rain And every plant of the field before it was in the

earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD
God

had not caused it to {rain} upon the earth, and [there was] not a

man to till the ground.

rain For yet seven days, and I will cause it to {rain}

upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living

substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of
the

earth.

rain And the {rain} was upon the earth forty days and

forty nights.

rain The fountains also of the deep and the windows of

heaven were stopped, and the {rain} from heaven was restrained;

rain Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause
it to

{rain} a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since

the foundation thereof even until now.

rain And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and

spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail

ceased, and the {rain} was not poured upon the earth.

rain And when Pharaoh saw that the {rain} and the hail

and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened
his

heart, he and his servants.

rain Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will
{rain}

bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and
gather a

certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will

walk in my law, or no.

rain Then I will give you {rain} in due season, and
the

land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall

yield their fruit.

rain But the land, whither ye go to possess it, [is]
a

land of hills and valleys, [and] drinketh water of the {rain} of

heaven:

rain That I will give [you] the {rain} of your land
in

his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou
mayest

gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

rain That I will give [you] the rain of your land in
his

due season, the first {rain} and the latter rain, that thou
mayest

gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

rain That I will give [you] the rain of your land in
his

due season, the first rain and the latter {rain}, that thou
mayest

gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

rain And [then] the LORD'S wrath be kindled against
you,

and he shut up the heaven, that there be no {rain}, and that the

land yield not her fruit; and [lest] ye perish quickly from off
the

good land which the LORD giveth you.

rain The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure,

the heaven to give the {rain} unto thy land in his season, and to

bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many

nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

rain The LORD shall make the {rain} of thy land
powder

and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be

destroyed.

rain My doctrine shall drop as the {rain}, my speech

shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb,
and

as the showers upon the grass:

rain My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech
shall

distil as the dew, as the small {rain} upon the tender herb, and
as

the showers upon the grass:

rain <1SA12 -17> Is it] not wheat harvest to day? I will call
unto

the LORD, and he shall send thunder and {rain}; that ye may
perceive

and see that your wickedness [is] great, which ye have done in
the

sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.

rain <1SA12 -18> So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD
sent

thunder and {rain} that day: and all the people greatly feared
the

LORD and Samuel.

rain <2SA1 -21> Ye mountains of Gilboa, [let there be] no dew,

neither [let there be] {rain}, upon you, nor fields of offerings:

for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the
shield

of Saul, [as though he had] not [been] anointed with oil.

rain <2SA23 -4> And [he shall be] as the light of the morning,

[when] the sun riseth, [even] a morning without clouds; [as] the

tender grass [springing] out of the earth by clear shining after

{rain}.

rain <1KI8 -35> When heaven is shut up, and there is no {rain},

because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this

place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou

afflictest them:

rain <1KI8 -36> Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of
thy

servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good

way wherein they should walk, and give {rain} upon thy land,
which

thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.

rain <1KI17 -1> And Elijah the Tishbite, [who was] of the

inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, [As] the LORD God of
Israel

liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor {rain}
these

years, but according to my word.

rain <1KI17 -7> And it came to pass after a while, that the brook

dried up, because there had been no {rain} in the land.

rain <1KI17 -14> For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The
barrel

of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail,
until

the day [that] the LORD sendeth {rain} upon the earth.

rain <1KI18 -1> And it came to pass [after] many days, that the
word

of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, show

thyself unto Ahab; and I will send {rain} upon the earth.

rain <1KI18 -41> And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and

drink; for [there is] a sound of abundance of {rain}.

rain <1KI18 -44> And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he

said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a

man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare [thy

chariot], and get thee down, that the {rain} stop thee not.

rain <1KI18 -45> And it came to pass in the mean while, that the

heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great
{rain}.

And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

rain <2KI3 -17> For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind,

neither shall ye see {rain}; yet that valley shall be filled with

water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your
beasts.

rain <2CH6 -26> When the heaven is shut up, and there is no
{rain},

because they have sinned against thee; [yet] if they pray toward

this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when
thou

dost afflict them;

rain <2CH6 -27> Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin
of

thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught
them

the good way, wherein they should walk; and send {rain} upon thy

land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inher

itance.

rain <2CH7 -13> If I shut up heaven that there be no {rain}, or
if I

command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence

among my people;

rain Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered

themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It [was]
the

ninth month, on the twentieth [day] of the month; and all the
people

sat in the street of the house of God, trembling becaus

e of [this] matter, and for the great {rain}.

rain But the people [are] many, and [it is] a time of

much {rain}, and we are not able to stand without, neither [is
this]

a work of one day or two: for we are many that have transgressed
in

this thing.

rain Who giveth {rain} upon the earth, and sendeth
waters

upon the fields:

rain When] he is about to fill his belly, [God] shall

cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall {rain} [it] upon
him

while he is eating.

rain When he made a decree for the {rain}, and a way
for

the lightning of the thunder:

rain And they waited for me as for the rain; and they

opened their mouth wide [as] for the latter {rain}.

rain And they waited for me as for the {rain}; and
they

opened their mouth wide [as] for the latter rain.

rain For he maketh small the drops of water: they
pour

down {rain} according to the vapour thereof:

rain For he saith to the snow, Be thou [on] the earth;

likewise to the small rain, and to the great {rain} of his
strength.

rain For he saith to the snow, Be thou [on] the earth;

likewise to the small {rain}, and to the great rain of his
strength.

rain To cause it to {rain} on the earth, [where] no
man

[is; on] the wilderness, wherein [there is] no man;

rain Hath the {rain} a father? or who hath begotten
the

drops of dew?

