inhabitants And he overthrew those cities, and all
the

plain, and all the {inhabitants} of the cities, and that which
grew

upon the ground.

inhabitants And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye
have

troubled me to make me to stink among the {inhabitants} of the
land,

among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I [being] few in

number, they shall gather themselves together against me,

and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.

inhabitants And when the {inhabitants} of the land,
the

Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said,
This

[is] a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of
it

was called Abelmizraim, which [is] beyond Jordan.

inhabitants The people shall hear, [and] be afraid:

sorrow shall take hold on the {inhabitants} of Palestina.

inhabitants Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed;
the

mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the

{inhabitants} of Canaan shall melt away.

inhabitants And I will set thy bounds from the Red
sea

even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto
the

river: for I will deliver the {inhabitants} of the land into your

hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

inhabitants Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a

covenant with the {inhabitants} of the land whither thou goest,
lest

it be for a snare in the midst of thee:

inhabitants Lest thou make a covenant with the

{inhabitants} of the land, and they go a whoring after their
gods,

and do sacrifice unto their gods, and [one] call thee, and thou
eat

of his sacrifice;

inhabitants And the land is defiled: therefore I do

visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth
out

her {inhabitants}.

inhabitants And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year,
and

proclaim liberty throughout [all] the land unto all the

{inhabitants} thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye
shall

return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every

man unto his family.

inhabitants And they brought up an evil report of the

land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying,

The land, through which we have gone to search it, [is] a land
that

eateth up the {inhabitants} thereof; and all the people

that we saw in it [are] men of a great stature.

inhabitants And they will tell [it] to the
{inhabitants}

of this land: [for] they have heard that thou LORD [art] among
this

people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and [that] thy
cloud

standeth over them, and [that] thou goest before th

em, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire
by

night.

inhabitants But we ourselves will go ready armed
before

the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their
place:

and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of
the

{inhabitants} of the land.

inhabitants Then ye shall drive out all the

{inhabitants} of the land from before you, and destroy all their

pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck
down

all their high places:

inhabitants And ye shall dispossess [the
{inhabitants}

of] the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to

possess it.

inhabitants But if ye will not drive out the

{inhabitants} of the land from before you; then it shall come to

pass, that those which ye let remain of them [shall be] pricks in

your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the
land

wherein ye dwell.

inhabitants Certain] men, the children of Belial, are

gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the {inhabitants} of

their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have

not known;

inhabitants Thou shalt surely smite the
{inhabitants} of

that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and
all

that [is] therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the

sword.

inhabitants And she said unto the men, I know that the

LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon

us, and that all the {inhabitants} of the land faint because of
you.

inhabitants And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD

hath delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the

{inhabitants} of the country do faint because of us.

inhabitants For the Canaanites and all the
{inhabitants}

of the land shall hear [of it], and shall environ us round, and
cut

off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great

name?

inhabitants And it came to pass, when Israel had made
an

end of slaying all the {inhabitants} of Ai in the field, in the

wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all
fallen

on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that

all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge
of

the sword.

inhabitants For Joshua drew not his hand back,
wherewith

he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all
the

{inhabitants} of Ai.

inhabitants And when the {inhabitants} of Gibeon heard

what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,

inhabitants Wherefore our elders and all the

{inhabitants} of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals
with

you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We

[are] your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.

inhabitants And they answered Joshua, and said,
Because

it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God

commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to
destroy

all the {inhabitants} of the land from before you, theref

ore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have
done

this thing.

inhabitants Now it came to pass, when Adonizedek king
of

Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly

destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had
done

to Ai and her king; and how the {inhabitants} of Gibeon h

ad made peace with Israel, and were among them;

inhabitants There was not a city that made peace with

the children of Israel, save the Hivites the {inhabitants} of

Gibeon: all [other] they took in battle.

inhabitants All the {inhabitants} of the hill country

from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, [and] all the Sidonians, them
will

I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou
it

by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I h

ave commanded thee.

inhabitants And he went up thence to the
{inhabitants}

of Debir: and the name of Debir before [was] Kirjathsepher.

