gibeah <JOS15 -57> Cain, {Gibeah}, and Timnah; ten cities with

their

villages:

gibeah <JUG19 -12> And his master said unto him, We will not turn

aside hither into the city of a stranger, that [is] not of the

children of Israel; we will pass over to {Gibeah}.

gibeah <JUG19 -13> And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us

draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in {Gibeah},

 or

in Ramah.

gibeah <JUG19 -14> And they passed on and went their way; and the

sun went down upon them [when they were] by {Gibeah}, which

[belongeth] to Benjamin.

gibeah <JUG19 -15> And they turned aside thither, to go in [and]

to

lodge in {Gibeah}: and when he went in, he sat him down in a

street

of the city: for [there was] no man that took them into his

house to

lodging.

gibeah <JUG19 -16> And, behold, there came an old man from his

work

out of the field at even, which [was] also of mount Ephraim; and

he

sojourned in {Gibeah}: but the men of the place [were]

Benjamites.

gibeah <JUG20 -4> And the Levite, the husband of the woman that

was

slain, answered and said, I came into {Gibeah} that [belongeth]

to

Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge.

gibeah <JUG20 -5> And the men of {Gibeah} rose against me, and

beset

the house round about upon me by night, [and] thought to have

slain

me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead.

gibeah <JUG20 -9> But now this [shall be] the thing which we

will do

to {Gibeah}; [we will go up] by lot against it;

gibeah <JUG20 -10> And we will take ten men of an hundred

throughout

all the tribes of Israel, and an hundred of a thousand, and a

thousand out of ten thousand, to fetch victual for the people,

that

they may do, when they come to {Gibeah} of Benjamin, acc

ording to all the folly that they have wrought in Israel.

gibeah <JUG20 -13> Now therefore deliver [us] the men, the

children

of Belial, which [are] in {Gibeah}, that we may put them to

death,

and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would

not hearken to the voice of their brethren the childre

n of Israel:

gibeah <JUG20 -14> But the children of Benjamin gathered

themselves

together out of the cities unto {Gibeah}, to go out to battle

against the children of Israel.

gibeah <JUG20 -15> And the children of Benjamin were numbered at

that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew

sword, beside the inhabitants of {Gibeah}, which were numbered

seven

hundred chosen men.

gibeah <JUG20 -19> And the children of Israel rose up in the

morning, and encamped against {Gibeah}.

gibeah <JUG20 -20> And the men of Israel went out to battle

against

Benjamin; and the men of Israel put themselves in array to fight

against them at {Gibeah}.

gibeah <JUG20 -21> And the children of Benjamin came forth out of

{Gibeah}, and destroyed down to the ground of the Israelites that

day twenty and two thousand men.

gibeah <JUG20 -25> And Benjamin went forth against them out of

{Gibeah} the second day, and destroyed down to the ground of the

children of Israel again eighteen thousand men; all these drew

the

sword.

gibeah <JUG20 -29> And Israel set liers in wait round about

{Gibeah}.

gibeah <JUG20 -30> And the children of Israel went up against the

children of Benjamin on the third day, and put themselves in

array

against {Gibeah}, as at other times.

gibeah <JUG20 -31> And the children of Benjamin went out against

the

people, [and] were drawn away from the city; and they began to

smite

of the people, [and] kill, as at other times, in the highways, of

which one goeth up to the house of God, and the oth

er to {Gibeah} in the field, about thirty men of Israel.

gibeah <JUG20 -33> And all the men of Israel rose up out of their

place, and put themselves in array at Baaltamar: and the liers in

wait of Israel came forth out of their places, [even] out of the

meadows of {Gibeah}.

gibeah <JUG20 -34> And there came against {Gibeah} ten thousand

chosen men out of all Israel, and the battle was sore: but they

knew

not that evil [was] near them.

gibeah <JUG20 -36> So the children of Benjamin saw that they were

smitten: for the men of Israel gave place to the Benjamites,

because

they trusted unto the liers in wait which they had set beside

{Gibeah}.

gibeah <JUG20 -37> And the liers in wait hasted, and rushed upon

{Gibeah}; and the liers in wait drew [themselves] along, and

smote

all the city with the edge of the sword.

gibeah <JUG20 -43> [Thus] they enclosed the Benjamites round

about,

[and] chased them, [and] trode them down with ease over against

{Gibeah} toward the sunrising.

gibeah <1SA10 -26> And Saul also went home to {Gibeah}; and there

went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.

gibeah <1SA11 -4> Then came the messengers to {Gibeah} of Saul,

and

told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people

lifted up their voices, and wept.

gibeah <1SA13 -2> Saul chose him three thousand [men] of Israel;

[whereof] two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount

Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in {Gibeah} of

Benjamin:

and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.

gibeah <1SA13 -15> And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal

unto

{Gibeah} of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people [that were]

present with him, about six hundred men.

gibeah <1SA13 -16> And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people

[that were] present with them, abode in {Gibeah} of Benjamin: but

the Philistines encamped in Michmash.

gibeah <1SA14 -2> And Saul tarried in the uttermost part of

{Gibeah}

under a pomegranate tree which [is] in Migron: and the people

that

[were] with him [were] about six hundred men;

gibeah <1SA14 -5> The forefront of the one [was] situate

northward

over against Michmash, and the other southward over against

{Gibeah}.

gibeah <1SA14 -16> And the watchmen of Saul in {Gibeah} of

Benjamin

looked; and, behold, the multitude melted away, and they went on

beating down [one another].

gibeah <1SA15 -34> Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to

his house to {Gibeah} of Saul.

gibeah <1SA22 -6> When Saul heard that David was discovered, and

the

men that [were] with him, (now Saul abode in {Gibeah} under a

tree

in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants

[were]

standing about him;)

gibeah <1SA23 -19> Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to {Gibeah},

saying, Doth not David hide himself with us in strong holds in

the

wood, in the hill of Hachilah, which [is] on the south of

Jeshimon?

gibeah <1SA26 -1> And the Ziphites came unto Saul to {Gibeah},

saying, Doth not David hide himself in the hill of Hachilah,

[which

is] before Jeshimon?

gibeah <2SA6 -3> And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and

brought it out of the house of Abinadab that [was] in {Gibeah}:

and

Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.

gibeah <2SA6 -4> And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab

which [was] at {Gibeah}, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio

went

before the ark.

gibeah <2SA21 -6> Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us,

and we will hang them up unto the LORD in {Gibeah} of Saul,

[whom]

the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give [them].

gibeah <2SA23 -29> Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai

the son of Ribai out of {Gibeah} of the children of Benjamin,

gibeah <1CH11 -31> Ithai the son of Ribai of {Gibeah}, [that

pertained] to the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,

gibeah <2CH13 -2> He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His

mother's

name also [was] Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of {Gibeah}. And

there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

gibeah <ISA10 -29> They are gone over the passage: they have

taken

up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; {Gibeah} of Saul is

fled.

gibeah <HOS5 -8> Blow ye the cornet in {Gibeah}, [and] the

trumpet

in Ramah: cry aloud [at] Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin.

gibeah <HOS9 -9> They have deeply corrupted [themselves], as in

the

days of {Gibeah}: [therefore] he will remember their iniquity, he

will visit their sins.

gibeah <HOS10 -9> O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of

Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in {Gibeah} against the

children of iniquity did not overtake them.

gibeah <HOS10 -9> O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of

{Gibeah}: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the

children of iniquity did not overtake them.
