sacrifice <2KI10 -19> Now therefore call unto me all the

prophets of

Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting:

for I have a great {sacrifice} [to do] to Baal; whosoever shall

be

wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did [it] in subt

lety, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of

Baal.

sacrifice <2KI14 -4> Howbeit the high places were not taken away:

 as

yet the people did {sacrifice} and burnt incense on the high

places.

sacrifice <2KI16 -15> And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest,

saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and

the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt {sacrifice}, and

his

meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the peopl

e of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink

offerings;

and sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all

the blood of the sacrifice: and the brazen altar shall be for me

to

inquire [by].

sacrifice <2KI16 -15> And king Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest,

saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and

the evening meat offering, and the king's burnt sacrifice, and

his

meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people

of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings;

and

sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the

blood of the {sacrifice}: and the brazen altar shall be for me to

inquire [by].

sacrifice <2KI17 -35> With whom the LORD had made a covenant, and

charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow

yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor {sacrifice} to them:

sacrifice <2KI17 -36> But the LORD, who brought you up out of the

land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him

shall ye

fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do

{sacrifice}.

sacrifice <2CH2 -6> But who is able to build him an house, seeing

the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who [am] I

then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn

{sacrifice} before him?

sacrifice <2CH7 -5> And king Solomon offered a {sacrifice} of

twenty

and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep:

so

the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

sacrifice <2CH7 -12> And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night,

and

said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this

place

to myself for an house of {sacrifice}.

sacrifice <2CH11 -16> And after them out of all the tribes of

Israel

such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to

Jerusalem, to {sacrifice} unto the LORD God of their fathers.

sacrifice <2CH28 -23> For he sacrificed unto the gods of

Damascus,

which smote him: and he said, Because the gods of the kings of

Syria

help them, [therefore] will I {sacrifice} to them, that they may

help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Isr

ael.

sacrifice <2CH33 -17> Nevertheless the people did {sacrifice}

still

in the high places, [yet] unto the LORD their God only.

sacrifice <EZR4 -2> Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the

chief

of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we

seek your God, as ye [do]; and we do {sacrifice} unto him since

the

days of Esarhaddon king of Assur, which brought us up

hither.

sacrifice <EZR9 -4> Then were assembled unto me every one that

trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the

transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat

astonied until the evening {sacrifice}.

sacrifice <EZR9 -5> And at the evening {sacrifice} I arose up

from

my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell

upon

my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God,

sacrifice <NEH4 -2> And he spake before his brethren and the

army of

Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify

themselves? will they {sacrifice}? will they make an end in a

day?

will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rub

bish which are burned?

sacrifice <PSA20 -3> Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy

burnt {sacrifice}; Selah.

sacrifice <PSA40 -6> {Sacrifice} and offering thou didst not

desire;

mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast

thou not required.

sacrifice <PSA50 -5> Gather my saints together unto me; those

that

have made a covenant with me by {sacrifice}.

sacrifice <PSA51 -16> For thou desirest not {sacrifice}; else

would

I give [it]: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

sacrifice <PSA54 -6> I will freely {sacrifice} unto thee: I will

praise thy name, O LORD; for [it is] good.

sacrifice <PSA107 -22> And let them {sacrifice} the sacrifices of

thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

sacrifice <PSA116 -17> I will offer to thee the {sacrifice} of

thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

sacrifice <PSA118 -27> God [is] the LORD, which hath showed us

light: bind the {sacrifice} with cords, [even] unto the horns of

the

altar.

sacrifice <PSA141 -2> Let my prayer be set forth before thee [as]

incense; [and] the lifting up of my hands [as] the evening

{sacrifice}.

sacrifice <PRO15 -8> The {sacrifice} of the wicked [is] an

abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright [is] his

delight.

sacrifice <PRO21 -3> To do justice and judgment [is] more

acceptable

to the LORD than {sacrifice}.

sacrifice <PRO21 -27> The {sacrifice} of the wicked [is]

abomination: how much more, [when] he bringeth it with a wicked

mind?

sacrifice <ECC5 -1> Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of

God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the {sacrifice} of

fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

sacrifice <ISA19 -21> And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and

the

Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do

{sacrifice}

and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and

perform

[it].

sacrifice <ISA34 -6> The sword of the LORD is filled with blood,

it

is made fat with fatness, [and] with the blood of lambs and

goats,

with the fat of the kidneys of rams: for the LORD hath a

{sacrifice}

in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Idu

mea.

