prophets And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my

sake? would God that all the LORD'S people were {prophets}, [and]

that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!

prophets <1SA10 -5> After that thou shalt come to the hill of
God,

where [is] the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to

pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt
meet a

company of {prophets} coming down from the high place

with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before
them;

and they shall prophesy:

prophets <1SA10 -10> And when they came thither to the hill,
behold,

a company of {prophets} met him; and the spirit of God came upon

him, and he prophesied among them.

prophets <1SA10 -11> And it came to pass, when all that knew him

beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets,
then

the people said one to another, What [is] this [that] is come
unto

the son of Kish? [Is] Saul also among the {prophets}?

prophets <1SA10 -11> And it came to pass, when all that knew him

beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the {prophets},

then the people said one to another, What [is] this [that] is
come

unto the son of Kish? [Is] Saul also among the prophets?

prophets <1SA10 -12> And one of the same place answered and said,

But who [is] their father? Therefore it became a proverb, [Is]
Saul

also among the {prophets}?

prophets <1SA19 -20> And Saul sent messengers to take David: and

when they saw the company of the {prophets} prophesying, and
Samuel

standing [as] appointed over them, the spirit of God was upon the

messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

prophets <1SA19 -24> And he stripped off his clothes also, and

prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all
that

day and all that night. Wherefore they say, [Is] Saul also among
the

{prophets}?

prophets <1SA28 -6> And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD

answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by
{prophets}.

prophets <1SA28 -15> And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou

disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore

distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is

departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by
{prophets},

nor

by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make
known

unto me what I shall do.

prophets <1KI18 -4> For it was [so], when Jezebel cut off the

{prophets} of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets,
and

hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

prophets <1KI18 -4> For it was [so], when Jezebel cut off the

prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred {prophets},
and

hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

prophets <1KI18 -13> Was it not told my lord what I did when
Jezebel

slew the prophets of the LORD, how I hid an hundred men of the

LORD's {prophets} by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and

water?

prophets <1KI18 -13> Was it not told my lord what I did when
Jezebel

slew the {prophets} of the LORD, how I hid an hundred men of the

LORD's prophets by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and

water?

prophets <1KI18 -19> Now therefore send, [and] gather to me all

Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred
and

fifty, and the {prophets} of the groves four hundred, which eat
at

Jezebel's table.

prophets <1KI18 -19> Now therefore send, [and] gather to me all

Israel unto mount Carmel, and the {prophets} of Baal four hundred

and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which
eat at

Jezebel's table.

prophets <1KI18 -20> So Ahab sent unto all the children of
Israel,

and gathered the {prophets} together unto mount Carmel.

prophets <1KI18 -22> Then said Elijah unto the people, I, [even]
I

only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's {prophets} [are]
four

hundred and fifty men.

prophets <1KI18 -25> And Elijah said unto the {prophets} of Baal,

Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress [it] first; for
ye

[are] many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire

[under].

prophets <1KI18 -40> And Elijah said unto them, Take the
{prophets}

of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and
Elijah

brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

prophets <1KI19 -1> And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had
done,

and withal how he had slain all the {prophets} with the sword.

prophets <1KI19 -10> And he said, I have been very jealous for
the

LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy

covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy {prophets} with

the sword; and I, [even] I only, am left; and they seek my

life, to take it away.

prophets <1KI19 -14> And he said, I have been very jealous for
the

LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken
thy

covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy {prophets} with

the sword; and I, [even] I only, am left; and they see

k my life, to take it away.

prophets <1KI20 -35> And a certain man of the sons of the
{prophets}

said unto his neighbour in the word of the LORD, Smite me, I pray

thee. And the man refused to smite him.

prophets <1KI20 -41> And he hasted, and took the ashes away from
his

face; and the king of Israel discerned him that he [was] of the

{prophets}.

prophets <1KI22 -6> Then the king of Israel gathered the
{prophets}

together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go

against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they
said,

Go up; for the Lord shall deliver [it] into the hand of

the king.

prophets <1KI22 -10> And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the
king

of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a

void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the

{prophets} prophesied before them.

prophets <1KI22 -12> And all the {prophets} prophesied so,
saying,

Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver
[it]

into the king's hand.

prophets <1KI22 -13> And the messenger that was gone to call
Micaiah

spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the {prophets}

[declare] good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray

thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak [that w

hich is] good.

prophets <1KI22 -22> And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And
he

said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth
of

all his {prophets}. And he said, Thou shalt persuade [him], and

prevail also: go forth, and do so.

