anger <GEN27 -45> Until thy brother's {anger} turn away from thee, and

he forget [that] which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and

fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in

        one day?

anger <GEN30 -2> And Jacob's {anger} was kindled against Rachel: and he

said, [Am] I in God's stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of

        the womb?

anger <GEN44 -18> Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord,

let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord's ears, and let

not thine {anger} burn against thy servant: for thou [art] even as

        Pharaoh.

anger <GEN49 -6> O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their

assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their {anger} they

slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.

anger <GEN49 -7> Cursed [be] their {anger}, for [it was] fierce; and

their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter

        them in Israel.

anger <EXO4 -14> And the {anger} of the LORD was kindled against Moses,

and he said, [Is] not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can

speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he

seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.

anger <EXO11 -8> And all these thy servants shall come down unto me,

and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the

people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out

from Pharaoh in a great {anger}.

anger <EXO32 -19> And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the

camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' {anger} waxed

hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath

        the mount.

anger <EXO32 -22> And Aaron said, Let not the {anger} of my lord wax

hot: thou knowest the people, that they [are set] on mischief.

anger <NUM11 -1> And [when] the people complained, it displeased the

LORD: and the LORD heard [it]; and his {anger} was kindled; and the

fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed [them that were] in the

        uttermost parts of the camp.

anger <NUM11 -10> Then Moses heard the people weep throughout their

families, every man in the door of his tent: and the {anger} of the

LORD was kindled greatly; Moses also was displeased.

        anger <NUM12 -9> And the {anger} of the LORD was kindled against them;

        and he departed.

anger <NUM22 -22> And God's {anger} was kindled because he went: and

the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him.

Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants [were] with him.

anger <NUM22 -27> And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell

down under Balaam: and Balaam's {anger} was kindled, and he smote the

        ass with a staff.

anger <NUM24 -10> And Balak's {anger} was kindled against Balaam, and

he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee

to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed [them]

        these three times.

anger <NUM25 -3> And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the

{anger} of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

anger <NUM25 -4> And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of

the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the

fierce {anger} of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

anger <NUM32 -10> And the LORD'S {anger} was kindled the same time, and

        he sware, saying,

anger <NUM32 -13> And the LORD'S {anger} was kindled against Israel,

and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the

generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.

anger <NUM32 -14> And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead,

an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce {anger} of the

        LORD toward Israel.

anger <DEU4 -25> When thou shalt beget children, and children's

children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall

corrupt [yourselves], and make a graven image, [or] the likeness of any

[thing], and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke

        him to {anger}:

anger <DEU6 -15> For the LORD thy God [is] a jealous God among you)

lest the {anger} of the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and

destroy thee from off the face of the earth.

anger <DEU7 -4> For they will turn away thy son from following me, that

they may serve other gods: so will the {anger} of the LORD be kindled

against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

anger <DEU9 -18> And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first,

forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water,

because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the

sight of the LORD, to provoke him to {anger}.

anger <DEU9 -19> For I was afraid of the {anger} and hot displeasure,

wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD

hearkened unto me at that time also.

anger <DEU13 -17> And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to

thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his {anger},

and show thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee,

        as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;

anger <DEU29 -20> The LORD will not spare him, but then the {anger} of

the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the

curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD

shall blot out his name from under heaven.

anger <DEU29 -23> And that] the whole land thereof [is] brimstone, and

salt, [and] burning, [that] it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass

groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and

Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his {anger}, and in his wrath:

anger <DEU29 -24> Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD

done thus unto this land? what [meaneth] the heat of this great

        {anger}?

anger <DEU29 -27> And the {anger} of the LORD was kindled against this

land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:

anger <DEU29 -28> And the LORD rooted them out of their land in

{anger}, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into

another land, as [it is] this day.

anger <DEU31 -17> Then my {anger} shall be kindled against them in that

day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and

        they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them;

so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us,

because our God [is] not among us?

anger <DEU31 -29> For I know that after my death ye will utterly

corrupt [yourselves], and turn aside from the way which I have

commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye

        will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to {anger}

through the work of your hands.

