afflict And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that

thy seed shall be a stranger in a land [that is] not theirs, and

shall serve them; and they shall {afflict} them four hundred
years;

afflict If thou shalt {afflict} my daughters, or if
thou

shalt take [other] wives beside my daughters, no man [is] with
us;

see, God [is] witness betwixt me and thee.

afflict Therefore they did set over them taskmasters
to

{afflict} them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh

treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

afflict Ye shall not {afflict} any widow, or
fatherless

child.

afflict If thou {afflict} them in any wise, and they
cry

at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;

afflict And [this] shall be a statute for ever unto
you:

[that] in the seventh month, on the tenth [day] of the month, ye

shall {afflict} your souls, and do no work at all, [whether it
be]

one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth

among you:

a

fflict It [shall be] a sabbath of rest unto you, and
ye

shall {afflict} your souls, by a statute for ever.

afflict Also on the tenth [day] of this seventh month

[there shall be] a day of atonement: it shall be an holy
convocation

unto you; and ye shall {afflict} your souls, and offer an
offering

made by fire unto the LORD.

afflict It [shall be] unto you a sabbath of rest,
and ye

shall {afflict} your souls: in the ninth [day] of the month at
even,

from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

afflict And ships [shall come] from the coast of

Chittim, and shall {afflict} Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and
he

also shall perish for ever.

afflict And ships [shall come] from the coast of

Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall {afflict} Eber, and
he

also shall perish for ever.

afflict And ye shall have on the tenth [day] of this

seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall {afflict} your

souls: ye shall not do any work [therein]:

afflict Every vow, and every binding oath to
{afflict}

the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make
it

void.

afflict And the lords of the Philistines came up unto

her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great

strength [lieth], and by what [means] we may prevail against him,

that we may bind him to {afflict} him: and we will give thee e

very one of us eleven hundred [pieces] of silver.

afflict And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray
thee,

wherein thy great strength [lieth], and wherewith thou mightest
be

bound to {afflict} thee.

afflict And she made him sleep upon her knees; and
she

called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven
locks of

his head; and she began to {afflict} him, and his strength went
from

him.

afflict <2SA7 -10> Moreover I will appoint a place for my people

Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of
their

own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness

{afflict} them any more, as beforetime,

afflict <1KI11 -39> And I will for this {afflict} the seed of
David,

but not for ever.

afflict <2CH6 -26> When the heaven is shut up, and there is no
rain,

because they have sinned against thee; [yet] if they pray toward

this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when
thou

dost {afflict} them;

afflict Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river
of

Ahava, that we might {afflict} ourselves before our God, to seek
of

him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our

substance.

afflict Touching] the Almighty, we cannot find him
out:

[he is] excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of

justice: he will not {afflict}.

afflict How] thou didst drive out the heathen with thy

hand, and plantedst them; [how] thou didst {afflict} the people,
and

cast them out.

afflict God shall hear, and {afflict} them, even he
that

abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore
they

fear not God.

afflict The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the
son

of wickedness {afflict} him.

afflict They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and

{afflict} thine heritage.

afflict And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and

destroy all them that {afflict} my soul: for I [am] thy servant.

afflict Nevertheless the dimness [shall] not [be] such
as

[was] in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the

land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more

grievously {afflict} [her by] the way of the sea, beyond

Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.

a

fflict But I will put it into the hand of them that

{afflict} thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we
may

go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the

street, to them that went over.

afflict Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day
for a

man to {afflict} his soul? [is it] to bow down his head as a

bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes [under him]? wilt thou

call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

afflict Wilt thou refrain thyself for these [things],
O

LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and {afflict} us very sore?

afflict And it shall come to pass, [that] like as I
have

watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw

down, and to destroy, and to {afflict}; so will I watch over
them,

to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.

afflict For he doth not {afflict} willingly nor grieve

the children of men.

afflict For I know your manifold transgressions, and
your

mighty sins: they {afflict} the just, they take a bribe, and they

turn aside the poor in the gate [from their right].

afflict But, behold, I will raise up against you a

nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and
they

shall {afflict} you from the entering in of Hemath unto the
river of

the wilderness.

afflict Thus saith the LORD; Though [they be] quiet,
and

likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall
pass

through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will {afflict} thee no

more.

afflict Behold, at that time I will undo all that

{afflict} thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her

that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every

land where they have been put to shame.