prophets <1KI22 -23> Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a

lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy {prophets}, and the
LORD

hath spoken evil concerning thee.

prophets <2KI2 -3> And the sons of the {prophets} that [were] at

Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that

the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he

said, Yea, I know [it]; hold ye your peace.

prophets <2KI2 -5> And the sons of the {prophets} that [were] at

Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the

LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he

answered, Yea, I know [it]; hold ye your peace.

prophets <2KI2 -7> And fifty men of the sons of the {prophets}
went,

and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.

prophets <2KI2 -15> And when the sons of the {prophets} which
[were]

to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth

rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves
to

the ground before him.

prophets <2KI3 -13> And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What

have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father,
and

to the {prophets} of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto

him, Nay: for the LORD hath called these three kings to

gether, to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

prophets <2KI3 -13> And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What

have I to do with thee? get thee to the {prophets} of thy father,

and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said
unto

him, Nay: for the LORD hath called these three kings to

gether, to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

prophets <2KI4 -1> Now there cried a certain woman of the wives
of

the sons of the {prophets} unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my

husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the

LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons t

o be bondmen.

prophets <2KI4 -38> And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and [there
was]

a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets [were] sitting

before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot,
and

seethe pottage for the sons of the {prophets}.

prophets <2KI4 -38> And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and [there
was]

a dearth in the land; and the sons of the {prophets} [were]
sitting

before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot,
and

seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.

prophets <2KI5 -22> And he said, All [is] well. My master hath
sent

me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount
Ephraim

two young men of the sons of the {prophets}: give them, I pray
thee,

a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.

prophets <2KI6 -1> And the sons of the {prophets} said unto
Elisha,

Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for
us.

prophets <2KI9 -1> And Elisha the prophet called one of the
children

of the {prophets}, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take

this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:

prophets <2KI9 -7> And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy

master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the
{prophets},

and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of

Jezebel.

prophets <2KI10 -19> Now therefore call unto me all the
{prophets}

of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be
wanting:

for I have a great sacrifice [to do] to Baal; whosoever shall be

wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did [it] in subtl

ety, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.

prophets <2KI17 -13> Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and

against Judah, by all the prophets, [and by] all the seers,
saying,

Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments [and] my

statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fa

thers, and which I sent to you by my servants the {prophets}.

prophets <2KI17 -13> Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and

against Judah, by all the {prophets}, [and by] all the seers,

saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments
[and]

my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your

fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

prophets <2KI17 -23> Until the LORD removed Israel out of his
sight,

as he had said by all his servants the {prophets}. So was Israel

carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.

prophets <2KI21 -10> And the LORD spake by his servants the

{prophets}, saying,

prophets <2KI23 -2> And the king went up into the house of the
LORD,

and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem
with

him, and the priests, and the {prophets}, and all the people,
both

small and great: and he read in their ears all the w

ords of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of
the

LORD.

prophets <2KI24 -2> And the LORD sent against him bands of the

Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites,
and

bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to

destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake

by his servants the {prophets}.

prophets <1CH16 -22> Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my

{prophets} no harm.

prophets <2CH18 -5> Therefore the king of Israel gathered
together

of {prophets} four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go
to

Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up;

for God will deliver [it] into the king's hand.

prophets <2CH18 -9> And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king
of

Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in [their] robes,

and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of

Samaria; and all the {prophets} prophesied before them.

prophets <2CH18 -11> And all the {prophets} prophesied so,
saying,

Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver
[it]

into the hand of the king.

prophets <2CH18 -12> And the messenger that went to call Micaiah

spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the {prophets}
[declare]

good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray

thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.

prophets <2CH18 -21> And he said, I will go out, and be a lying

spirit in the mouth of all his {prophets}. And [the LORD] said,
Thou

shalt entice [him], and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do

[even] so.

prophets <2CH18 -22> Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a

lying spirit in the mouth of these thy {prophets}, and the LORD
hath

spoken evil against thee.

prophets <2CH20 -20> And they rose early in the morning, and went

forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth,

Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants
of

Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be estab

lished; believe his {prophets}, so shall ye prosper.

prophets <2CH24 -19> Yet he sent {prophets} to them, to bring
them

again unto the LORD; and they testified against them: but they
would

not give ear.

prophets <2CH29 -25> And he set the Levites in the house of the
LORD

with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the

commandment of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and Nathan the

prophet: for [so was] the commandment of the LORD by his

{prophets}.