anger <DEU32 -16> They provoked him to jealousy with strange [gods],

with abominations provoked they him to {anger}.

anger <DEU32 -21> They have moved me to jealousy with [that which is]

not God; they have provoked me to {anger} with their vanities: and I

will move them to jealousy with [those which are] not a people; I will

provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

anger <DEU32 -21> They have moved me to jealousy with [that which is]

not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will

move them to jealousy with [those which are] not a people; I will

provoke them to {anger} with a foolish nation.

anger <DEU32 -22> For a fire is kindled in mine {anger}, and shall burn

unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase,

and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

anger <JOS7 -1> But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the

accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son

of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the

{anger} of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.

anger <JOS7 -26> And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto

this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his {anger}.

Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto

        this day.

anger <JOS23 -16> When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD

your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods,

and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the {anger} of the LORD be

kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land

which he hath given unto you.

anger <JUG2 -12> And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which

brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the

gods of the people that [were] round about them, and bowed themselves

unto them, and provoked the LORD to {anger}.

anger <JUG2 -14> And the {anger} of the LORD was hot against Israel,

and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and

he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they

could not any longer stand before their enemies.

        anger <JUG2 -20> And the {anger} of the LORD was hot against Israel;

and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant

        which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice;

anger <JUG3 -8> Therefore the {anger} of the LORD was hot against

Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of

Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight

        years.

anger <JUG6 -39> And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine {anger} be hot

against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee,

but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece,

and upon all the ground let there be dew.

anger <JUG8 -3> God hath delivered into your hands the princes of

Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able to do in comparison of you?

Then their {anger} was abated toward him, when he had said that.

anger <JUG9 -30> And when Zebul the ruler of the city heard the words

of Gaal the son of Ebed, his {anger} was kindled.

anger <JUG10 -7> And the {anger} of the LORD was hot against Israel,

and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands

        of the children of Ammon.

anger <JUG14 -19> And the spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went

down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil,

and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And

his {anger} was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.

anger <1SA11 -6> And the spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard

those tidings, and his {anger} was kindled greatly.

anger <1SA17 -28> And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto

the men; and Eliab's {anger} was kindled against David, and he said,

Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few

sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine

heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.

anger <1SA20 -30> Then Saul's {anger} was kindled against Jonathan, and

he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious [woman], do not I

know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and

unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness?

anger <1SA20 -34> So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce {anger},

and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for

David, because his father had done him shame.

        anger <2SA6 -7> And the {anger} of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah;

and God smote him there for [his] error; and there he died by the ark

        of God.

anger <2SA12 -5> And David's {anger} was greatly kindled against the

man; and he said to Nathan, [As] the LORD liveth, the man that hath

done this [thing] shall surely die:

anger <2SA24 -1> And again the {anger} of the LORD was kindled against

Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and

        Judah.

anger <1KI14 -9> But hast done evil above all that were before thee:

for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to

provoke me to {anger}, and hast cast me behind thy back:

anger <1KI14 -15> For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken

in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which

he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river,

because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to {anger}.

anger <1KI15 -30> Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and

which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the

LORD God of Israel to {anger}.

anger <1KI16 -2> Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made

thee prince over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of

Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to

        {anger} with their sins;

anger <1KI16 -7> And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of

Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against his house,

even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, in

provoking him to {anger} with the work of his hands, in being like the

house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.

anger <1KI16 -13> For all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his

son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel to sin, in

provoking the LORD God of Israel to {anger} with their vanities.

anger <1KI16 -26> For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of

Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke the

LORD God of Israel to {anger} with their vanities.

anger <1KI16 -33> And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke

the LORD God of Israel to {anger} than all the kings of Israel that

        were before him.

anger <1KI21 -22> And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam

the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for

the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked [me] to {anger}, and made

        Israel to sin.

anger <1KI22 -53> For he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked

to {anger} the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had

        done.

anger <2KI13 -3> And the {anger} of the LORD was kindled against

Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria,

and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, all [their] days.

