jacob And after that came his brother out, and his
hand
took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called {Jacob}: and
Isaac
[was] threescore years old when she bare them.
jacob And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning
hunter,
a man of the field; and {Jacob} [was] a plain man, dwelling in
tents.
jacob And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of
[his]
venison: but Rebekah loved {Jacob}.
jacob And {Jacob} sod pottage: and Esau came from the
field, and he [was] faint:
jacob And Esau said to {Jacob}, Feed me, I pray thee,
with that same red [pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his
name called Edom.
jacob And {Jacob} said, Sell me this day thy
birthright.
jacob And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he
sware
unto him: and he sold his birthright unto {Jacob}.
jacob And {Jacob} said, Swear to me this day; and he
sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
jacob Then {Jacob} gave Esau bread and pottage of
lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his
way:
thus Esau despised [his] birthright.
jacob And Rebekah spake unto {Jacob} her son, saying,
Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,
jacob And {Jacob} said to Rebekah his mother, Behold,
Esau my brother [is] a hairy man, and I [am] a smooth man:
jacob And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest
son
Esau, which [were] with her in the house, and put them upon
{Jacob}
her younger son:
jacob And she gave the savoury meat and the bread,
which
she had prepared, into the hand of her son {Jacob}.
jacob And {Jacob} said unto his father, I [am] Esau
thy
firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray
thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
jacob And Isaac said unto {Jacob}, Come near, I pray
thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou [be] my very son
Esau or not.
jacob And {Jacob} went near unto Isaac his father;
and
he felt him, and said, The voice [is] Jacob's voice, but the
hands
[are] the hands of Esau.
jacob And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made
an
end of blessing Jacob, and {Jacob} was yet scarce gone out from
the
presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from
his
hunting.
jacob And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made
an
end of blessing {Jacob}, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from
the
presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from
his
hunting.
jacob And he said, Is not he rightly named {Jacob}?
for
he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my
birthright;
and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said,
Hast
thou not reserved a blessing for me?
jacob And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing
wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The
days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my
brother {Jacob}.
jacob And Esau hated {Jacob} because of the blessing
wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The
days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my
brother Jacob.
jacob And these words of Esau her elder son were
told to
Rebekah: and she sent and called {Jacob} her younger son, and
said
unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth
comfort
himself, [purposing] to kill thee.
jacob And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my
life
because of the daughters of Heth: if {Jacob} take a wife of the
daughters of Heth, such as these [which are] of the daughters of
the
land, what good shall my life do me?
jacob And Isaac called {Jacob}, and blessed him, and
charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the
daughters of Canaan.
jacob And Isaac sent away {Jacob}: and he went to
Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of
Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.
jacob When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed {Jacob},
and
sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and
that
as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not
take
a wife of the daughters of Canaan;
jacob And that {Jacob} obeyed his father and his
mother,
and was gone to Padanaram;
jacob And {Jacob} went out from Beersheba, and went
toward Haran.
jacob And {Jacob} awaked out of his sleep, and he
said,
Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew [it] not.
jacob And {Jacob} rose up early in the morning, and
took
the stone that he had put [for] his pillows, and set it up [for]
a
pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
jacob And {Jacob} vowed a vow, saying, If God will be
with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me
bread to eat, and raiment to put on,
jacob Then {Jacob} went on his journey, and came into
the
land of the people of the east.
jacob And {Jacob} said unto them, My brethren, whence
[be] ye? And they said, Of Haran [are] we.
jacob And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the
daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban
his
mother's brother, that {Jacob} went near, and rolled the stone
from
the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mo
ther's brother.
jacob And it came to pass, when {Jacob} saw Rachel
the
daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban
his
mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from
the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mo
ther's brother.
jacob And {Jacob} kissed Rachel, and lifted up his
voice, and wept.
jacob And {Jacob} told Rachel that he [was] her
father's
brother, and that he [was] Rebekah's son: and she ran and told
her
father.