prophets <2CH36 -16> But they mocked the messengers of God, and

despised his words, and misused his {prophets}, until the wrath
of

the LORD arose against his people, till [there was] no remedy.

prophets Then the {prophets}, Haggai the prophet, and

Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews that [were]
in

Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, [even] unto

them.

prophets Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel,
and

Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God
which

[is] at Jerusalem: and with them [were] the {prophets} of God

helping them.

prophets Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the

{prophets}, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is
an

unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with

their abominations, which have filled it from one end t

o another with their uncleanness.

prophets And thou hast also appointed {prophets} to
preach

of thee at Jerusalem, saying, [There is] a king in Judah: and now

shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come
now

therefore, and let us take counsel together.

prophets My God, think thou upon Tobiah and Sanballat

according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah,
and

the rest of the {prophets}, that would have put me in fear.

prophets Nevertheless they were disobedient, and
rebelled

against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy

{prophets} which testified against them to turn them to thee, and

they wrought great provocations.

prophets Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and

testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy {prophets}: yet
would

they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of
the

people of the lands.

prophets Now therefore, our God, the great, the
mighty,

and the terrible God, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all

the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on
our

kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our

{prophets}, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the

time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.

prophets Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my

{prophets} no harm.

prophets For the LORD hath poured out upon you the

spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the {prophets}
and

your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

prophets Which say to the seers, See not; and to the

{prophets}, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us
smooth

things, prophesy deceits:

prophets The priests said not, Where [is] the LORD? and

they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also
transgressed

against me, and the {prophets} prophesied by Baal, and walked
after

[things that] do not profit.

prophets As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so
is

the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes,
and

their priests, and their {prophets},

prophets In vain have I smitten your children; they

received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your

{prophets}, like a destroying lion.

prophets And it shall come to pass at that day, saith
the

LORD, [that] the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of

the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the
{prophets}

shall wonder.

prophets And the {prophets} shall become wind, and the

word [is] not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

prophets The {prophets} prophesy falsely, and the
priests

bear rule by their means; and my people love [to have it] so: and

what will ye do in the end thereof?

prophets Since the day that your fathers came forth
out

of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all
my

servants the {prophets}, daily rising up early and sending
[them]:

prophets At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring

out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his
princes,

and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the {prophets},
and

the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their

graves:

prophets Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith
the

LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even
the

kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the

{prophets}, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with dru

nkenness.

prophets Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the

{prophets} say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither
shall

ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.

prophets Then the LORD said unto me, The {prophets}

prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I
commanded

them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false
vision

and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit

of their heart.

prophets Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the

{prophets} that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet
they

say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and
famine

shall those prophets be consumed.

prophets Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the

prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they

say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and
famine

shall those {prophets} be consumed.

prophets Mine heart within me is broken because of the

{prophets}; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and
like a

man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of
the

words of his holiness.

prophets And I have seen folly in the {prophets} of

Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to

err.

prophets I have seen also in the {prophets} of
Jerusalem

an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they

strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return
from

his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom,

and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

prophets Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts

concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood,
and

make them drink the water of gall: for from the {prophets} of

Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

prophets Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts

concerning the {prophets}; Behold, I will feed them with
wormwood,

and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of

Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

prophets Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not
unto

the words of the {prophets} that prophesy unto you: they make you

vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, [and] not out of
the

mouth of the LORD.

prophets I have not sent these {prophets}, yet they
ran:

I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

prophets I have heard what the {prophets} said, that

prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

prophets How long shall [this] be in the heart of the

prophets that prophesy lies? yea, [they are] {prophets} of the

deceit of their own heart;

prophets How long shall [this] be in the heart of the

{prophets} that prophesy lies? yea, [they are] prophets of the

deceit of their own heart;

prophets Therefore, behold, I [am] against the

{prophets}, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from
his

neighbour.

prophets Behold, I [am] against the {prophets}, saith

the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

prophets And the LORD hath sent unto you all his
servants

the {prophets}, rising early and sending [them]; but ye have not

hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.

prophets To hearken to the words of my servants the

{prophets}, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and
sending

[them], but ye have not hearkened;

prophets So the priests and the {prophets} and all the

people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the
LORD.

prophets Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made
an

end of speaking all that the LORD had commanded [him] to speak
unto

all the people, that the priests and the {prophets} and all the

people took him, saying, Thou shalt surely die.

prophets Then spake the priests and the {prophets}
unto

the princes and to all the people, saying, This man [is] worthy
to

die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard
with

your ears.

prophets Then said the princes and all the people
unto

the priests and to the {prophets}; This man [is] not worthy to
die:

for he hath spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.