anger <2KI17 -11> And there they burnt incense in all the high places,

as [did] the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and

wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to {anger}:

anger <2KI17 -17> And they caused their sons and their daughters to

pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold

themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to

        {anger}.

anger <2KI21 -6> And he made his son pass through the fire, and

observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits

and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to

        provoke [him] to {anger}.

anger <2KI21 -15> Because they have done [that which was] evil in my

sight, and have provoked me to {anger}, since the day their fathers

came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.

anger <2KI22 -17> Because they have forsaken me, and have burned

incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to {anger} with all

the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against

this place, and shall not be quenched.

anger <2KI23 -19> And all the houses also of the high places that

[were] in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to

provoke [the LORD] to {anger}, Josiah took away, and did to them

according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.

anger <2KI23 -26> Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the

fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his {anger} was kindled

against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had

        provoked him withal.

anger <2KI24 -20> For through the {anger} of the LORD it came to pass

in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence,

that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

anger <1CH13 -10> And the {anger} of the LORD was kindled against Uzza,

and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died

        before God.

anger <2CH25 -10> Then Amaziah separated them, [to wit], the army that

was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger

was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great

        {anger}.

anger <2CH25 -10> Then Amaziah separated them, [to wit], the army that

was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their

{anger} was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in

        great anger.

anger <2CH25 -15> Wherefore the {anger} of the LORD was kindled against

Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast

thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their

own people out of thine hand?

anger <2CH28 -25> And in every several city of Judah he made high

places to burn incense unto other gods, and provoked to {anger} the

        LORD God of his fathers.

anger <2CH33 -6> And he caused his children to pass through the fire in

the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used

enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit,

and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to

        provoke him to {anger}.

anger <2CH34 -25> Because they have forsaken me, and have burned

incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to {anger} with all

the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be poured out upon

this place, and shall not be quenched.

anger <NEH4 -5> And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be

        blotted out from before thee: for they have provoked [thee] to {anger}

        before the builders.

anger <NEH9 -17> And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy

wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in

their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but

thou [art] a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to

{anger}, and of great kindness, and forsookest them not.

anger <EST1 -12> But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's

commandment by [his] chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth,

and his {anger} burned in him.

anger <JOB9 -5> Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which

        overturneth them in his {anger}.

anger <JOB9 -13> If] God will not withdraw his {anger}, the proud

        helpers do stoop under him.

anger <JOB18 -4> He teareth himself in his {anger}: shall the earth be

forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?

anger <JOB21 -17> How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and [how

oft] cometh their destruction upon them! [God] distributeth sorrows in

        his {anger}.

anger <JOB35 -15> But now, because [it is] not [so], he hath visited in

his {anger}; yet he knoweth [it] not in great extremity:

anger <PSA6 -1> To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A

Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thine {anger}, neither chasten

        me in thy hot displeasure.

anger <PSA7 -6> Arise, O LORD, in thine {anger}, lift up thyself

because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me [to] the judgment

        [that] thou hast commanded.

anger <PSA21 -9> Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of

thine {anger}: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the

        fire shall devour them.

anger <PSA27 -9> Hide not thy face [far] from me; put not thy servant

away in {anger}: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake

me, O God of my salvation.

anger <PSA30 -5> For his {anger} [endureth but] a moment; in his favour

[is] life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy [cometh] in the

        morning.

anger <PSA37 -8> Cease from {anger}, and forsake wrath: fret not

thyself in any wise to do evil.

anger <PSA38 -3> There is] no soundness in my flesh because of thine

{anger}; neither [is there any] rest in my bones because of my sin.

anger <PSA56 -7> Shall they escape by iniquity? in [thine] {anger} cast

        down the people, O God.

anger <PSA69 -24> Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy

wrathful {anger} take hold of them.

anger <PSA74 -1> Maschil of Asaph. O God, why hast thou cast [us] off

for ever? [why] doth thine {anger} smoke against the sheep of thy

        pasture?

        anger <PSA77 -9> Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in {anger}

shut up his tender mercies? Selah.

