would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the child
ren of Israel:

themselves together out of the cities unto Gibeah, to go out to
battle against the children of Israel.

numbered at
that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew
sword, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered
seven
hundred chosen men.

go
out to battle against the children of {Benjamin} my brother, or
shall I cease? And the LORD said, Go up; for to morrow I
will deliver them into thine hand.

children of {Benjamin} on the third day, and put themselves in
array
against Gibeah, as at other times.

highways,
of which one goeth up to the house of God, and the
other to Gibeah in the field, about thirty men of Israel.

[are]
smitten down before us, as at the first. But the children of
Israel
said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city unto the highways.
benjamin <JUG20 -35> And the LORD smote {Benjamin} before Israel:
and the children of Israel destroyed of the Benjamites that day
twenty and five thousand and an hundred men: all these drew the
sword.
benjamin <JUG20 -36> So the children of {Benjamin} saw that they
were smitten: for the men of Israel gave place to the Benjamites,
because they trusted unto the liers in wait which they had set
beside Gibeah.
benjamin <JUG20 -39> And when the men of Israel retired in the
battle, {Benjamin} began to smite [and] kill of the men of Israel
about thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down
before us, as [in] the first battle.
benjamin <JUG20 -41> And when the men of Israel turned again, the
men of {Benjamin} were amazed: for they saw that evil was come
upon
them.
benjamin <JUG20 -44> And there fell of {Benjamin} eighteen
thousand
men; all these [were] men of valour.

{Benjamin}
were twenty and five thousand men that drew the sword; all these
[were] men of valour.
benjamin <JUG20 -48> And the men of Israel turned again upon the
children of {Benjamin}, and smote them with the edge of the
sword,
as well the men of [every] city, as the beast, and all that came
to
hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they ca
me to.
benjamin <JUG21 -1> Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpeh,
saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter unto
{Benjamin}
to wife.

{Benjamin} their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off
from
Israel this day.

speak

because that the LORD had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.

How
shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing the women are
destroyed out of {Benjamin}?
benjamin <JUG21 -17> And they said, [There must be] an
inheritance
for them that be escaped of {Benjamin}, that a tribe be not
destroyed out of Israel.
benjamin <JUG21 -18> Howbeit we may not give them wives of our
daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed
[be] he that giveth a wife to {Benjamin}.
benjamin <JUG21 -20> Therefore they commanded the children of
{Benjamin}, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards;
benjamin <JUG21 -21> And see, and, behold, if the daughters of
Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the
vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of
Shiloh, and go to the land of {Benjamin}.
benjamin <JUG21 -23> And the children of {Benjamin} did so, and
took
[them] wives, according to their number, of them that danced,
whom
they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance,
and
repaired the cities, and dwelt in them.

benjamin <NEH11 -4> And at Jerusalem dwelt [certain] of the
children
of Judah, and of the children of {Benjamin}. Of the children of
Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son
of
Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel,
of the children of Perez;
benjamin <NEH11 -7> And these [are] the sons of {Benjamin}; Sallu
the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the
son
of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of
Jesaiah.

[dwelt] at Michmash, and Aija, and Bethel, and [in] their
villages,

Jeremiah,

which
[was] by the house of the LORD.

thyself. Then I knew that this [was] the word of the LORD.
benjamin <JER32 -44> Men shall buy fields for money, and
subscribe
evidences, and seal [them], and take witnesses in the land of
{Benjamin}, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities

Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the citi
es of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will
cause
their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
benjamin <JER33 -13> In the cities of the mountains, in the
cities
of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of
{Benjamin}, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities

Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of hi
m that telleth [them], saith the LORD.

Jeremiah in the dungeon; the king then sitting in the gate of
{Benjamin};

and from the possession of the city, [being] in the midst [of
that]
which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and the
border of
{Benjamin}, shall be for the prince.
benjamin <EZE48 -23> As for the rest of the tribes, from the east
side unto the west side, {Benjamin} [shall have] a [portion].
benjamin <EZE48 -24> And by the border of {Benjamin}, from the
east
side unto the west side, Simeon [shall have] a [portion].
benjamin <EZE48 -32> And at the east side four thousand and five
hundred: and three gates; and one gate of Joseph, one gate of
{Benjamin}, one gate of Dan.
benjamin <HOS5 -8> Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, [and] the
trumpet
in Ramah: cry aloud [at] Bethaven, after thee, O {Benjamin}.
benjamin <OBA1 -19> And [they of] the south shall possess the
mount
of Esau; and [they of] the plain the Philistines: and they shall
possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and
{Benjamin} [shall possess] Gilead.
benjamin <ACT13 -21> And afterward they desired a king: and God
gave
unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of {Benjamin},
by
the space of forty years.
benjamin <ROM11 -1> I say then, Hath God cast away his people?
God
forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of]
the
tribe of {Benjamin}.