jacob And it came to pass, when Laban heard the
tidings
of {Jacob} his sister's son, that he ran to meet him, and
embraced
him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told
Laban
all these things.
jacob And Laban said unto {Jacob}, Because thou
[art] my
brother, shouldest thou therefore serve me for nought? tell me,
what
[shall] thy wages [be]?
jacob And {Jacob} loved Rachel; and said, I will
serve
thee seven years for Rachel thy younger daughter.
jacob And {Jacob} served seven years for Rachel; and
they seemed unto him [but] a few days, for the love he had to
her.
jacob And {Jacob} said unto Laban, Give [me] my wife,
for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.
jacob And {Jacob} did so, and fulfilled her week:
and he
gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
jacob And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no
children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto {Jacob}, Give
me
children, or else I die.
jacob And when Rachel saw that she bare {Jacob} no
children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me
children, or else I die.
jacob And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife:
and
{Jacob} went in unto her.
jacob And Bilhah conceived, and bare {Jacob} a son.
jacob And Bilhah Rachel's maid conceived again, and
bare
{Jacob} a second son.
jacob When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she
took
Zilpah her maid, and gave her {Jacob} to wife.
jacob And Zilpah Leah's maid bare {Jacob} a son.
jacob And Zilpah Leah's maid bare {Jacob} a second
son.
jacob And {Jacob} came out of the field in the
evening,
and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto
me;
for surely I have hired thee with my son's mandrakes. And he lay
with her that night.
jacob And God hearkened unto Leah, and she conceived,
and bare {Jacob} the fifth son.
jacob And Leah conceived again, and bare {Jacob} the
sixth son.
jacob And it came to pass, when Rachel had born
Joseph,
that {Jacob} said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto
mine
own place, and to my country.
jacob And he said, What shall I give thee? And
{Jacob}
said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this
thing
for me, I will again feed [and] keep thy flock.
jacob And he set three days' journey betwixt himself
and
{Jacob}: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks.
jacob And he set three days' journey betwixt himself
and
Jacob: and {Jacob} fed the rest of Laban's flocks.
jacob And {Jacob} took him rods of green poplar, and
of
the hazel and chestnut tree; and pilled white streaks in them,
and
made the white appear which [was] in the rods.
jacob And {Jacob} did separate the lambs, and set the
faces of the flocks toward the ringstreaked, and all the brown in
the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and
put
them not unto Laban's cattle.
jacob And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger
cattle did conceive, that {Jacob} laid the rods before the eyes
of
the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the
rods.
jacob And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying,
{Jacob} hath taken away all that [was] our father's; and of
[that]
which [was] our father's hath he gotten all this glory.
jacob And {Jacob} beheld the countenance of Laban,
and,
behold, it [was] not toward him as before.
jacob And the LORD said unto {Jacob}, Return unto the
land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.
jacob And {Jacob} sent and called Rachel and Leah to
the
field unto his flock,
jacob And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream,
[saying], {Jacob}: And I said, Here [am] I.
jacob Then {Jacob} rose up, and set his sons and his
wives upon camels;
jacob And {Jacob} stole away unawares to Laban the
Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.
jacob And it was told Laban on the third day that
{Jacob} was fled.
jacob And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by
night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to
{Jacob}
either good or bad.
jacob Then Laban overtook {Jacob}. Now Jacob had
pitched
his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the
mount of Gilead.
jacob Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now {Jacob} had
pitched
his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the
mount of Gilead.
jacob And Laban said to {Jacob}, What hast thou done,
that thou hast stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my
daughters, as captives [taken] with the sword?
jacob It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt:
but
the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take
thou
heed that thou speak not to {Jacob} either good or bad.
jacob And {Jacob} answered and said to Laban,
Because I
was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force
thy
daughters from me.
jacob With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him
not
live: before our brethren discern thou what [is] thine with me,
and
take [it] to thee. For {Jacob} knew not that Rachel had stolen
them.