anger <PSA78 -21> Therefore the LORD heard [this], and was wroth: so a

fire was kindled against Jacob, and {anger} also came up against

        Israel;

anger <PSA78 -38> But he, [being] full of compassion, forgave [their]

iniquity, and destroyed [them] not: yea, many a time turned he his

{anger} away, and did not stir up all his wrath.

anger <PSA78 -49> He cast upon them the fierceness of his {anger},

wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels [among

        them].

anger <PSA78 -50> He made a way to his {anger}; he spared not their

        soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence;

anger <PSA78 -58> For they provoked him to {anger} with their high

places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

anger <PSA85 -3> Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned

[thyself] from the fierceness of thine {anger}.

anger <PSA85 -4> Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine

        {anger} toward us to cease.

anger <PSA85 -5> Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw

out thine {anger} to all generations?

anger <PSA90 -7> For we are consumed by thine {anger}, and by thy wrath

        are we troubled.

anger <PSA90 -11> Who knoweth the power of thine {anger}? even

according to thy fear, [so is] thy wrath.

anger <PSA103 -8> The LORD [is] merciful and gracious, slow to {anger},

        and plenteous in mercy.

anger <PSA103 -9> He will not always chide: neither will he keep [his

        {anger}] for ever.

anger <PSA106 -29> Thus they provoked [him] to {anger} with their

inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.

anger <PSA145 -8> The LORD [is] gracious, and full of compassion; slow

to {anger}, and of great mercy.

anger <PRO15 -1> A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words

        stir up {anger}.

anger <PRO15 -18> A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but [he that is]

        slow to {anger} appeaseth strife.

anger <PRO16 -32> He that is] slow to {anger} [is] better than the

mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

anger <PRO19 -11> The discretion of a man deferreth his {anger}; and

[it is] his glory to pass over a transgression.

anger <PRO20 -2> The fear of a king [is] as the roaring of a lion:

[whoso] provoketh him to {anger} sinneth [against] his own soul.

anger <PRO21 -14> A gift in secret pacifieth {anger}: and a reward in

        the bosom strong wrath.

anger <PRO22 -8> He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod

        of his {anger} shall fail.

anger <PRO27 -4> Wrath [is] cruel, and {anger} [is] outrageous; but who

[is] able to stand before envy?

        anger <ECC7 -9> Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for {anger}

resteth in the bosom of fools.

anger <ISA1 -4> Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed

of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the

LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto {anger}, they are

        gone away backward.

anger <ISA5 -25> Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his

people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath

smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases [were] torn

in the midst of the streets. For all this his {anger} is not turned

away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.

anger <ISA5 -25> Therefore is the {anger} of the LORD kindled against

his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath

smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases [were] torn

in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away,

but his hand [is] stretched out still.

anger <ISA7 -4> And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not,

neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands,

for the fierce {anger} of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.

anger <ISA9 -12> The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and

they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his {anger} is

not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.

anger <ISA9 -17> Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young

men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every

one [is] an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly.

For all this his {anger} is not turned away, but his hand [is]

        stretched out still.

anger <ISA9 -21> Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: [and] they

together [shall be] against Judah. For all this his {anger} is not

turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.

anger <ISA10 -4> Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners,

and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his {anger} is not

turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.

anger <ISA10 -5> O Assyrian, the rod of mine {anger}, and the staff in

        their hand is mine indignation.

anger <ISA10 -25> For yet a very little while, and the indignation

shall cease, and mine {anger} in their destruction.

anger <ISA12 -1> And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise

thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine {anger} is turned away, and

        thou comfortedst me.

anger <ISA13 -3> I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also

called my mighty ones for mine {anger}, [even] them that rejoice in my

        highness.

anger <ISA13 -9> Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with

wrath and fierce {anger}, to lay the land desolate: and he shall

destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

anger <ISA13 -13> Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth

shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and

in the day of his fierce {anger}.

anger <ISA14 -6> He who smote the people in wrath with a continual

stroke, he that ruled the nations in {anger}, is persecuted, [and] none

        hindereth.

