baptist <MAT3 -1> In those days came John the {Baptist},

preaching

in the wilderness of Judaea,

of women there hath not risen a greater than John the {Baptist}:

notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is

greater

than he.

baptist <MAT11 -12> And from the days of John the {Baptist} until

now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent

it by force.

baptist <MAT14 -2> And said unto his servants, This is John the

{Baptist}; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works

show forth themselves in him.

{Baptist}: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the

prophets.

king, and asked, saying, I will that thou give me by and by in a

charger the head of John the {Baptist}.

say], Elias; and others, One of the prophets.

baptist <LUK7 -20> When the men were come unto him, they said,

John

{Baptist} hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should

come? or look we for another?

baptist <LUK7 -28> For I say unto you, Among those that are born

of

women there is not a greater prophet than John the {Baptist}:

but he

that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

baptist <LUK7 -33> For John the {Baptist} came neither eating

bread

nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.

baptist <LUK9 -19> They answering said, John the {Baptist}; but

some

say], Elias; and others say], that one of the old prophets is

risen

again.