rain Upon the wicked he shall {rain} snares, fire and

brimstone, and an horrible tempest: [this shall be] the portion
of

their cup.

rain Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful {rain},
whereby

thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

rain He shall come down like {rain} upon the mown
grass:

as showers [that] water the earth.

rain Who] passing through the valley of Baca make it a

well; the {rain} also filleth the pools.

rain He gave them hail for {rain}, [and] flaming
fire

in their land.

rain He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends
of

the earth; he maketh lightnings for the {rain}; he bringeth the
wind

out of his treasuries.

rain Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who
prepareth

{rain} for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the
mountains.

rain In the light of the king's countenance [is]
life;

and his favour [is] as a cloud of the latter {rain}.

rain Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift [is like]

clouds and wind without {rain}.

rain The north wind driveth away {rain}: so [doth] an

angry countenance a backbiting tongue.

rain As snow in summer, and as {rain} in harvest, so

honour is not seemly for a fool.

rain A poor man that oppresseth the poor [is like] a

sweeping {rain} which leaveth no food.

rain If the clouds be full of {rain}, they empty

[themselves] upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the
south,

or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there
it

shall be.

rain While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the

stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the {rain}:

rain For, lo, the winter is past, the {rain} is over

[and] gone;

rain And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in
the

daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a
covert

from storm and from {rain}.

rain And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned,
nor

digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also

command the clouds that they {rain} no rain upon it.

rain And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned,
nor

digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also

command the clouds that they rain no {rain} upon it.

rain Then shall he give the {rain} of thy seed, that

thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of
the

earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy

cattle feed in large pastures.

rain He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the
cypress

and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees
of

the forest: he planteth an ash, and the {rain} doth nourish [it].

rain For as the {rain} cometh down, and the snow from

heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and

maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the
sower,

and bread to the eater:

rain Therefore the showers have been withholden, and
there

hath been no latter {rain}; and thou hadst a whore's forehead,
thou

refusedst to be ashamed.

rain Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear
the

LORD our God, that giveth {rain}, both the former and the latter,
in

his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the
harvest.

rain When he uttereth his voice, [there is] a
multitude

of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend
from

the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with {rain}, and

bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

rain Because the ground is chapt, for there was no
{rain}

in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.

rain Are there [any] among the vanities of the
Gentiles

that can cause {rain}? or can the heavens give showers? [art] not

thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for
thou

hast made all these [things].

rain When he uttereth [his] voice, [there is] a

multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to

ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with
{rain},

and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

rain As the appearance of the bow that is in the
cloud in

the day of {rain}, so [was] the appearance of the brightness
round

about. This [was] the appearance of the likeness of the glory of
the

LORD. And when I saw [it], I fell upon my face, an

d I heard a voice of one that spake.

rain And I will plead against him with pestilence and

with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and
upon

the many people that [are] with him, an overflowing {rain}, and

great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

rain And I will plead against him with pestilence and

with blood; and I will {rain} upon him, and upon his bands, and
upon

the many people that [are] with him, an overflowing rain, and
great

hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

rain Then shall we know, [if] we follow on to know the

LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall
come

unto us as the rain, as the latter [and] former {rain} unto the

earth.

rain Then shall we know, [if] we follow on to know the

LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall
come

unto us as the {rain}, as the latter [and] former rain unto the

earth.

rain Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in
mercy;

break up your fallow ground: for [it is] time to seek the LORD,
till

he come and {rain} righteousness upon you.

rain Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in

the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain
moderately,

and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain,

and the latter {rain} in the first [month].

rain Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in

the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former {rain}

moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the

former rain, and the latter rain in the first [month].

rain Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in

the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain
moderately,

and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former
{rain},

and the latter rain in the first [month].

rain Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in

the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain
moderately,

and he will cause to come down for you the {rain}, the former
rain,

and the latter rain in the first [month].

rain And also I have withholden the rain from you, when

[there were] yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to

{rain} upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another
city:

one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rai

ned not withered.

rain And also I have withholden the rain from you, when

[there were] yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to

rain upon one city, and caused it not to {rain} upon another
city:

one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rai

ned not withered.

rain And also I have withholden the {rain} from you,
when

[there were] yet three months to the harvest: and I caused it to

rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city:
one

piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rai

ned not withered.

rain Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter

rain; [so] the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them
showers

of {rain}, to every one grass in the field.

rain Ask ye of the LORD {rain} in the time of the
latter

rain; [so] the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them
showers

of rain, to every one grass in the field.

rain Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter

{rain}; [so] the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them

showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

rain And it shall be, [that] whoso will not come up
of

[all] the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the
King,

the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no {rain}.

rain And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come
not,

that [have] no [{rain}]; there shall be the plague, wherewith the

LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of

tabernacles.

rain That ye may be the children of your Father which
is

in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the

good, and sendeth {rain} on the just and on the unjust.

rain And the {rain} descended, and the floods came,
and

the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it

was founded upon a rock.

rain And the {rain} descended, and the floods came,
and

the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great
was

the fall of it.

rain Nevertheless he left not himself without
witness,

in that he did good, and gave us {rain} from heaven, and fruitful

seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

rain And the barbarous people showed us no little

kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one,

because of the present {rain}, and because of the cold.

rain For the earth which drinketh in the {rain} that

cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by
whom

it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

rain Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of

the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit
of

the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the
early

and latter {rain}.

rain Elias was a man subject to like passions as we
are,

and he prayed earnestly that it might not {rain}: and it rained
not

on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

rain And he prayed again, and the heaven gave {rain},
and

the earth brought forth her fruit.

rain These have power to shut heaven, that it {rain}
not

in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn

them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often
as

they will.