sacrifice <ISA57 -7> Upon a lofty and high mountain hast thou set

thy bed: even thither wentest thou up to offer {sacrifice}.

sacrifice <JER33 -11> The voice of joy, and the voice of

gladness,

the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the

voice

of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD

[is]

good; for his mercy [endureth] for ever: [and] of the

m that shall bring the {sacrifice} of praise into the house of

the

LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at

the first, saith the LORD.

sacrifice <JER33 -18> Neither shall the priests the Levites want

a

man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat

offerings, and to do {sacrifice} continually.

sacrifice <JER46 -10> For this [is] the day of the Lord GOD of

hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his

adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate

and

made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a

{sac

rifice} in the north country by the river Euphrates.

sacrifice <EZE39 -17> And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord

GOD;

Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field,

Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side

to my

sacrifice that I do {sacrifice} for you, [even] a g

reat sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat

flesh,

and drink blood.

sacrifice <EZE39 -17> And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord

GOD;

Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field,

Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side

to my

{sacrifice} that I do sacrifice for you, [even] a g

reat sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat

flesh,

and drink blood.

sacrifice <EZE39 -17> And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord

GOD;

Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field,

Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side

to my

sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, [even] a gre

at {sacrifice} upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat

flesh,

and drink blood.

sacrifice <EZE39 -19> And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and

drink blood till ye be drunken, of my {sacrifice} which I have

sacrificed for you.

sacrifice <EZE40 -42> And the four tables [were] of hewn stone

for

the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and

an

half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon also they laid the

instruments wherewith they slew the burnt offering and the

{sacrifice}.

sacrifice <EZE44 -11> Yet they shall be ministers in my

sanctuary,

[having] charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the

house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the {sacrifice} for

the people, and they shall stand before them to minister

 unto them.

sacrifice <EZE46 -24> Then said he unto me, These [are] the

places

of them that boil, where the ministers of the house shall boil

the

{sacrifice} of the people.

sacrifice <DAN8 -11> Yea, he magnified [himself] even to the

prince

of the host, and by him the daily [{sacrifice}] was taken away,

and

the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

sacrifice <DAN8 -12> And an host was given [him] against the

daily

[{sacrifice}] by reason of transgression, and it cast down the

truth

to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered.

sacrifice <DAN8 -13> Then I heard one saint speaking, and another

saint said unto that certain [saint] which spake, How long [shall

be] the vision [concerning] the daily [{sacrifice}], and the

transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and th

e host to be trodden under foot?

sacrifice <DAN9 -27> And he shall confirm the covenant with many

for

one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the

{sacrifice} and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading

of

abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the con

summation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

sacrifice <DAN11 -31> And arms shall stand on his part, and they

shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the

daily [{sacrifice}], and they shall place the abomination that

maketh desolate.

sacrifice <DAN12 -11> And from the time [that] the daily

[{sacrifice}] shall be taken away, and the abomination that

maketh

desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand two hundred and

ninety

days.

sacrifice <HOS3 -4> For the children of Israel shall abide many

days

without a king, and without a prince, and without a {sacrifice},

and

without an image, and without an ephod, and [without] teraphim:

sacrifice <HOS4 -13> They {sacrifice} upon the tops of the

mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and

poplars

and elms, because the shadow thereof [is] good: therefore your

daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit

adu

ltery.

sacrifice <HOS4 -14> I will not punish your daughters when they

commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for

themselves are separated with whores, and they {sacrifice} with

harlots: therefore the people [that] doth not understand shall

 fall.

sacrifice <HOS6 -6> For I desired mercy, and not {sacrifice}; and

the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

sacrifice <HOS8 -13> They {sacrifice} flesh [for] the sacrifices

of

mine offerings, and eat [it; but] the LORD accepteth them not;

now

will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall

return to Egypt.

sacrifice <HOS12 -11> Is there] iniquity [in] Gilead? surely they

are vanity: they {sacrifice} bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their

altars

[are] as heaps in the furrows of the fields.

sacrifice <HOS13 -2> And now they sin more and more, and have

made

them molten images of their silver, [and] idols according to

their

own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say

of

them, Let the men that {sacrifice} kiss the calves.

sacrifice <AMO4 -5> And offer a {sacrifice} of thanksgiving with

leaven, and proclaim [and] publish the free offerings: for this

liketh you, O ye children of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

sacrifice <JON1 -16> Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly,

and

offered a {sacrifice} unto the LORD, and made vows.