inhabitants As for the Jebusites the {inhabitants} of

Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but
the

Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this

day.

inhabitants And the coast of Manasseh was from Asher
to

Michmethah, that [lieth] before Shechem; and the border went
along

on the right hand unto the {inhabitants} of Entappuah.

inhabitants And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher

Bethshean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the

inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Endor
and

her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and th

e {inhabitants} of Megiddo and her towns, [even] three countries.

inhabitants And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher

Bethshean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the

inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the {inhabitants} of Endor
and

her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and

the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, [even] three countries.

inhabitants And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher

Bethshean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the

{inhabitants} of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Endor
and

her towns, and the inhabitants of Taanach and her towns, and

the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, [even] three countries.

inhabitants And Manasseh had in Issachar and in Asher

Bethshean and her towns, and Ibleam and her towns, and the

inhabitants of Dor and her towns, and the inhabitants of Endor
and

her towns, and the {inhabitants} of Taanach and her towns, and

the inhabitants of Megiddo and her towns, [even] three countries.

inhabitants Yet the children of Manasseh could not
drive

out [the {inhabitants} of] those cities; but the Canaanites would

dwell in that land.

inhabitants And from thence he went against the

{inhabitants} of Debir: and the name of Debir before [was]

Kirjathsepher:

inhabitants And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave
out

[the {inhabitants} of] the mountain; but could not drive out the

inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

inhabitants And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave
out

[the inhabitants of] the mountain; but could not drive out the

{inhabitants} of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

inhabitants Neither did Manasseh drive out [the

inhabitants of] Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach and her
towns,

nor the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, nor the inhabitants of

Ibleam and her towns, nor the {inhabitants} of Megiddo and her

towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

inhabitants Neither did Manasseh drive out [the

inhabitants of] Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach and her
towns,

nor the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, nor the {inhabitants}
of

Ibleam and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and her

towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

{inhabitants} of] Bethshean and her towns, nor Taanach and her

towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and her towns, nor the
inhabitants

of Ibleam and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and her

towns,

nor the {inhabitants} of Dor and her towns, nor the inhabitants
of

Ibleam and her towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and her

towns: but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

inhabitants Neither did Zebulun drive out the

{inhabitants} of Kitron, nor the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the

Canaanites dwelt among them, and became tributaries.

inhabitants Neither did Zebulun drive out the
inhabitants

of Kitron, nor the {inhabitants} of Nahalol; but the Canaanites

dwelt among them, and became tributaries.

inhabitants Neither did Asher drive out the
{inhabitants}

of Accho, nor the inhabitants of Zidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of
Achzib,

nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob:

inhabitants Neither did Asher drive out the
inhabitants

of Accho, nor the {inhabitants} of Zidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of

Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob:

inhabitants But the Asherites dwelt among the
Canaanites,

the {inhabitants} of the land: for they did not drive them out.

inhabitants Neither did Naphtali drive out the

inhabitants of Bethshemesh, nor the inhabitants of Bethanath;
but he

dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land:

nevertheless the {inhabitants} of Bethshemesh and of Bethanath

became t

ributaries unto them.

inhabitants Neither did Naphtali drive out the

inhabitants of Bethshemesh, nor the inhabitants of Bethanath;
but he

dwelt among the Canaanites, the {inhabitants} of the land:

nevertheless the inhabitants of Bethshemesh and of Bethanath
became

t

ributaries unto them.

inhabitants Neither did Naphtali drive out the

{inhabitants} of Bethshemesh, nor the inhabitants of Bethanath;
but

he dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land:

nevertheless the inhabitants of Bethshemesh and of Bethanath
became

t

ributaries unto them.

inhabitants Neither did Naphtali drive out the

inhabitants of Bethshemesh, nor the {inhabitants} of Bethanath;
but

he dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land:

nevertheless the inhabitants of Bethshemesh and of Bethanath
became

t

ributaries unto them.

inhabitants And ye shall make no league with the

{inhabitants} of this land; ye shall throw down their altars:
but ye

have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?

inhabitants [The {inhabitants} of] the villages ceased,

they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a

mother in Israel.