anger <ISA30 -27> Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning

[with] his {anger}, and the burden [thereof is] heavy: his lips are

full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:

anger <ISA30 -30> And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be

heard, and shall show the lighting down of his arm, with the

indignation of [his] {anger}, and [with] the flame of a devouring fire,

[with] scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.

anger <ISA42 -25> Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his

{anger}, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round

about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid [it] not to

        heart.

anger <ISA48 -9> For my name's sake will I defer mine {anger}, and for

my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.

anger <ISA63 -3> I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people

[there was] none with me: for I will tread them in mine {anger}, and

trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my

garments, and I will stain all my raiment.

anger <ISA63 -6> And I will tread down the people in mine {anger}, and

make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the

        earth.

anger <ISA65 -3> A people that provoketh me to {anger} continually to

my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars

        of brick;

anger <ISA66 -15> For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with

his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his {anger} with fury, and his

        rebuke with flames of fire.

anger <JER2 -35> Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his

{anger} shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because

thou sayest, I have not sinned.

anger <JER3 -5> Will he reserve [his {anger}] for ever? will he keep

[it] to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou

        couldest.

anger <JER3 -12> Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say,

Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; [and] I will not cause

mine anger to fall upon you: for I [am] merciful, saith the LORD, [and]

I will not keep [{anger}] for ever.

anger <JER3 -12> Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say,

Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; [and] I will not cause

mine {anger} to fall upon you: for I [am] merciful, saith the LORD,

[and] I will not keep [anger] for ever.

anger <JER4 -8> For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for

the fierce {anger} of the LORD is not turned back from us.

anger <JER4 -26> I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place [was] a

wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence

of the LORD, [and] by his fierce {anger}.

anger <JER7 -18> The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the

fire, and the women knead [their] dough, to make cakes to the queen of

heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may

        provoke me to {anger}.

anger <JER7 -19> Do they provoke me to {anger}? saith the LORD: [do

they] not [provoke] themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

anger <JER7 -20> Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, mine

{anger} and my fury shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and

upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the

ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

anger <JER8 -19> Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my

people because of them that dwell in a far country: [Is] not the LORD

        in Zion? [is] not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to {anger}

with their graven images, [and] with strange vanities?

anger <JER10 -24> O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine

{anger}, lest thou bring me to nothing.

anger <JER11 -17> For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath

pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and

of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to

provoke me to {anger} in offering incense unto Baal.

anger <JER12 -13> They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns: they

have put themselves to pain, [but] shall not profit: and they shall be

ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce {anger} of the LORD.

anger <JER15 -14> And I will make [thee] to pass with thine enemies

into a land [which] thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine

{anger}, [which] shall burn upon you.

anger <JER17 -4> And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine

heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies

in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine

{anger}, [which] shall burn for ever.

anger <JER18 -23> Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel against me

to slay [me]: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin

from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal [thus]

with them in the time of thine {anger}.

anger <JER21 -5> And I myself will fight against you with an

outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in {anger}, and in fury,

        and in great wrath.

anger <JER23 -20> The {anger} of the LORD shall not return, until he

have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in

the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

anger <JER25 -6> And go not after other gods to serve them, and to

worship them, and provoke me not to {anger} with the works of your

hands; and I will do you no hurt.

        anger <JER25 -7> Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD;

that ye might provoke me to {anger} with the works of your hands to

        your own hurt.

anger <JER25 -37> And the peaceable habitations are cut down because of

the fierce {anger} of the LORD.

anger <JER25 -38> He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for their

land is desolate because of the fierceness of the oppressor, and

        because of his fierce {anger}.

anger <JER30 -24> The fierce {anger} of the LORD shall not return,

until he have done [it], and until he have performed the intents of his

heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.

anger <JER32 -29> And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city,

shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon

whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink

offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to {anger}.

anger <JER32 -30> For the children of Israel and the children of Judah

have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of

Israel have only provoked me to {anger} with the work of their hands,

        saith the LORD.