jacob And Jacob was wroth, and chided with Laban: and
{Jacob} answered and said to Laban, What [is] my trespass? what
[is]
my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me?
jacob And {Jacob} was wroth, and chided with Laban:
and
Jacob answered and said to Laban, What [is] my trespass? what
[is]
my sin, that thou hast so hotly pursued after me?
jacob And Laban answered and said unto {Jacob},
[These]
daughters [are] my daughters, and [these] children [are] my
children, and [these] cattle [are] my cattle, and all that thou
seest [is] mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daugh
ters, or unto their children which they have born?
jacob And {Jacob} took a stone, and set it up [for] a
pillar.
jacob And {Jacob} said unto his brethren, Gather
stones;
and they took stones, and made an heap: and they did eat there
upon
the heap.
jacob And Laban called it Jegarsahadutha: but {Jacob}
called it Galeed.
jacob And Laban said to {Jacob}, Behold this heap,
and
behold [this] pillar, which I have cast betwixt me and thee;
jacob The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the
God
of their father, judge betwixt us. And {Jacob} sware by the fear
of
his father Isaac.
jacob Then {Jacob} offered sacrifice upon the mount,
and
called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and
tarried all night in the mount.
jacob And {Jacob} went on his way, and the angels of
God
met him.
jacob And when {Jacob} saw them, he said, This [is]
God's
host: and he called the name of that place Mahanaim.
jacob And {Jacob} sent messengers before him to Esau
his
brother unto the land of Seir, the country of Edom.
jacob And he commanded them, saying, Thus shall ye
speak
unto my lord Esau; Thy servant {Jacob} saith thus, I have
sojourned
with Laban, and stayed there until now:
jacob And the messengers returned to {Jacob}, saying,
We
came to thy brother Esau, and also he cometh to meet thee, and
four
hundred men with him.
jacob Then {Jacob} was greatly afraid and distressed:
and
he divided the people that [was] with him, and the flocks, and
herds, and the camels, into two bands;
jacob And {Jacob} said, O God of my father Abraham,
and
God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return
unto
thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee:
jacob And say ye moreover, Behold, thy servant
{Jacob}
[is] behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present
that goeth before me, and afterward I will see his face;
peradventure he will accept of me.
jacob And {Jacob} was left alone; and there wrestled
a
man with him until the breaking of the day.
jacob And he said unto him, What [is] thy name? And
he
said, {Jacob}.
jacob And he said, Thy name shall be called no more
{Jacob}, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and
with men, and hast prevailed.
jacob And {Jacob} asked [him], and said, Tell [me], I
pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore [is] it [that] thou
dost
ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
jacob And {Jacob} called the name of the place
Peniel:
for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
jacob And {Jacob} lifted up his eyes, and looked, and,
behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided
the
children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.
jacob And {Jacob} said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I
have
found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for
therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of
God, and thou wast pleased with me.
jacob And {Jacob} journeyed to Succoth, and built
him an
house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the
place is called Succoth.
jacob And {Jacob} came to Shalem, a city of Shechem,
which [is] in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram;
and
pitched his tent before the city.
jacob And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare
unto
{Jacob}, went out to see the daughters of the land.
jacob And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of
{Jacob}, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the
damsel.
jacob And Jacob heard that he had defiled Dinah his
daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and
{Jacob} held his peace until they were come.
jacob And {Jacob} heard that he had defiled Dinah his
daughter: now his sons were with his cattle in the field: and
Jacob
held his peace until they were come.
jacob And Hamor the father of Shechem went out unto
{Jacob} to commune with him.
jacob And the sons of {Jacob} came out of the field
when
they heard [it]: and the men were grieved, and they were very
wroth,
because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's
daughter; which thing ought not to be done.
jacob And the sons of {Jacob} answered Shechem and
Hamor
his father deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled Dinah
their
sister:
jacob And it came to pass on the third day, when they
were sore, that two of the sons of {Jacob}, Simeon and Levi,
Dinah's
brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly,
and slew all the males.
