scribe <2SA8 -17> And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the
son
of Abiathar, [were] the priests; and Seraiah [was] the {scribe};
scribe <2SA20 -25> And Sheva [was] {scribe}: and Zadok and
Abiathar
[were] the priests:
scribe <2KI12 -10> And it was [so], when they saw that [there
was]
much money in the chest, that the king's {scribe} and the high
priest came up, and they put up in bags, and told the money that
was
found in the house of the LORD.
scribe <2KI18 -18> And when they had called to the king, there
came
out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which [was] over the
household, and Shebna the {scribe}, and Joah the son of Asaph the
recorder.
scribe <2KI18 -37> Then came Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, which
[was]
over the household, and Shebna the {scribe}, and Joah the son of
Asaph the recorder, to Hezekiah with [their] clothes rent, and
told
him the words of Rabshakeh.
scribe <2KI19 -2> And he sent Eliakim, which [was] over the
household, and Shebna the {scribe}, and the elders of the
priests,
covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
scribe <2KI22 -3> And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of
king
Josiah, [that] the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son
of
Meshullam, the {scribe}, to the house of the LORD, saying,
scribe <2KI22 -8> And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan
the
{scribe}, I have found the book of the law in the house of the
LORD.
And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
scribe <2KI22 -9> And Shaphan the {scribe} came to the king, and
brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered
the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into
the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight
of the house of the LORD.
scribe <2KI22 -10> And Shaphan the {scribe} showed the king,
saying,
Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it
before the king.
scribe <2KI22 -12> And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and
Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and
Shaphan the {scribe}, and Asahiah a servant of the king's,
saying,
scribe <2KI25 -19> And out of the city he took an officer that
was
set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the
king's presence, which were found in the city, and the principal
{scribe} of the host, which mustered the people of the land,
and threescore men of the people of the land [that were] found
in
the city:
scribe <1CH18 -16> And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the
son of Abiathar, [were] the priests; and Shavsha was {scribe};
scribe <1CH24 -6> And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the {scribe},
[one] of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the
princes,
and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and
[before] the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites:
one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and [one] taken
for Ithamar.
scribe <1CH27 -32> Also Jonathan David's uncle was a counsellor,
a
wise man, and a {scribe}: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni [was]
with
the king's sons:
scribe <2CH24 -11> Now it came to pass, that at what time the
chest
was brought unto the king's office by the hand of the Levites,
and
when they saw that [there was] much money, the king's {scribe}
and
the high priest's officer came and emptied the chest,
and took it, and carried it to his place again. Thus they did
day
by day, and gathered money in abundance.
scribe <2CH26 -11> Moreover Uzziah had an host of fighting men,
that
went out to war by bands, according to the number of their
account
by the hand of Jeiel the {scribe} and Maaseiah the ruler, under
the
hand of Hananiah, [one] of the king's captains.
scribe <2CH34 -15> And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the
{scribe}, I have found the book of the law in the house of the
LORD.
And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan.
scribe <2CH34 -18> Then Shaphan the {scribe} told the king,
saying,
Hilkiah the priest hath given me a book. And Shaphan read it
before
the king.
scribe <2CH34 -20> And the king commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the
son of Shaphan, and Abdon the son of Micah, and Shaphan the
{scribe}, and Asaiah a servant of the king's, saying,
scribe Rehum the chancellor and Shimshai the {scribe}
wrote a letter against Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king in this
sort:
scribe Then [wrote] Rehum the chancellor, and Shimshai
the
{scribe}, and the rest of their companions; the Dinaites, the
Apharsathchites, the Tarpelites, the Apharsites, the Archevites,
the
Babylonians, the Susanchites, the Dehavites, [and] the
Elamites,
scribe Then] sent the king an answer unto Rehum the
chancellor, and [to] Shimshai the {scribe}, and [to] the rest of
their companions that dwell in Samaria, and [unto] the rest
beyond
the river, Peace, and at such a time.
scribe Now when the copy of king Artaxerxes' letter
[was]
read before Rehum, and Shimshai the {scribe}, and their
companions,
they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them
to
cease by force and power.
