decree <2CH30 -5> So they established a {decree} to make

proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan,

that

they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of

Israel at

Jerusalem: for they had not done [it] of a long [time in suc

h sort] as it was written.

decree <EZR5 -13> But in the first year of Cyrus the king of

Babylon

[the same] king Cyrus made a {decree} to build this house of God.

decree <EZR5 -17> Now therefore, if [it seem] good to the king,

let

there be search made in the king's treasure house, which [is]

there

at Babylon, whether it be [so], that a {decree} was made of Cyrus

the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and

let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.

decree <EZR6 -1> Then Darius the king made a {decree}, and search

was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were

laid up

in Babylon.

decree <EZR6 -3> In the first year of Cyrus the king [the same]

Cyrus the king made a {decree} [concerning] the house of God at

Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered

sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid;

the height thereof threescore cubits, [and] the breadth thereof

threescore cubits;

decree <EZR6 -8> Moreover I make a {decree} what ye shall do to

the

elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that

of

the king's goods, [even] of the tribute beyond the river,

forthwith

expenses be given unto these men, that they be not

hindered.

decree <EZR6 -11> Also I have made a {decree}, that whosoever

shall

alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and

being

set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a

dunghill for this.

decree <EZR6 -12> And the God that hath caused his name to dwell

there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand

to

alter [and] to destroy this house of God which [is] at Jerusalem.

 I

Darius have made a {decree}; let it be done with speed

.

decree <EZR7 -13> I make a {decree}, that all they of the people

of

Israel, and [of] his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are

minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.

decree <EZR7 -21> And I, [even] I Artaxerxes the king, do make a

{decree} to all the treasurers which [are] beyond the river, that

whatsoever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of

heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

decree <EST1 -20> And when the king's {decree} which he shall

make

shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,)

all

the wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and

small.

decree <EST2 -8> So it came to pass, when the king's commandment

and

his {decree} was heard, and when many maidens were gathered

together

unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was

brought also unto the king's house, to the custody

of Hegai, keeper of the women.

decree <EST3 -15> The posts went out, being hastened by the

king's

commandment, and the {decree} was given in Shushan the palace.

And

the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was

perplexed.

decree <EST4 -3> And in every province, whithersoever the king's

commandment and his {decree} came, [there was] great mourning

among

the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in

sackcloth and ashes.

decree <EST4 -8> Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the

{decree} that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to show [it]

unto Esther, and to declare [it] unto her, and to charge her that

she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto h

im, and to make request before him for her people.

decree <EST8 -14> So] the posts that rode upon mules [and] camels

went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king's

commandment.

And the {decree} was given at Shushan the palace.

decree <EST8 -17> And in every province, and in every city,

whithersoever the king's commandment and his {decree} came, the

Jews

had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the

people

of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell up

on them.

decree <EST9 -1> Now in the twelfth month, that [is], the month

Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's

commandment

and his {decree} drew near to be put in execution, in the day

that

the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them,

(though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule

over

them that hated them;)

decree <EST9 -13> Then said Esther, If it please the king, let

it be

granted to the Jews which [are] in Shushan to do to morrow also

according unto this day's {decree}, and let Haman's ten sons be

hanged upon the gallows.

decree <EST9 -14> And the king commanded it so to be done: and

the

{decree} was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.

decree <EST9 -32> And the {decree} of Esther confirmed these

matters

of Purim; and it was written in the book.

decree <JOB22 -28> Thou shalt also {decree} a thing, and it

shall be

established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

decree <JOB28 -26> When he made a {decree} for the rain, and a

way

for the lightning of the thunder:

decree <PSA2 -7> I will declare the {decree}: the LORD hath said

unto me, Thou [art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

decree <PSA148 -6> He hath also stablished them for ever and

ever:

he hath made a {decree} which shall not pass.

decree <PRO8 -15> By me kings reign, and princes {decree}

justice.

decree <PRO8 -29> When he gave to the sea his {decree}, that the

waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the

foundations of the earth:

decree <ISA10 -1> Woe unto them that {decree} unrighteous

decrees,

and that write grievousness [which] they have prescribed;

decree <JER5 -22> Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not

tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand [for] the

bound

of the sea by a perpetual {decree}, that it cannot pass it: and

though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not pre

vail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

decree <DAN2 -9> But if ye will not make known unto me the dream,

[there is but] one {decree} for you: for ye have prepared lying

and

corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed:

therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can sho

w me the interpretation thereof.

decree <DAN2 -13> And the {decree} went forth that the wise [men]

should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be

slain.

decree <DAN2 -15> He answered and said to Arioch the king's

captain,

Why [is] the {decree} [so] hasty from the king? Then Arioch made

the

thing known to Daniel.

decree <DAN3 -10> Thou, O king, hast made a {decree}, that every

man

that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut,

psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, shall fall down

and

worship the golden image:

decree <DAN3 -29> Therefore I make a {decree}, That every people,

nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the

God of

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and

their

houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no

other God that can deliver after this sort.

decree <DAN4 -6> Therefore made I a {decree} to bring in all the

wise [men] of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto

me

the interpretation of the dream.

decree <DAN4 -17> This matter [is] by the {decree} of the

watchers,

and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that

the

living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men,

and

giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up ov

er it the basest of men.

decree <DAN4 -24> This [is] the interpretation, O king, and this

[is] the {decree} of the most High, which is come upon my lord

the

king:

decree <DAN6 -7> All the presidents of the kingdom, the

governors,

and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have

consulted

together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm

{decree},

that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man

for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the

den of lions.

decree <DAN6 -8> Now, O king, establish the {decree}, and sign

the

writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the

Medes

and Persians, which altereth not.

decree <DAN6 -9> Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the

{decree}.

decree <DAN6 -12> Then they came near, and spake before the king

concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a {decree},

that

every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God or man within

thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the d

en of lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true,

according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth

not.

decree <DAN6 -12> Then they came near, and spake before the king

concerning the king's {decree}; Hast thou not signed a decree,

that

every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God or man within

thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the d

en of lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true,

according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth

not.

decree <DAN6 -13> Then answered they and said before the king,

That

Daniel, which [is] of the children of the captivity of Judah,

regardeth not thee, O king, nor the {decree} that thou hast

signed,

but maketh his petition three times a day.

decree <DAN6 -15> Then these men assembled unto the king, and

said

unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and

Persians

[is], That no {decree} nor statute which the king establisheth

may

be changed.

decree <DAN6 -26> I make a {decree}, That in every dominion of my

kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he

[is]

the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom [that]

which

shall not be destroyed, and his dominion [shall be eve

n] unto the end.

decree <JON3 -7> And he caused [it] to be proclaimed and

published

through Nineveh by the {decree} of the king and his nobles,

saying,

Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let

them

not feed, nor drink water:

decree <MIC7 -11> In] the day that thy walls are to be built,

[in]

that day shall the {decree} be far removed.

decree <ZEP2 -2> Before the {decree} bring forth, [before] the

day

pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon

you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.

decree <LUK2 -1> And it came to pass in those days, that there

went

out a {decree} from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be

taxed.