jacob The sons of {Jacob} came upon the slain, and
spoiled the city, because they had defiled their sister.
jacob And {Jacob} said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have
troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the
land,
among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I [being] few in
number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and s
lay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.
jacob And God said unto {Jacob}, Arise, go up to
Bethel,
and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared
unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
jacob Then {Jacob} said unto his household, and to all
that [were] with him, Put away the strange gods that [are] among
you, and be clean, and change your garments:
jacob And they gave unto {Jacob} all the strange gods
which [were] in their hand, and [all their] earrings which
[were] in
their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which [was] by
Shechem.
jacob And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods
which
[were] in their hand, and [all their] earrings which [were] in
their
ears; and {Jacob} hid them under the oak which [was] by Shechem.
jacob And they journeyed: and the terror of God was
upon
the cities that [were] round about them, and they did not pursue
after the sons of {Jacob}.
jacob So {Jacob} came to Luz, which [is] in the land
of
Canaan, that [is], Bethel, he and all the people that [were] with
him.
jacob And God appeared unto {Jacob} again, when he
came
out of Padanaram, and blessed him.
jacob And God said unto him, Thy name [is] Jacob: thy
name shall not be called any more {Jacob}, but Israel shall be
thy
name: and he called his name Israel.
jacob And God said unto him, Thy name [is] {Jacob}:
thy
name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy
name: and he called his name Israel.
jacob And {Jacob} set up a pillar in the place where
he
talked with him, [even] a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink
offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
jacob And {Jacob} called the name of the place where
God
spake with him, Bethel.
jacob And {Jacob} set a pillar upon her grave: that
[is]
the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day.
jacob And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that
land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's
concubine:
and Israel heard [it]. Now the sons of {Jacob} were twelve:
jacob And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's handmaid; Gad,
and
Asher: these [are] the sons of {Jacob}, which were born to him in
Padanaram.
jacob And {Jacob} came unto Isaac his father unto
Mamre,
unto the city of Arbah, which [is] Hebron, where Abraham and
Isaac
sojourned.
jacob And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was
gathered unto his people, [being] old and full of days: and his
sons
Esau and {Jacob} buried him.
jacob And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his
daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and
all
his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land
of
Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his
brother {Jacob}.
jacob And {Jacob} dwelt in the land wherein his father
was a stranger, in the land of Canaan.
jacob These [are] the generations of {Jacob}. Joseph,
[being] seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his
brethren; and the lad [was] with the sons of Bilhah, and with the
sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his
father their evil report.
jacob And {Jacob} rent his clothes, and put sackcloth
upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.
jacob Now when {Jacob} saw that there was corn in
Egypt,
Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?
jacob Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt,
{Jacob} said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?
jacob But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, {Jacob} sent not
with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall
him.
jacob And they came unto {Jacob} their father unto
the
land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying,
jacob And {Jacob} their father said unto them, Me
have
ye bereaved [of my children]: Joseph [is] not, and Simeon [is]
not,
and ye will take Benjamin [away]: all these things are against
me.
jacob And they went up out of Egypt, and came into
the
land of Canaan unto {Jacob} their father,
jacob And they told him all the words of Joseph,
which
he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph
had
sent to carry him, the spirit of {Jacob} their father revived:
jacob And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the
night, and said, Jacob, {Jacob}. And he said, Here [am] I.
jacob And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the
night, and said, {Jacob}, Jacob. And he said, Here [am] I.
jacob And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons
of
Israel carried {Jacob} their father, and their little ones, and
their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
jacob And {Jacob} rose up from Beersheba: and the
sons of
Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and
their
wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
jacob And they took their cattle, and their goods,
which
they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt,
{Jacob},
and all his seed with him:
jacob And these [are] the names of the children of
Israel, which came into Egypt, {Jacob} and his sons: Reuben,
Jacob's
firstborn.
jacob These [be] the sons of Leah, which she bare
unto
{Jacob} in Padanaram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of
his
sons and his daughters [were] thirty and three.
