Jehu}, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto

the

fourth [generation]. And so it came to pass.

jehu <1CH2 -38> And Obed begat {Jehu}, and Jehu begat Azariah,

jehu <1CH2 -38> And Obed begat Jehu, and {Jehu} begat Azariah,

jehu <1CH4 -35> And Joel, and {Jehu} the son of Josibiah, the

son of

Seraiah, the son of Asiel,

jehu <1CH12 -3> The chief [was] Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of

Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of

Azmaveth;

and Berachah, and {Jehu} the Antothite,

jehu <2CH19 -2> And {Jehu} the son of Hanani the seer went out to

meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the

ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore [is] wrath

upon

thee from before the LORD.

jehu <2CH20 -34> Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first

and

last, behold, they [are] written in the book of {Jehu} the son of

Hanani, who [is] mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.

jehu <2CH22 -7> And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by

coming

to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against

{Jehu} the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off

the

house of Ahab.

jehu <2CH22 -8> And it came to pass, that, when {Jehu} was

executing

judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah,

and

the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah,

he

slew them.

jehu <2CH22 -9> And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for

he

was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to {Jehu}: and when they had

slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he [is] the son

of

Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. S

o the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.

jehu <2CH25 -17> Then Amaziah king of Judah took advice, and

sent to

Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of {Jehu}, king of Israel,

saying, Come, let us see one another in the face.

jehu <HOS1 -4> And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel;

for yet a little [while], and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel

upon the house of {Jehu}, and will cause to cease the kingdom of

the

house of Israel.