inhabitants [They that are delivered] from the noise
of

archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse

the righteous acts of the LORD, [even] the righteous acts [toward

the {inhabitants}] of his villages in Israel: then shall

the people of the LORD go down to the gates.

inhabitants Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the
LORD,

curse ye bitterly the {inhabitants} thereof; because they came
not

to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the
mighty.

inhabitants And the people [and] princes of Gilead
said

one to another, What man [is he] that will begin to fight against

the children of Ammon? he shall be head over all the
{inhabitants}

of Gilead.

inhabitants And the elders of Gilead said unto
Jephthah,

Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou mayest go with us,

and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all

the {inhabitants} of Gilead.

inhabitants And the LORD God of Israel delivered
Sihon

and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they smote them:
so

Israel possessed all the land of the Amorites, the {inhabitants}
of

that country.

inhabitants And the children of Benjamin were
numbered

at that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that
drew

sword, beside the {inhabitants} of Gibeah, which were numbered
seven

hundred chosen men.

inhabitants For the people were numbered, and, behold,

[there were] none of the {inhabitants} of Jabeshgilead there.

inhabitants And the congregation sent thither twelve

thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go
and

smite the {inhabitants} of Jabeshgilead with the edge of the
sword,

with the women and the children.

inhabitants And they found among the {inhabitants} of

Jabeshgilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by

lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to
Shiloh,

which [is] in the land of Canaan.

inhabitants And I thought to advertise thee, saying,
Buy

[it] before the {inhabitants}, and before the elders of my
people.

If thou wilt redeem [it], redeem [it]: but if thou wilt not
redeem

[it, then] tell me, that I may know: for [there is] no

ne to redeem [it] beside thee; and I [am] after thee. And he
said, I

will redeem [it].

inhabitants <1SA6 -21> And they sent messengers to the
{inhabitants}

of Kirjathjearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the
ark

of the LORD; come ye down, [and] fetch it up to you.

inhabitants <1SA23 -5> So David and his men went to Keilah, and

fought with the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and

smote them with a great slaughter. So David saved the
{inhabitants}

of Keilah.

inhabitants <1SA27 -8> And David and his men went up, and invaded

the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those

[nations were] of old the {inhabitants} of the land, as thou
goest

to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.

inhabitants <1SA31 -11> And when the {inhabitants} of
Jabeshgilead

heard of that which the Philistines had done to Saul;

inhabitants <2SA5 -6> And the king and his men went to Jerusalem

unto the Jebusites, the {inhabitants} of the land: which spake
unto

David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou

shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in

hither.

inhabitants <1KI17 -1> And Elijah the Tishbite, [who was] of the

{inhabitants} of Gilead, said unto Ahab, [As] the LORD God of
Israel

liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain
these

years, but according to my word.

inhabitants <1KI21 -11> And the men of his city, [even] the
elders

and the nobles who were the {inhabitants} in his city, did as

Jezebel had sent unto them, [and] as it [was] written in the
letters

which she had sent unto them.

inhabitants <2KI19 -26> Therefore their {inhabitants} were of
small

power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were [as] the
grass

of the field, and [as] the green herb, [as] the grass on the
house

tops, and [as corn] blasted before it be grown up.

inhabitants <2KI22 -16> Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring

evil upon this place, and upon the {inhabitants} thereof, [even]
all

the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:

inhabitants <2KI22 -19> Because thine heart was tender, and thou

hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I

spake against this place, and against the {inhabitants} thereof,

that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast re

nt thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard [thee],
saith

the LORD.

inhabitants <2KI23 -2> And the king went up into the house of the

LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the {inhabitants} of

Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all
the

people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all th

e words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house
of

the LORD.

inhabitants <1CH8 -6> And these [are] the sons of Ehud: these are

the heads of the fathers of the {inhabitants} of Geba, and they

removed them to Manahath:

inhabitants <1CH8 -13> Beriah also, and Shema, who [were] heads
of

the fathers of the {inhabitants} of Aijalon, who drove away the

inhabitants of Gath:

inhabitants <1CH8 -13> Beriah also, and Shema, who [were] heads
of

the fathers of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who drove away the