jacob These [are] the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban
gave to
Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto {Jacob}, [even]
sixteen
souls.
jacob These [are] the sons of Rachel, which were
born to
{Jacob}: all the souls [were] fourteen.
jacob These [are] the sons of Bilhah, which Laban
gave
unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto {Jacob}: all
the
souls [were] seven.
jacob All the souls that came with {Jacob} into
Egypt,
which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the
souls [were] threescore and six;
jacob And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in
Egypt, [were] two souls: all the souls of the house of {Jacob},
which came into Egypt, [were] threescore and ten.
jacob And Joseph brought in {Jacob} his father, and
set
him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.
jacob And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set
him
before Pharaoh: and {Jacob} blessed Pharaoh.
jacob And Pharaoh said unto {Jacob}, How old [art]
thou?
jacob And {Jacob} said unto Pharaoh, The days of the
years of my pilgrimage [are] an hundred and thirty years: few and
evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not
attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers i
n the days of their pilgrimage.
jacob And {Jacob} blessed Pharaoh, and went out from
before Pharaoh.
jacob And {Jacob} lived in the land of Egypt
seventeen
years: so the whole age of Jacob was an hundred forty and seven
years.
jacob And Jacob lived in the land of Egypt seventeen
years: so the whole age of {Jacob} was an hundred forty and seven
years.
jacob And [one] told {Jacob}, and said, Behold, thy
son
Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat
upon the bed.
jacob And {Jacob} said unto Joseph, God Almighty
appeared
unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,
jacob And {Jacob} called unto his sons, and said,
Gather
yourselves together, that I may tell you [that] which shall
befall
you in the last days.
jacob Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of
{Jacob}; and hearken unto Israel your father.
jacob Cursed [be] their anger, for [it was] fierce;
and
their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in {Jacob}, and
scatter them in Israel.
jacob But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of
his
hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty [God] of
{Jacob};
(from thence [is] the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
jacob And when {Jacob} had made an end of commanding
his
sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the
ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
jacob And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and
God
will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the
land
which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to {Jacob}.
jacob Now these [are] the names of the children of
Israel,
which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with
{Jacob}.
jacob And all the souls that came out of the loins of
{Jacob} were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt [already].
jacob And God heard their groaning, and God remembered
his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with {Jacob}.
jacob Moreover he said, I [am] the God of thy father,
the
God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of {Jacob}. And
Moses
hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
jacob And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt
thou
say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers,
the
God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of {Jacob}, hath
sent
me unto you: this [is] my name for ever, and this [is
] my memorial unto all generations.
jacob Go, and gather the elders of Israel together,
and
say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham,
of
Isaac, and of {Jacob}, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely
visited you, and [seen] that which is done to you in Egyp
t:
jacob That they may believe that the LORD God of their
fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of
{Jacob}, hath appeared unto thee.
jacob And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto
{Jacob}, by [the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH
was I
not known to them.
jacob And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning
the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to
{Jacob}; and I will give it you for an heritage: I [am] the LORD.
jacob And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called
unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the
house of {Jacob}, and tell the children of Israel;
jacob And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, [and] go
up
hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the
land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to
Isaac,
and to {Jacob}, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:
jacob Then will I remember my covenant with {Jacob},
and
also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham
will
I remember; and I will remember the land.
jacob And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the
king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of
the
east, [saying], Come, curse me {Jacob}, and come, defy Israel.
jacob Who can count the dust of {Jacob}, and the
number
of the fourth [part] of Israel? Let me die the death of the
righteous, and let my last end be like his!
jacob He hath not beheld iniquity in {Jacob}, neither
hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God [is] with
him,
and the shout of a king [is] among them.
jacob Surely [there is] no enchantment against
{Jacob},
neither [is there] any divination against Israel: according to
this
time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God
wrought!
jacob Surely [there is] no enchantment against Jacob,
neither [is there] any divination against Israel: according to
this
time it shall be said of {Jacob} and of Israel, What hath God
wrought!