anger <JER32 -31> For this city hath been to me [as] a provocation of

mine {anger} and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto

this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

anger <JER32 -32> Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and

of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to

{anger}, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their

prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

anger <JER32 -37> Behold, I will gather them out of all countries,

whither I have driven them in mine {anger}, and in my fury, and in

great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will

        cause them to dwell safely:

anger <JER33 -5> They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but [it is] to

fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine

{anger} and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face

        from this city.

anger <JER36 -7> It may be they will present their supplication before

the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great [is]

the {anger} and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this

        people.

        anger <JER42 -18> For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel;

As mine {anger} and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants

of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall

enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment,

and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.

anger <JER44 -3> Because of their wickedness which they have committed

to provoke me to {anger}, in that they went to burn incense, [and] to

serve other gods, whom they knew not, [neither] they, ye, nor your

        fathers.

anger <JER44 -6> Wherefore my fury and mine {anger} was poured forth,

        and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem;

and they are wasted [and] desolate, as at this day.

anger <JER49 -37> For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their

enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil

upon them, [even] my fierce {anger}, saith the LORD; and I will send

the sword after them, till I have consumed them:

anger <JER51 -45> My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver

ye every man his soul from the fierce {anger} of the LORD.

anger <JER52 -3> For through the {anger} of the LORD it came to pass in

Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that

Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

anger <LAM1 -12> Is it] nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold,

and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto

me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted [me] in the day of his fierce

        {anger}.

anger <LAM2 -1> How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a

cloud in his anger, [and] cast down from heaven unto the earth the

beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his

        {anger}!

anger <LAM2 -1> How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a

cloud in his {anger}, [and] cast down from heaven unto the earth the

beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his

        anger!

anger <LAM2 -3> He hath cut off in [his] fierce {anger} all the horn of

Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he

burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, [which] devoureth round

        about.

anger <LAM2 -6> And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as [if

it were of] a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the

LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in

Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his {anger} the king and

        the priest.

anger <LAM2 -21> The young and the old lie on the ground in the

streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast

slain [them] in the day of thine {anger}; thou hast killed, [and] not

        pitied.

anger <LAM2 -22> Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round

about, so that in the day of the LORD'S {anger} none escaped nor

remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy

        consumed.

anger <LAM3 -43> Thou hast covered with {anger}, and persecuted us:

thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

anger <LAM3 -66> Persecute and destroy them in {anger} from under the

        heavens of the LORD.

anger <LAM4 -11> The LORD hath accomplished his fury; he hath poured

out his fierce {anger}, and hath kindled a fire in Zion, and it hath

        devoured the foundations thereof.

anger <LAM4 -16> The {anger} of the LORD hath divided them; he will no

more regard them: they respected not the persons of the priests, they

        favoured not the elders.

anger <EZE5 -13> Thus shall mine {anger} be accomplished, and I will

cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they

shall know that I the LORD have spoken [it] in my zeal, when I have

        accomplished my fury in them.

anger <EZE5 -15> So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction

and an astonishment unto the nations that [are] round about thee, when

I shall execute judgments in thee in {anger} and in fury and in furious

rebukes. I the LORD have spoken [it].

anger <EZE7 -3> Now [is] the end [come] upon thee, and I will send mine

{anger} upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will

recompense upon thee all thine abominations.

anger <EZE7 -8> Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and

accomplish mine {anger} upon thee: and I will judge thee according to

thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.

anger <EZE8 -17> Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen [this], O son of

man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the

abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with

violence, and have returned to provoke me to {anger}: and, lo, they put

        the branch to their nose.

anger <EZE13 -13> Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend

[it] with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing

shower in mine {anger}, and great hailstones in [my] fury to consume

        [it].

anger <EZE16 -26> Thou hast also committed fornication with the

Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy

whoredoms, to provoke me to {anger}.

anger <EZE20 -8> But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken

unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their

eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will

pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my {anger} against them in

the midst of the land of Egypt.

anger <EZE20 -21> Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me:

they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them,

which [if] a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my

sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to

accomplish my {anger} against them in the wilderness.