{inhabitants} of Gath:

inhabitants <1CH9 -2> Now the first {inhabitants} that [dwelt] in

their possessions in their cities [were], the Israelites, the

priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.

inhabitants <1CH11 -4> And David and all Israel went to
Jerusalem,

which [is] Jebus; where the Jebusites [were], the {inhabitants}
of

the land.

inhabitants <1CH11 -5> And the {inhabitants} of Jebus said to
David,

Thou shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the castle of

Zion, which [is] the city of David.

inhabitants <1CH22 -18> Is] not the LORD your God with you? and
hath

he [not] given you rest on every side? for he hath given the

{inhabitants} of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued

before the LORD, and before his people.

inhabitants <2CH15 -5> And in those times [there was] no peace to

him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations

[were] upon all the {inhabitants} of the countries.

inhabitants <2CH20 -7> Art] not thou our God, [who] didst drive
out

the {inhabitants} of this land before thy people Israel, and
gavest

it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

inhabitants <2CH20 -15> And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and
ye

{inhabitants} of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith

the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this

great multitude; for the battle [is] not yours, but God's.

inhabitants <2CH20 -18> And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with [his]

face to the ground: and all Judah and the {inhabitants} of
Jerusalem

fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

inhabitants <2CH20 -20> And they rose early in the morning, and
went

forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth,

Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye
{inhabitants}

of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be

established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

inhabitants <2CH20 -23> For the children of Ammon and Moab stood
up

against the {inhabitants} of mount Seir, utterly to slay and
destroy

[them]: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir,

every one helped to destroy another.

inhabitants <2CH20 -23> For the children of Ammon and Moab stood
up

against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and
destroy

[them]: and when they had made an end of the {inhabitants} of
Seir,

every one helped to destroy another.

inhabitants <2CH21 -11> Moreover he made high places in the

mountains of Judah, and caused the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem to

commit fornication, and compelled Judah [thereto].

inhabitants <2CH21 -13> But hast walked in the way of the kings
of

Israel, and hast made Judah and the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem
to go

a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also
hast

slain thy brethren of thy father's house, [which w

ere] better than thyself:

inhabitants <2CH22 -1> And the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem made

Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men
that

came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So

Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.

inhabitants <2CH32 -22> Thus the LORD saved Hezekiah and the

{inhabitants} of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king
of

Assyria, and from the hand of all [other], and guided them on
every

side.

inhabitants <2CH32 -26> Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself
for

the pride of his heart, [both] he and the {inhabitants} of

Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in
the

days of Hezekiah.

inhabitants <2CH32 -33> And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and

they buried him in the chiefest of the sepulchres of the sons of

David: and all Judah and the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem did him

honour at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his stea

d.

inhabitants <2CH33 -9> So Manasseh made Judah and the
{inhabitants}

of Jerusalem to err, [and] to do worse than the heathen, whom the

LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.

inhabitants <2CH34 -24> Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring

evil upon this place, and upon the {inhabitants} thereof, [even]
all

the curses that are written in the book which they have read
before

the king of Judah:

inhabitants <2CH34 -27> Because thine heart was tender, and thou

didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words

against this place, and against the {inhabitants} thereof, and

humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep

before me; I have even heard [thee] also, saith the LORD.

inhabitants <2CH34 -28> Behold, I will gather thee to thy
fathers,

and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace, neither shall

thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place,
and

upon the {inhabitants} of the same. So they brought the k

ing word again.

inhabitants <2CH34 -30> And the king went up into the house of
the

LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the {inhabitants} of
Jerusalem,

and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great and

small: and he read in their ears all the words of the bo

ok of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD.

inhabitants <2CH34 -32> And he caused all that were present in

Jerusalem and Benjamin to stand [to it]. And the {inhabitants} of

Jerusalem did according to the covenant of God, the God of their

fathers.

inhabitants <2CH35 -18> And there was no passover like to that
kept

in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all
the

kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the

priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that wer

e present, and the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem.