sacrifice <JON2 -9> But I will {sacrifice} unto thee with the

voice

of thanksgiving; I will pay [that] that I have vowed. Salvation

[is]

of the LORD.

sacrifice <HAB1 -16> Therefore they {sacrifice} unto their net,

and

burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion [is]

fat, and their meat plenteous.

sacrifice <ZEP1 -7> Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord

GOD:

for the day of the LORD [is] at hand: for the LORD hath prepared

a

{sacrifice}, he hath bid his guests.

sacrifice <ZEP1 -8> And it shall come to pass in the day of the

LORD'S {sacrifice}, that I will punish the princes, and the

king's

children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

sacrifice <ZEC14 -21> Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah

shall

be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that {sacrifice}

shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day

there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of th

e LORD of hosts.

sacrifice <MAL1 -8> And if ye offer the blind for {sacrifice},

[is

it] not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, [is it] not

evil?

offer it now unto thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or

accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.

sacrifice <MAT9 -13> But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I

will

have mercy, and not {sacrifice}: for I am not come to call the

righteous, but sinners to repentance.

sacrifice <MAT12 -7> But if ye had known what [this] meaneth, I

will

have mercy, and not {sacrifice}, ye would not have condemned the

guiltless.

sacrifice <MAR9 -49> For every one shall be salted with fire, and

every {sacrifice} shall be salted with salt.

sacrifice <LUK2 -24> And to offer a {sacrifice} according to that

which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or

two

young pigeons.

sacrifice <ACT7 -41> And they made a calf in those days, and

offered

{sacrifice} unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own

hands.

sacrifice <ACT14 -13> Then the priest of Jupiter, which was

before

their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would

have

done {sacrifice} with the people.

sacrifice <ACT14 -18> And with these sayings scarce restrained

they

the people, that they had not done {sacrifice} unto them.

sacrifice <ROM12 -1> I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the

mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living {sacrifice},

holy, acceptable unto God, which is] your reasonable service.

sacrifice <1CO8 -4> As concerning therefore the eating of those

things that are offered in {sacrifice} unto idols, we know that

an

idol is] nothing in the world, and that there is] none other God

but

one.

sacrifice <1CO10 -19> What say I then? that the idol is any

thing,

or that which is offered in {sacrifice} to idols is any thing?

sacrifice <1CO10 -20> But I say], that the things which the

Gentiles

sacrifice, they {sacrifice} to devils, and not to God: and I

would

not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

sacrifice <1CO10 -20> But I say], that the things which the

Gentiles

{sacrifice}, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I

would

not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

sacrifice <1CO10 -28> But if any man say unto you, This is

offered

in {sacrifice} unto idols, eat not for his sake that showed it,

and

for conscience sake: for the earth is] the Lord's, and the

fulness

thereof:

sacrifice <EPH5 -2> And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved

us,

and hath given himself for us an offering and a {sacrifice} to

God

for a sweetsmelling savour.

sacrifice <PHP2 -17> Yea, and if I be offered upon the

{sacrifice}

and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

sacrifice <PHP4 -18> But I have all, and abound: I am full,

having

received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent] from you, an

odour of a sweet smell, a {sacrifice} acceptable, wellpleasing to

God.

sacrifice <HEB7 -27> Who needeth not daily, as those high

priests,

to offer up {sacrifice}, first for his own sins, and then for the

people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

sacrifice <HEB9 -26> For then must he often have suffered since

the

foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world

hath

he appeared to put away sin by the {sacrifice} of himself.

sacrifice <HEB10 -5> Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he

saith, {Sacrifice} and offering thou wouldest not, but a body

hast

thou prepared me:

sacrifice <HEB10 -8> Above when he said, {Sacrifice} and offering

and burnt offerings and offering] for sin thou wouldest not,

neither

hadst pleasure therein]; which are offered by the law;

sacrifice <HEB10 -12> But this man, after he had offered one

{sacrifice} for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

sacrifice <HEB10 -26> For if we sin wilfully after that we have

received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more

{sacrifice} for sins,

sacrifice <HEB11 -4> By faith Abel offered unto God a more

excellent

{sacrifice} than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was

righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead

yet

speaketh.

sacrifice <HEB13 -15> By him therefore let us offer the

{sacrifice}

of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our] lips

giving

thanks to his name.