prophets Therefore hearken not ye to your {prophets},
nor

to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters,
nor

to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not
serve

the king of Babylon:

prophets Therefore hearken not unto the words of the

{prophets} that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the
king

of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

prophets For I have not sent them, saith the LORD,
yet

they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and
that

ye might perish, ye, and the {prophets} that prophesy unto you.

prophets Also I spake to the priests and to all this

people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of

your {prophets} that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the
vessels

of the LORD'S house shall now shortly be brought again fr

om Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

prophets But if they [be] {prophets}, and if the
word of

the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the
LORD of

hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD,
and

[in] the house of the king of Judah, and at Jeru

salem, go not to Babylon.

prophets The {prophets} that have been before me and

before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and

against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

prophets Now these [are] the words of the letter that

Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the

elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and
to

the {prophets}, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar

had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

prophets For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of

Israel; Let not your {prophets} and your diviners, that [be] in
the

midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which
ye

cause to be dreamed.

prophets Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised
us

up {prophets} in Babylon;

prophets Because they have not hearkened to my words,

saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the

{prophets}, rising up early and sending [them]; but ye would not

hear, saith the LORD.

prophets Because of all the evil of the children of

Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to
provoke

me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and

their {prophets}, and the men of Judah, and the inhabita

nts of Jerusalem.

prophets I have sent also unto you all my servants
the

{prophets}, rising up early and sending [them], saying, Return ye

now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go
not

after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in t

he land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye
have

not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.

prophets Where [are] now your {prophets} which

prophesied unto you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come

against you, nor against this land?

prophets Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the

{prophets}, rising early and sending [them], saying, Oh, do not
this

abominable thing that I hate.

prophets Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath

destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes [are]
among

the Gentiles: the law [is] no [more]; her {prophets} also find no

vision from the LORD.

prophets Thy {prophets} have seen vain and foolish
things

for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn
away

thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of

banishment.

prophets For the sins of her {prophets}, [and] the

iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the just
in

the midst of her,

prophets Son of man, prophesy against the {prophets}
of

Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of

their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;

prophets Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish

{prophets}, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

prophets O Israel, thy {prophets} are like the foxes
in

the deserts.

prophets And mine hand shall be upon the {prophets}
that

see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the
assembly

of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the

house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the la

nd of Israel; and ye shall know that I [am] the Lord GOD.

prophets To wit], the {prophets} of Israel which

prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for

her, and [there is] no peace, saith the Lord GOD.

prophets There is] a conspiracy of her {prophets} in
the

midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have

devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things;

they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.

prophets And her {prophets} have daubed them with

untempered [mortar], seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them,

saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.

prophets Thus saith the Lord GOD; [Art] thou he of
whom

I have spoken in old time by my servants the {prophets} of
Israel,

which prophesied in those days [many] years that I would bring
thee

against them?

prophets Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants
the

{prophets}, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes,
and

our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

prophets Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD
our

God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants
the

{prophets}.

prophets Therefore have I hewed [them] by the
{prophets};

I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments
[are

as] the light [that] goeth forth.

prophets I have also spoken by the prophets, and I
have

multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the

{prophets}.

prophets I have also spoken by the {prophets}, and I

have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of

the prophets.

prophets And I raised up of your sons for {prophets},
and

of your young men for Nazarites. [Is it] not even thus, O ye

children of Israel? saith the LORD.

prophets But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and

commanded the {prophets}, saying, Prophesy not.

prophets Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he

revealeth his secret unto his servants the {prophets}.

prophets Thus saith the LORD concerning the {prophets}

that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry,
Peace;

and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war

against him.

prophets Therefore night [shall be] unto you, that ye

shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye

shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the {prophets},
and

the day shall be dark over them.

prophets The heads thereof judge for reward, and the

priests thereof teach for hire, and the {prophets} thereof divine

for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, [Is] not
the

LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.

prophets Her {prophets} [are] light [and] treacherous

persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done

violence to the law.

prophets Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the
former

{prophets} have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts;
Turn ye

now from your evil ways, and [from] your evil doings: but they
did

not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.

prophets Your fathers, where [are] they? and the

{prophets}, do they live for ever?

prophets But my words and my statutes, which I
commanded

my servants the {prophets}, did they not take hold of your
fathers?

and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to
do

unto us, according to our ways, and according to our

doings, so hath he dealt with us.

prophets And] to speak unto the priests which [were] in

the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the {prophets}, saying,

Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have
done

these so many years?