anger <EZE22 -20> As] they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and

lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it,

to melt [it]; so will I gather [you] in mine {anger} and in my fury,

and I will leave [you there], and melt you.

anger <EZE25 -14> And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of

        my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine {anger}

and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the

        Lord GOD.

anger <EZE35 -11> Therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will

even do according to thine {anger}, and according to thine envy which

thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself

known among them, when I have judged thee.

anger <EZE43 -8> In their setting of their threshold by my thresholds,

and their post by my posts, and the wall between me and them, they have

even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have

committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine {anger}.

anger <DAN9 -16> O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech

thee, let thine {anger} and thy fury be turned away from thy city

Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the

iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people [are become] a

reproach to all [that are] about us.

anger <DAN11 -20> Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes

[in] the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be

destroyed, neither in {anger}, nor in battle.

        anger <HOS8 -5> Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast [thee] off; mine {anger}

is kindled against them: how long [will it be] ere they attain to

        innocency?

anger <HOS11 -9> I will not execute the fierceness of mine {anger}, I

will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I [am] God, and not man; the

Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.

anger <HOS12 -14> Ephraim provoked [him] to {anger} most bitterly:

therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his

        Lord return unto him.

anger <HOS13 -11> I gave thee a king in mine {anger}, and took [him]

        away in my wrath.

anger <HOS14 -4> I will heal their backsliding, I will love them

freely: for mine {anger} is turned away from him.

anger <JOE2 -13> And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn

unto the LORD your God: for he [is] gracious and merciful, slow to

{anger}, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

anger <AMO1 -11> Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom,

and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment] thereof; because he

did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and

his {anger} did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

anger <JON3 -9> Who can tell [if] God will turn and repent, and turn

away from his fierce {anger}, that we perish not?

anger <JON4 -2> And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O

LORD, [was] not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore

I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou [art] a gracious God,

and merciful, slow to {anger}, and of great kindness, and repentest

        thee of the evil.

anger <MIC5 -15> And I will execute vengeance in {anger} and fury upon

the heathen, such as they have not heard.

anger <MIC7 -18> Who [is] a God like unto thee, that pardoneth

iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his

heritage? he retaineth not his {anger} for ever, because he delighteth

        [in] mercy.

anger <NAH1 -3> The LORD [is] slow to {anger}, and great in power, and

will not at all acquit [the wicked]: the LORD hath his way in the

whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds [are] the dust of his feet.

anger <NAH1 -6> Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide

in the fierceness of his {anger}? his fury is poured out like fire, and

the rocks are thrown down by him.

anger <HAB3 -8> Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? [was] thine

{anger} against the rivers? [was] thy wrath against the sea, that thou

didst ride upon thine horses [and] thy chariots of salvation?

anger <HAB3 -12> Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou

didst thresh the heathen in {anger}.

anger <ZEP2 -2> Before the decree bring forth, [before] the day pass as

the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before

the day of the LORD'S {anger} come upon you.

anger <ZEP2 -2> Before the decree bring forth, [before] the day pass as

the chaff, before the fierce {anger} of the LORD come upon you, before

the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.

anger <ZEP2 -3> Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have

wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye

shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S {anger}.

anger <ZEP3 -8> Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the

day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination [is] to gather the

nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine

indignation, [even] all my fierce {anger}: for all the earth shall be

devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

anger <ZEC10 -3> Mine {anger} was kindled against the shepherds, and I

punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the

house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

anger <MAR3 -5> And when he had looked round about on them with

{anger}, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto

the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it] out: and his

hand was restored whole as the other.

anger <ROM10 -19> But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I

will provoke you to jealousy by them that are] no people, and] by a

foolish nation I will {anger} you.

anger <EPH4 -31> Let all bitterness, and wrath, and {anger}, and

clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

anger <COL3 -8> But now ye also put off all these; {anger}, wrath,

malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

anger <COL3 -21> Fathers, provoke not your children to {anger}], lest

        they be discouraged.

angered <PSA106 -32> They {angered} [him] also at the waters of strife,
