sorrowful <1SA1 -15> And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I
[am] a woman of a {sorrowful} spirit: I have drunk neither wine
nor
strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.
sorrowful The things [that] my soul refused to touch
[are]
as my {sorrowful} meat.
sorrowful But I [am] poor and {sorrowful}: let thy
salvation, O God, set me up on high.
sorrowful Even in laughter the heart is {sorrowful};
and
the end of that mirth [is] heaviness.
sorrowful For I have satiated the weary soul, and I
have
replenished every {sorrowful} soul.
sorrowful I will gather [them that are] {sorrowful}
for
the solemn assembly, [who] are of thee, [to whom] the reproach
of it
[was] a burden.
sorrowful Ashkelon shall see [it], and fear; Gaza also
[shall see it], and be very {sorrowful}, and Ekron; for her
expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from
Gaza,
and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
sorrowful But when the young man heard that saying,

went away {sorrowful}: for he had great possessions.
sorrowful And they were exceeding {sorrowful}, and
began
every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?
sorrowful And he took with him Peter and the two
sons of
Zebedee, and began to be {sorrowful} and very heavy.

{sorrowful}, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches
enter
into the kingdom of God!
sorrowful Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye
shall
weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be
{sorrowful}, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
sorrowful <2CO6 -10> As {sorrowful}, yet alway rejoicing; as
poor,
yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet] possessing all
things.
sorrowful I sent him therefore the more carefully,
that,
when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less
{sorrowful}.