inhabitants And in the reign of Ahasuerus, in the

beginning of his reign, wrote they [unto him] an accusation
against

the {inhabitants} of Judah and Jerusalem.

inhabitants The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the

{inhabitants} of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors

thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand

cubits on the wall unto the dung gate.

inhabitants And I said unto them, Let not the gates of

Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand
by,

let them shut the doors, and bar [them]: and appoint watches of
the

{inhabitants} of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and

every one [to be] over against his house.

inhabitants So the children went in and possessed the

land, and thou subduedst before them the {inhabitants} of the
land,

the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their
kings,

and the people of the land, that they might do with th

em as they would.

inhabitants Dead [things] are formed from under the

waters, and the {inhabitants} thereof.

inhabitants Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all
the

{inhabitants} of the world stand in awe of him.

inhabitants From the place of his habitation he
looketh

upon all the {inhabitants} of the earth.

inhabitants To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the
sons

of Korah. Hear this, all [ye] people; give ear, all [ye]

{inhabitants} of the world:

inhabitants The earth and all the {inhabitants}
thereof

are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

inhabitants Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the
Philistines

with the {inhabitants} of Tyre;

inhabitants And now, O {inhabitants} of Jerusalem, and
men

of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

inhabitants And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a

stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses
of

Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the {inhabitants} of
Jerusalem.

inhabitants For he saith, By the strength of my hand
I

have done [it], and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have

removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their
treasures,

and I have put down the {inhabitants} like a valiant [man]

:

inhabitants Madmenah is removed; the {inhabitants} of

Gebim gather themselves to flee.

inhabitants All ye {inhabitants} of the world, and

dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on
the

mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.

inhabitants The {inhabitants} of the land of Tema

brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their

bread him that fled.

inhabitants And I will clothe him with thy robe, and

strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government

into his hand: and he shall be a father to the {inhabitants} of

Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.

inhabitants Be still, ye {inhabitants} of the isle;
thou

whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have

replenished.

inhabitants Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye

{inhabitants} of the isle.

inhabitants Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty,
and

maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth
abroad

the {inhabitants} thereof.

inhabitants The earth also is defiled under the

{inhabitants} thereof; because they have transgressed the laws,

changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

inhabitants Therefore hath the curse devoured the
earth,

and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the

{inhabitants} of the earth are burned, and few men left.

inhabitants With my soul have I desired thee in the

night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for

when thy judgments [are] in the earth, the {inhabitants} of the

world will learn righteousness.

inhabitants We have been with child, we have been in

pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought
any

deliverance in the earth; neither have the {inhabitants} of the

world fallen.

inhabitants For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his

place to punish the {inhabitants} of the earth for their
iniquity:

the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover
her

slain.

inhabitants Therefore their {inhabitants} [were] of

small power, they were dismayed and confounded: they were [as]
the

grass of the field, and [as] the green herb, [as] the grass on
the

housetops, and [as corn] blasted before it be grown up.

inhabitants I said, I shall not see the LORD, [even]
the

LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with
the

{inhabitants} of the world.

inhabitants It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of

the earth, and the {inhabitants} thereof [are] as grasshoppers;
that

stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out
as a

tent to dwell in:

inhabitants Sing unto the LORD a new song, [and] his

praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and

all that is therein; the isles, and the {inhabitants} thereof.

inhabitants Let the wilderness and the cities thereof

lift up [their voice], the villages [that] Kedar doth inhabit:
let

the {inhabitants} of the rock sing, let them shout from the top
of

the mountains.

inhabitants For thy waste and thy desolate places,
and

the land of thy destruction, shall even now be too narrow by
reason

of the {inhabitants}, and they that swallowed thee up shall be
far

away.

inhabitants Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the
north

an evil shall break forth upon all the {inhabitants} of the land.

inhabitants Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take

away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and
{inhabitants}

of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that
none

can quench [it], because of the evil of your doings.

inhabitants And their houses shall be turned unto
others,

[with their] fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my

hand upon the {inhabitants} of the land, saith the LORD.

inhabitants At that time, saith the LORD, they shall
bring

out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his
princes,

and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and
the

bones of the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem, out of th

eir graves:

inhabitants For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will

sling out the {inhabitants} of the land at this once, and will

distress them, that they may find [it so].

