hiss <1KI9 -8> And at this house, [which] is high, every one
that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall {hiss}; and
they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and
to this house?
hiss Men] shall clap their hands at him, and shall
{hiss} him out of his place.
hiss And he will lift up an ensign to the nations
from far, and will {hiss} unto them from the end of the earth:
and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:
hiss And it shall come to pass in that day, [that]
the LORD shall {hiss} for the fly that [is] in the uttermost
part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that [is] in the
land of Assyria.
hiss And I will make this city desolate, and an
hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and
{hiss} because of all the plagues thereof.
hiss Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that
goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall {hiss} at all the
plagues thereof.
hiss Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not
be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that
goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and {hiss} at all her
plagues.
hiss All that pass by clap [their] hands at thee;
they {hiss} and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem,
[saying, Is] this the city that [men] call The perfection of
beauty, The joy of the whole earth?
hiss All thine enemies have opened their mouth
against thee: they {hiss} and gnash the teeth: they say, We have
swallowed [her] up: certainly this [is] the day that we looked
for; we have found, we have seen [it].
hiss The merchants among the people shall {hiss} at
thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never [shalt be] any more.
hiss This [is] the rejoicing city that dwelt
carelessly, that said in her heart, I [am], and [there is] none
beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to
lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall {hiss}, [and]
wag his
hand.
hiss I will {hiss} for them, and gather them; for I
have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have
increased.