scribe This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he [was] a
ready {scribe} in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel
had
given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the
hand of the LORD his God upon him.
scribe Now this [is] the copy of the letter that the
king
Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the {scribe}, [even] a
scribe
of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his
statutes to
Israel.
scribe Now this [is] the copy of the letter that the
king
Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, [even] a
{scribe}
of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his
statutes to
Israel.
scribe Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the
priest, a
{scribe} of the law of the God of heaven, perfect [peace], and at
such a time.
scribe And I, [even] I Artaxerxes the king, do make a
decree to all the treasurers which [are] beyond the river, that
whatsoever Ezra the priest, the {scribe} of the law of the God of
heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
scribe And all the people gathered themselves together
as
one man into the street that [was] before the water gate; and
they
spake unto Ezra the {scribe} to bring the book of the law of
Moses,
which the LORD had commanded to Israel.
scribe And Ezra the {scribe} stood upon a pulpit of
wood,
which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood
Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and
Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and M
ishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah,
[and]
Meshullam.
scribe And Nehemiah, which [is] the Tirshatha, and Ezra
the priest the {scribe}, and the Levites that taught the people,
said unto all the people, This day [is] holy unto the LORD your
God;
mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they
heard the words of the law.
scribe And on the second day were gathered together
the
chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the
Levites, unto Ezra the {scribe}, even to understand the words of
the
law.
scribe These [were] in the days of Joiakim the son of
Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the
governor, and of Ezra the priest, the {scribe}.
scribe And his brethren, Shemaiah, and Azarael,
Milalai,
Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical
instruments of David the man of God, and Ezra the {scribe} before
them.
scribe And I made treasurers over the treasuries,
Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the {scribe}, and of the Levites,
Pedaiah: and next to them [was] Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son
of
Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office
[was] to distribute unto their brethren.
scribe Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where [is]
the
{scribe}? where [is] the receiver? where [is] he that counted the
towers?
scribe Then came forth unto him Eliakim, Hilkiah's
son,
which was over the house, and Shebna the {scribe}, and Joah,
Asaph's
son, the recorder.
scribe Then came Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, that
[was]
over the household, and Shebna the {scribe}, and Joah, the son of
Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah with [their] clothes rent, and
told
him the words of Rabshakeh.
scribe And he sent Eliakim, who [was] over the
household,
and Shebna the {scribe}, and the elders of the priests covered
with
sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
scribe Then read Baruch in the book the words of
Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the
son of Shaphan the {scribe}, in the higher court, at the entry of
the new gate of the LORD'S house, in the ears of all the peopl
e.
scribe Then he went down into the king's house, into
the
scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, [even]
Elishama the {scribe}, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and
Elnathan
the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and
Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.
scribe And they went in to the king into the court,
but
they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the {scribe},
and
told all the words in the ears of the king.
scribe But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of
Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son
of
Abdeel, to take Baruch the {scribe} and Jeremiah the prophet: but
the LORD hid them.
scribe Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it
to
Baruch the {scribe}, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from
the
mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king
of
Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added be
sides unto them many like words.
scribe Wherefore the princes were wroth with
Jeremiah,
and smote him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the
{scribe}: for they had made that the prison.
scribe Therefore hear now, I pray thee, O my lord the
king: let my supplication, I pray thee, be accepted before thee;
that thou cause me not to return to the house of Jonathan the
{scribe}, lest I die there.
scribe He took also out of the city an eunuch, which
had
the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were
near
the king's person, which were found in the city; and the
principal
{scribe} of the host, who mustered the people of the
land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were
found
in the midst of the city.
scribe And a certain {scribe} came, and said unto him,
Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
scribe Then said he unto them, Therefore every
{scribe}
[which is] instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a
man
[that is] an householder, which bringeth forth out of his
treasure
[things] new and old.
scribe And the {scribe} said unto him, Well, Master,
thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none
other but he:
scribe <1CO1 -20> Where is] the wise? where is] the {scribe}?
where
is] the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the
wisdom
of this world?