inhabitants Hear ye the words of this covenant, and
speak

unto the men of Judah, and to the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem;

inhabitants And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is

found among the men of Judah, and among the {inhabitants} of

Jerusalem.

inhabitants Then shall the cities of Judah and

{inhabitants} of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom
they

offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of

their trouble.

inhabitants Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith

the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the {inhabitants} of this land,

even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and

the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with

drunkenness.

inhabitants Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith

the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land,
even

the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the

prophets, and all the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem, with

drunkenness.

inhabitants And say unto them, Hear ye the word of
the

LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the
{inhabitants} of

Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:

inhabitants Then shall there enter into the gates of

this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David,
riding

in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of

Judah, and the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem: and this city s

hall remain for ever.

inhabitants Now therefore go to, speak to the men of

Judah, and to the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith
the

LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device
against

you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and m

ake your ways and your doings good.

inhabitants And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O

kings of Judah, and {inhabitants} of Jerusalem; Thus saith the
LORD

of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this

place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle.

inhabitants Thus will I do unto this place, saith the

LORD, and to the {inhabitants} thereof, and [even] make this
city as

Tophet:

inhabitants And I will smite the {inhabitants} of this

city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.

inhabitants I have seen also in the prophets of

Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in
lies:

they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth
return

from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom,

and the {inhabitants} thereof as Gomorrah.

inhabitants The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto
all

the people of Judah, and to all the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem,

saying,

inhabitants Behold, I will send and take all the
families

of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of

Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and

against the {inhabitants} thereof, and against all these nati

ons round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an

astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.

inhabitants For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the
city

which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished?
Ye

shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the

{inhabitants} of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.

inhabitants Therefore prophesy thou against them all

these words, and say unto them, The LORD shall roar from on high,

and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily
roar

upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they tha

t tread [the grapes], against all the {inhabitants} of the earth.

inhabitants But know ye for certain, that if ye put
me

to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves,
and

upon this city, and upon the {inhabitants} thereof: for of a
truth

the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these wor

ds in your ears.

inhabitants Because of all the evil of the children
of

Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to
provoke

me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and

their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the {inhabi

tants} of Jerusalem.

inhabitants Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of

Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the {inhabitants} of

Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my
words?

saith the LORD.

inhabitants Therefore thus saith the LORD God of
hosts,

the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all
the

{inhabitants} of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced

against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they

have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not

answered.

inhabitants And I will punish him and his seed and
his

servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon

the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all
the

evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hear

kened not.

inhabitants For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the
God of

Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the

{inhabitants} of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon

you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be a

n execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach;
and

ye shall see this place no more.

inhabitants Egypt riseth up like a flood, and [his]

waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up,
[and]

will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the
{inhabitants}

thereof.

inhabitants Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise
up

out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall

overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them
that

dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the {inhab

itants} of the land shall howl.

inhabitants Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O

{inhabitants} of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau
upon

him, the time [that] I will visit him.

inhabitants Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD,
that

he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath
purposed

against the {inhabitants} of Teman: Surely the least of the flock

shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habi

tations desolate with them.

inhabitants Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye

{inhabitants} of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king
of

Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a
purpose

against you.

inhabitants Go up against the land of Merathaim,
[even]

against it, and against the {inhabitants} of Pekod: waste and

utterly destroy after them, saith the LORD, and do according to
all

that I have commanded thee.

inhabitants Their Redeemer [is] strong; the LORD of

hosts [is] his name: he shall thoroughly plead their cause, that
he

may give rest to the land, and disquiet the {inhabitants} of

Babylon.

inhabitants A sword [is] upon the Chaldeans, saith
the

LORD, and upon the {inhabitants} of Babylon, and upon her
princes,

and upon her wise [men].

inhabitants Set up the standard upon the walls of

Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the

ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he

spake against the {inhabitants} of Babylon.

inhabitants And I will render unto Babylon and to all

the {inhabitants} of Chaldea all their evil that they have done
in

Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.

