{able} men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness;

place [such] over them, [to be] rulers of thousands, [and]

rulers of

hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath

slain them in the wilderness.

able <NUM22 -11> Behold, [there is] a people come out of Egypt,

which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them;

peradventure I shall be {able} to overcome them, and drive them

out.

to slay them in the wilderness.

able <DEU11 -25> There shall no man be {able} to stand before

you:

[for] the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread

of

you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said

unto

you.

able <DEU14 -24> And if the way be too long for thee, so that

thou

art not {able} to carry it; [or] if the place be too far from

which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when

the

LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

able <DEU16 -17> Every man [shall give] as he is {able},

according

to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.

able <JOS1 -5> There shall not any man be {able} to stand before

thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, [so] I will

be

with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

able <JOS14 -12> Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the

LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the

Anakims [were] there, and [that] the cities [were] great [and]

fenced: if so be the LORD [will be] with me, then I shall be {ab

le} to drive them out, as the LORD said.

able <JOS23 -9> For the LORD hath driven out from before you

stand before you unto this day.

able <JUG8 -3> God hath delivered into your hands the princes of

able <1SA6 -20> And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is {able} to

stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from

then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and

kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.

able <1SA17 -33> And Saul said to David, Thou art not {able} to

go

against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou [art but] a

able <1KI3 -9> Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart

to

judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for

able <2KI18 -23> Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledges to my

lord

the king of Assyria, and I will deliver thee two thousand horses,

 if

thou be {able} on thy part to set riders upon them.

able <2KI18 -29> Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive

you:

for he shall not be {able} to deliver you out of his hand:

able <1CH5 -18> The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the

tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men {able} to bear buckler and

sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, [were] four and

forty thousand seven hundred and threescore, that went ou

t to the war.

able <1CH9 -13> And their brethren, heads of the house of their

fathers, a thousand and seven hundred and threescore; very {able}

men for the work of the service of the house of God.

able <1CH26 -8> All these of the sons of Obededom: they and their

sons and their brethren, {able} men for strength for the service,

[were] threescore and two of Obededom.

able <1CH29 -14> But who [am] I, and what [is] my people, that we

should be {able} to offer so willingly after this sort? for all

things [come] of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

able <2CH2 -6> But who is {able} to build him an house, seeing

the

heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who [am] I then,

that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice

before

him?

able <2CH7 -7> Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court

that [was] before the house of the LORD: for there he offered

burnt

offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brazen

altar which Solomon had made was not {able} to receive t

he burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat.

able <2CH20 -6> And said, O LORD God of our fathers, [art] not

thou

God in heaven? and rulest [not] thou over all the kingdoms of the

heathen? and in thine hand [is there not] power and might, so

that

none is {able} to withstand thee?

able <2CH20 -37> Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah

able <2CH25 -5> Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and

made

them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds,

according

to the houses of [their] fathers, throughout all Judah and

Benjamin:

and he numbered them from twenty years old and abov

e, and found them three hundred thousand choice [men, {able}] to

go

forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.

able <2CH25 -9> And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what

able <2CH32 -13> Know ye not what I and my fathers have done unto

all the people of [other] lands? were the gods of the nations of

those lands any ways {able} to deliver their lands out of mine

hand?

able <2CH32 -14> Who [was there] among all the gods of those

nations

that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people

out

of mine hand, that your God should be {able} to deliver you out

of

mine hand?

able <2CH32 -15> Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor

persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god

of

any nation or kingdom was {able} to deliver his people out of

mine

hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less

shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?

able <EZR10 -13> But the people [are] many, and [it is] a time of

able <PSA40 -12> For innumerable evils have compassed me about:

mine

up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart

faileth me.

able <PRO27 -4> Wrath [is] cruel, and anger [is] outrageous; but

who

[is] {able} to stand before envy?

able <ECC8 -17> Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man

cannot

find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a

man

labour to seek [it] out, yet he shall not find [it]; yea farther;

though a wise [man] think to know [it], yet shall he

not be {able} to find [it].

able <ISA36 -8> Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my

master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand

horses, if thou be {able} on thy part to set riders upon them.

able <ISA36 -14> Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive

you:

for he shall not be {able} to deliver you.

able <ISA47 -11> Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt

not

know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee;

thou

shalt not be {able} to put it off: and desolation shall come upon

thee suddenly, [which] thou shalt not know.

able <ISA47 -12> Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the

though

they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.

able <JER49 -10> But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his

is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he [is]

not.

able <LAM1 -14> The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his

hand:

they are wreathed, [and] come up upon my neck: he hath made my

[from whom] I am not {able} to rise up.

able <EZE7 -19> They shall cast their silver in the streets, and

s: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

able <EZE33 -12> Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the

children

of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not

deliver

him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the

urneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be

{able} to

live for his [righteousness] in the day that he sinneth.

able <EZE46 -5> And the meat offering [shall be] an ephah for a

ram,

and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be {able} to

give,

and an hin of oil to an ephah.

able <EZE46 -11> And in the feasts and in the solemnities the

meat

offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram,

and

to the lambs as he is {able} to give, and an hin of oil to an

ephah.

able <DAN2 -26> The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name

[was] Belteshazzar, Art thou {able} to make known unto me the

deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver

[us]

out of thine hand, O king.

able <DAN4 -18> This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now

thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof,

as all the wise [men] of my kingdom are not able to make known

unto

me the interpretation: but thou [art] {able}; for the s

pirit of the holy gods [is] in thee.

able <DAN4 -18> This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now

thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof,

forasmuch

as all the wise [men] of my kingdom are not {able} to make known

unto me the interpretation: but thou [art] able; for the s

pirit of the holy gods [is] in thee.

able} to receive [it], let him receive [it].

able <MAT20 -22> But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye

him, We are able.

able <MAT20 -22> But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye

to

 I

say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be {able}.

able <LUK14 -29> Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation,

and

is not {able} to finish it], all that behold it] begin to mock

him,

able <LUK14 -30> Saying, This man began to build, and was not

{able}

to finish.

able <LUK14 -31> Or what king, going to make war against another

king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be {able}

with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty

thousand?

able <LUK21 -15> For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which

all

hitherto ye were not able to bear it], neither yet now are ye

{able}.

not a

wise man among you? no, not one that shall be {able} to judge

between his brethren?

able <1CO10 -13> There hath no temptation taken you but such as

is

common to man: but God is] faithful, who will not suffer you to

be

tempted above that ye are {able}; but will with the temptation

also

make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it]

.