prophets Should ye] not [hear] the words which the LORD

hath cried by the former {prophets}, when Jerusalem was inhabited

and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when

[men] inhabited the south and the plain?

prophets Yea, they made their hearts [as] an adamant

stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the
LORD

of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former {prophets}:
therefore

came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

prophets Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands
be

strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of
the

{prophets}, which [were] in the day [that] the foundation of the

house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple mig

ht be built.

prophets And it shall come to pass in that day, saith
the

LORD of hosts, [that] I will cut off the names of the idols out
of

the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will

cause the {prophets} and the unclean spirit to pass out

of the land.

prophets And it shall come to pass in that day, [that]

the {prophets} shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he

hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to
deceive:

prophets And he came and dwelt in a city called
Nazareth:

that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the {prophets}, He

shall be called a Nazarene.

prophets Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great
[is]

your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the {prophets}
which

were before you.

prophets Think not that I am come to destroy the law,
or

the {prophets}: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

prophets Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that

men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law
and

the {prophets}.

prophets Beware of false {prophets}, which come to
you in

sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

prophets For all the {prophets} and the law
prophesied

until John.

prophets For verily I say unto you, That many
{prophets}

and righteous [men] have desired to see [those things] which ye
see,

and have not seen [them]; and to hear [those things] which ye
hear,

and have not heard [them].

prophets And they said, Some [say that thou art] John

the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the

{prophets}.

prophets On these two commandments hang all the law
and

the {prophets}.

prophets Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees,

hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the {prophets}, and

garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,

prophets And say, If we had been in the days of our

fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood
of

the {prophets}.

prophets Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves,
that

ye are the children of them which killed the {prophets}.

prophets Wherefore, behold, I send unto you
{prophets},

and wise men, and scribes: and [some] of them ye shall kill and

crucify; and [some] of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues,
and

persecute [them] from city to city:

prophets O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that killest
the

{prophets}, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often

would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen
gathereth

her chickens under [her] wings, and ye would not!

prophets And many false {prophets} shall rise, and
shall

deceive many.

prophets For there shall arise false Christs, and
false

{prophets}, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch
that,

if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

prophets But all this was done, that the scriptures
of

the {prophets} might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook

him, and fled.

prophets As it is written in the {prophets}, Behold, I

send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way

before thee.

prophets Others said, That it is Elias. And others
said,

That it is a prophet, or as one of the {prophets}.

prophets And they answered, John the Baptist: but some

say], Elias; and others, One of the {prophets}.

prophets For false Christs and false {prophets} shall

rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were]

possible, even the elect.

prophets As he spake by the mouth of his holy
{prophets},

which have been since the world began:

prophets Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy:
for,

behold, your reward is] great in heaven: for in the like manner
did

their fathers unto the {prophets}.

prophets Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well
of

you! for so did their fathers to the false {prophets}.

prophets And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of

others, that one of the old {prophets} was risen again.

prophets They answering said, John the Baptist; but
some

say], Elias; and others say], that one of the old {prophets} is

risen again.

prophets For I tell you, that many {prophets} and
kings

have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen

them]; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard

them].

prophets Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of

the {prophets}, and your fathers killed them.

prophets Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I
will

send them {prophets} and apostles, and some] of them they shall
slay

and persecute:

prophets That the blood of all the {prophets}, which
was

shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this

generation;

prophets There shall be weeping and gnashing of
teeth,

when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the

{prophets}, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves] thrust
out.

prophets O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the

{prophets}, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often

would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth
gather]

her brood under her] wings, and ye would not!

prophets The law and the {prophets} were] until John:

since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man

presseth into it.

prophets Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and
the

{prophets}; let them hear them.

prophets And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses

and the {prophets}, neither will they be persuaded, though one
rose

from the dead.

prophets Then he took unto him] the twelve, and said

unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are

written by the {prophets} concerning the Son of man shall be

accomplished.

prophets Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of

heart to believe all that the {prophets} have spoken:

prophets And beginning at Moses and all the
{prophets},

he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things
concerning

himself.

prophets And he said unto them, These are] the words

which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things

must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and
in]

the {prophets}, and in] the psalms, concerning me.

prophets Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him,
We

have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the {prophets}, did

write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

prophets It is written in the {prophets}, And they
shall

be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and
hath

learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

prophets Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that

thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the {prophets}; and thou

sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

prophets Art thou greater than our father Abraham,
which

is dead? and the {prophets} are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

prophets But those things, which God before had
showed by

the mouth of all his {prophets}, that Christ should suffer, he
hath

so fulfilled.