inhabitants The violence done to me and to my flesh
[be]

upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon

the {inhabitants} of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.

inhabitants The kings of the earth, and all the

{inhabitants} of the world, would not have believed that the

adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of

Jerusalem.

inhabitants Son of man, thy brethren, [even] thy

brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel

wholly, [are] they unto whom the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem have

said, Get you far from the LORD: unto us is this land given in
poss

ession.

inhabitants And say unto the people of the land, Thus

saith the Lord GOD of the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem, [and] of
the

land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and

drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be

desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of
all

them that dwell therein.

inhabitants Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the

vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to
the

fire for fuel, so will I give the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem.

inhabitants And they shall take up a lamentation for

thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, [that wast]
inhabited

of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the
sea,

she and her {inhabitants}, which cause their terror [t

o be] on all that haunt it!

inhabitants The {inhabitants} of Zidon and Arvad were
thy

mariners: thy wise [men], O Tyrus, [that] were in thee, were thy

pilots.

inhabitants All the {inhabitants} of the isles shall
be

astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they
shall

be troubled in [their] countenance.

inhabitants And all the {inhabitants} of Egypt shall
know

that I [am] the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to
the

house of Israel.

inhabitants And all the {inhabitants} of the earth
[are]

reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the
army

of heaven, and [among] the inhabitants of the earth: and none can

stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

inhabitants And all the inhabitants of the earth [are]

reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the
army

of heaven, and [among] the {inhabitants} of the earth: and none
can

stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

inhabitants O Lord, righteousness [belongeth] unto
thee,

but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of
Judah,

and to the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, [that

are] near, and [that are] far off, through all the co

untries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass

that they have trespassed against thee.

inhabitants Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of

Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the {inhabitants} of

the land, because [there is] no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge
of

God in the land.

inhabitants The {inhabitants} of Samaria shall fear

because of the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall

mourn over it, and the priests thereof [that] rejoiced on it, for

the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.

inhabitants Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye

{inhabitants} of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even
in

the days of your fathers?

inhabitants Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn
assembly,

gather the elders [and] all the {inhabitants} of the land [into]
the

house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD.

inhabitants Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an

alarm in my holy mountain: let all the {inhabitants} of the land

tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for [it is] nigh at
hand;

inhabitants For the rich men thereof are full of

violence, and the {inhabitants} thereof have spoken lies, and
their

tongue [is] deceitful in their mouth.

inhabitants For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all

the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels;
that

I should make thee a desolation, and the {inhabitants} thereof an

hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my peo

ple.

inhabitants I will also stretch out mine hand upon
Judah,

and upon all the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem; and I will cut off
the

remnant of Baal from this place, [and] the name of the Chemarims

with the priests;

inhabitants Howl, ye {inhabitants} of Maktesh, for all

the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are
cut

off.

inhabitants Woe unto the {inhabitants} of the sea
coast,

the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD [is] against

you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy

thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

inhabitants Thus saith the LORD of hosts; [It shall]
yet

[come to pass], that there shall come people, and the
{inhabitants}

of many cities:

inhabitants And the {inhabitants} of one [city] shall
go

to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD,
and

to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

inhabitants For I will no more pity the {inhabitants}
of

the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every
one

into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and
they

shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will n

ot deliver [them].

inhabitants And the governors of Judah shall say in
their

heart, The {inhabitants} of Jerusalem [shall be] my strength in
the

LORD of hosts their God.

inhabitants The LORD also shall save the tents of
Judah

first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the

{inhabitants} of Jerusalem do not magnify [themselves] against

Judah.

inhabitants In that day shall the LORD defend the

{inhabitants} of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at
that

day shall be as David; and the house of David [shall be] as God,
as

the angel of the LORD before them.

inhabitants And I will pour upon the house of David,
and

upon the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of

supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have
pierced,

and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his]

only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is
in

bitterness for [his] firstborn.

inhabitants In that day there shall be a fountain
opened

to the house of David and to the {inhabitants} of Jerusalem for
sin

and for uncleanness.

inhabitants With whom the kings of the earth have

committed fornication, and the {inhabitants} of the earth have
been

made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