jacob How goodly are thy tents, O {Jacob}, [and] thy
tabernacles, O Israel!
jacob I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold
him,
but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of {Jacob}, and a
Sceptre
shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab,
and
destroy all the children of Sheth.
jacob Out of {Jacob} shall come he that shall have
dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
jacob Surely none of the men that came up out of
Egypt,
from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I
sware
unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto {Jacob}; because they have not
wholly followed me:
jacob Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and
possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham,
Isaac, and {Jacob}, to give unto them and to their seed after
them.
jacob And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall
have
brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to
Abraham, to Isaac, and to {Jacob}, to give thee great and goodly
cities, which thou buildedst not,
jacob Not for thy righteousness, or for the
uprightness of
thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the
wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out
from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the
LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and {Jacob}.
jacob Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and
{Jacob};
look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their
wickedness, nor to their sin:
jacob That he may establish thee to day for a people
unto himself, and [that] he may be unto thee a God, as he hath
said
unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to
Isaac, and to {Jacob}.
jacob That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, [and]
that
thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him:
for he [is] thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou
mayest
dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathe
rs, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to {Jacob}, to give them.
jacob For the LORD'S portion [is] his people; {Jacob}
[is] the lot of his inheritance.
jacob Moses commanded us a law, [even] the
inheritance of
the congregation of {Jacob}.
jacob They shall teach {Jacob} thy judgments, and
Israel
thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt
sacrifice upon thine altar.
jacob Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the
fountain of {Jacob} [shall be] upon a land of corn and wine; also
his heavens shall drop down dew.
jacob And the LORD said unto him, This [is] the land
which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto {Jacob}, saying,
I
will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see [it] with
thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
jacob And I gave unto Isaac {Jacob} and Esau: and I
gave
unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it; but Jacob and his children
went
down into Egypt.
jacob And I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave
unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it; but {Jacob} and his children
went down into Egypt.
jacob And the bones of Joseph, which the children of
Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a
parcel
of ground which {Jacob} bought of the sons of Hamor the father of
Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became t
he inheritance of the children of Joseph.
jacob <1SA12 -8> When {Jacob} was come into Egypt, and your
fathers
cried unto the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which
brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in
this
place.
jacob <2SA23 -1> Now these [be] the last words of David. David
the
son of Jesse said, and the man [who was] raised up on high, the
anointed of the God of {Jacob}, and the sweet psalmist of Israel,
said,
jacob <1KI18 -31> And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the
number of the tribes of the sons of {Jacob}, unto whom the word
of
the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:
jacob <2KI13 -23> And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had
compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his
covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and {Jacob}, and would not destroy
them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.
jacob <2KI17 -34> Unto this day they do after the former manners:
they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or
after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which
the
LORD commanded the children of {Jacob}, whom he named Isr
ael;
jacob <1CH16 -13> O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of
{Jacob}, his chosen ones.
jacob <1CH16 -17> And hath confirmed the same to {Jacob} for a
law,
[and] to Israel [for] an everlasting covenant,
jacob Oh that the salvation of Israel [were come] out
of
Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people,
{Jacob} shall rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
jacob To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The
LORD
hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of {Jacob}
defend thee;
jacob Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the
seed
of {Jacob}, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
jacob This [is] the generation of them that seek him,
that seek thy face, O {Jacob}. Selah.
jacob Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances
for
{Jacob}.
jacob The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of
{Jacob}
[is] our refuge. Selah.
jacob The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of
{Jacob}
[is] our refuge. Selah.
jacob He shall choose our inheritance for us, the
excellency of {Jacob} whom he loved. Selah.
jacob Oh that the salvation of Israel [were come] out
of
Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, {Jacob}
shall rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
jacob Consume [them] in wrath, consume [them], that
they
[may] not [be]: and let them know that God ruleth in {Jacob} unto
the ends of the earth. Selah.