prophets Whom the heaven must receive until the times
of

restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of
all

his holy {prophets} since the world began.

prophets Yea, and all the {prophets} from Samuel and

those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise

foretold of these days.

prophets Ye are the children of the {prophets}, and of

the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto
Abraham,

And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

prophets Then God turned, and gave them up to worship
the

host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the {prophets},
O ye

house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and
sacrifices

by the space of] forty years in the wilderness?

prophets Which of the {prophets} have not your fathers

persecuted? and they have slain them which showed before of the

coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers
and

murderers:

prophets To him give all the {prophets} witness, that

through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive
remission

of sins.

prophets And in these days came {prophets} from

Jerusalem unto Antioch.

prophets Now there were in the church that was at
Antioch

certain {prophets} and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was

called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been

brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

prophets And after the reading of the law and the

{prophets} the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying,
Ye]

men and] brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the

people, say on.

prophets For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their

rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the

{prophets} which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled

them] in condemning him].

prophets Beware therefore, lest that come upon you,

which is spoken of in the {prophets};

prophets And to this agree the words of the
{prophets};

as it is written,

prophets And Judas and Silas, being {prophets} also

themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed

them].

prophets But this I confess unto thee, that after the

way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers,

believing all things which are written in the law and in the

{prophets}:

prophets Having therefore obtained help of God, I

continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great,
saying

none other things than those which the {prophets} and Moses did
say

should come:

prophets King Agrippa, believest thou the
{prophets}? I

know that thou believest.

prophets And when they had appointed him a day, there

came many to him into his] lodging; to whom he expounded and

testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus,
both

out of the law of Moses, and out of] the {prophets}, from m

orning till evening.

prophets Which he had promised afore by his {prophets}
in

the holy scriptures,)

prophets But now the righteousness of God without the
law

is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the {prophets};

prophets Lord, they have killed thy {prophets}, and

digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my

life.

prophets But now is made manifest, and by the
scriptures

of the {prophets}, according to the commandment of the
everlasting

God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

prophets <1CO12 -28> And God hath set some in the church, first

apostles, secondarily {prophets}, thirdly teachers, after that

miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments,
diversities of

tongues.

prophets <1CO12 -29> Are] all apostles? are] all {prophets}? are]

all teachers? are] all workers of miracles?

prophets <1CO14 -29> Let the {prophets} speak two or three, and
let

the other judge.

prophets <1CO14 -32> And the spirits of the {prophets} are
subject

to the prophets.

prophets <1CO14 -32> And the spirits of the prophets are subject
to

the {prophets}.

prophets And are built upon the foundation of the

apostles and {prophets}, Jesus Christ himself being the chief
corner

stone];

prophets Which in other ages was not made known unto
the

sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and

{prophets} by the Spirit;

prophets And he gave some, apostles; and some,

{prophets}; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and
teachers;

prophets <1TH2 -15> Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own

{prophets}, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and
are

contrary to all men:

prophets God, who at sundry times and in divers manners

spake in time past unto the fathers by the {prophets},

prophets And what shall I more say? for the time
would

fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of] Barak, and of] Samson, and of]

Jephthae; of] David also, and Samuel, and of] the {prophets}:

prophets Take, my brethren, the {prophets}, who have

spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering

affliction, and of patience.

prophets <1PE1 -10> Of which salvation the {prophets} have
inquired

and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should

come] unto you:

prophets <2PE2 -1> But there were false {prophets} also among the

people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who
privily

shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that
bought

them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

prophets <2PE3 -2> That ye may be mindful of the words which were

spoken before by the holy {prophets}, and of the commandment of
us

the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

prophets <1JO4 -1> Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the

spirits whether they are of God: because many false {prophets}
are

gone out into the world.

prophets But in the days of the voice of the seventh

angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be

finished, as he hath declared to his servants the {prophets}.

prophets And they that dwell upon the earth shall

rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to

another; because these two {prophets} tormented them that dwelt
on

the earth.

prophets And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is

come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and
that

thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the {prophets}, and
to

the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and g

reat; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

prophets For they have shed the blood of saints and

{prophets}, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are

worthy.

prophets Rejoice over her, thou] heaven, and ye] holy

apostles and {prophets}; for God hath avenged you on her.

prophets And in her was found the blood of
{prophets},

and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

prophets And he said unto me, These sayings are]
faithful

and true: and the Lord God of the holy {prophets} sent his angel
to

show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

prophets Then saith he unto me, See thou do it] not:
for

I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the {prophets}, and
of

them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