jacob But I will declare for ever; I will sing
praises to
the God of {Jacob}.
jacob At thy rebuke, O God of {Jacob}, both the
chariot
and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
jacob Thou hast with [thine] arm redeemed thy people,
the sons of {Jacob} and Joseph. Selah.
jacob For he established a testimony in {Jacob}, and
appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that
they
should make them known to their children:
jacob Therefore the LORD heard [this], and was wroth:
so
a fire was kindled against {Jacob}, and anger also came up
against
Israel;
jacob From following the ewes great with young he
brought him to feed {Jacob} his people, and Israel his
inheritance.
jacob For they have devoured {Jacob}, and laid waste
his
dwelling place.
jacob To the chief Musician upon Gittith, [A Psalm] of
Asaph. Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto
the God of {Jacob}.
jacob For this [was] a statute for Israel, [and] a
law of
the God of {Jacob}.
jacob O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O
God of {Jacob}. Selah.
jacob To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of
Korah. LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast
brought back the captivity of {Jacob}.
jacob The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all
the
dwellings of {Jacob}.
jacob Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither
shall
the God of {Jacob} regard [it].
jacob The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou
dost
establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in
{Jacob}.
jacob O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children
of
{Jacob} his chosen.
jacob And confirmed the same unto {Jacob} for a law,
[and] to Israel [for] an everlasting covenant:
jacob Israel also came into Egypt; and {Jacob}
sojourned in the land of Ham.
jacob When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of
{Jacob} from a people of strange language;
jacob Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the
Lord,
at the presence of the God of {Jacob};
jacob How he sware unto the LORD, [and] vowed unto
the
mighty [God] of {Jacob};
jacob Until I find out a place for the LORD, an
habitation for the mighty [God] of {Jacob}.
jacob For the LORD hath chosen {Jacob} unto himself,
[and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.
jacob Happy [is he] that [hath] the God of {Jacob}
for
his help, whose hope [is] in the LORD his God:
jacob He showeth his word unto {Jacob}, his statutes
and his judgments unto Israel.
jacob And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and
let
us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of
{Jacob}; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in
his
paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the w
ord of the LORD from Jerusalem.
jacob O house of {Jacob}, come ye, and let us walk in
the
light of the LORD.
jacob Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the
house of
{Jacob}, because they be replenished from the east, and [are]
soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in
the
children of strangers.
jacob And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his
face
from the house of {Jacob}, and I will look for him.
jacob The Lord sent a word into {Jacob}, and it hath
lighted upon Israel.
jacob And it shall come to pass in that day, [that]
the
remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of
{Jacob},
shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay
upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
jacob The remnant shall return, [even] the remnant of
{Jacob}, unto the mighty God.
jacob For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will
yet
choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers
shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of
{Jacob}.
jacob For the LORD will have mercy on {Jacob}, and
will
yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the
strangers
shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of
Jacob.
jacob And in that day it shall come to pass, [that]
the
glory of {Jacob} shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh
shall wax lean.
jacob He shall cause them that come of {Jacob} to take
root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the
world
with fruit.
jacob By this therefore shall the iniquity of {Jacob}
be
purged; and this [is] all the fruit to take away his sin; when he
maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are
beaten in
sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.
jacob Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed
Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, {Jacob} shall not now be
ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
jacob Therefore thus saith the LORD, who redeemed
Abraham, concerning the house of {Jacob}, Jacob shall not now be
ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.
jacob But when he seeth his children, the work of
mine
hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and
sanctify the Holy One of {Jacob}, and shall fear the God of
Israel.
jacob Why sayest thou, O {Jacob}, and speakest, O
Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed
over
from my God?
jacob But thou, Israel, [art] my servant, {Jacob}
whom I
have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
jacob Fear not, thou worm {Jacob}, [and] ye men of
Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the
Holy
One of Israel.
jacob Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth
your strong [reasons], saith the King of {Jacob}.
jacob Who gave {Jacob} for a spoil, and Israel to the
